Morning, I mean evening! I'm just typing this in the morning! Here's my make for this weeks Quirky Crafts Reminder, you have a week left to join in. The Challenge is Christmas and to use a special treasure on your card.
When we were deciding this challenge a few months back, it was going to be to use up those special papers and other things you've had for ages and not used because they are just too nice. I'd already decided to use the Pink Petticoat papers (Large Snow Flakes) which I bought at the end/beginning of last year (2011/2012) along with the lilac and silver ribbon.
Then we decided on something more, a 'real treasure' you'd been hanging on to. So I've picked my one and only snow flake charm, which I've had for years and the pearls.
These pearls are the last strand I have left from my daughter's wedding five years ago, so they are very special as they remind me of a wonderful sunny day, in October 2008.
I've used the Noel Christmas in a Square from our sponsors and because I wanted to keep this the same shade of lilac, I changed the Noel from black to the same shade of lilac as the papers, while I was resizing it on the computer, changing it to a PNG and placing it over the white and lilac paper. (I bet that's as clear as mud!)
There's just enough black around the letters to match the darker thread in the ribbon. I've added one silver corner peel off, to match the silver of the snow flake, plus Crystal glitter and purple gems and not to forget, I've also punched out two large Snow flakes, cut them in half and added them too.
Well, there you go, that's me done for today, hope to see you joining in. I've put this on timer as I'm off walking a dog this afternoon! Grand daughter's here today, might add some photo's later! Thank you for stopping by! Hoping to add some....

Beautiful card. I thought I was the only one that hoarded supplies and couldn't bring myself to use them. But, I'm learning to "let go" because then I have room to buy more LOL. Thank you for joining us this week at Christmas Card Challenges.
