Over on Bugaboo they are having a Holiday Chaos Celebration challenge and it's going on all week. It started Sunday so I'm late as usual. Never mind, better late than never!
Here's my card for the Stella Says Sketch Holiday Chaos Edition using two Bugaboo snowmen and the sketch, only I've used a square card and added extra bits in the corners...
Love these snowmen, they're snow cute! I've done as I always do, (I know, I'm boring) put them over my own snowy back ground to create a 'scene' and then 3D-ed them with loads of layers, and coloured them with ProMarkers. I think I might make a pink snowy background, that would be different!
Here's a tip...when you print out digital paper (although I think I must have scanned this) , make sure there's no 'bits' on the scanner, otherwise it will show up on your paper... of course it will!
The inside paper must have had one of those 3D foam-pad squares on the scanner and you can see it if you look...never mind, no one will notice! (They will now you've added a big arrow!) Must have been printed it out ages ago, as I haven't used 3D foam pads for some time. I'm kinda 'stuck' on using Gel or silicone! Inside I've also pout in a pocket to add some Christmas money...well, the paper was a bit short!! Shhh!
I've added the die-cut corners on the front and also loads of tiny punched out snowflakes too. Might add some stickles later...
The Freebie font I've used on the front of the card (Left the inside blank for now) is called 'Whutevur' and you can download it HERE or go HERE where you can sign up for a free font sent to you! Or Google the name. The inside paper must have had one of those 3D foam-pad squares on the scanner and you can see it if you look...never mind, no one will notice! That's it! Go and join in over on Bugaboo, it looks like fun.
When I get back....coz I'm probably walking dogs as you read this...I hope to add this to a few...

Such a cute card, Lyn! I like how you popped up the snow buddies and love how you used the corner dies. I've used your snowy background before too and plan to use it again - just love the bright sky!
ReplyDeleteIt just makes it nice and quick to get a background done! Glad you like it...might make a pink one!
DeleteThis card (and your words) have given me a SnOw big smile. Love your snowmen popping off your card and the snowy scene is gorgeous. You could have pink sky ....A wonderful sunset reflecting off the snow on a crisp night. The inside of your card is beautiful .....even with that big arrow :-) and what a creative way to deliberately create a money pocket. A great card. Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx ( OSAAT Team )
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a bgood way you use up bits of backing paper that aren't quite the right size... make one of them a pocket!
