Evening Quirky Fans! Hope everyone here in Little Ol' England are enjoying all the red white and blue!! It's Cazzy's turn to choose the theme for this fortnight, which is.....
Up Up and Away
(or The Sky's the Limit)
This means your make must feature something you would see in the sky! And if that's pink pigs with wings, I guess that counts too!! But realistically, balloons, kites, birds, bees, planes, clouds, rain, snow, Sun, moon, rainbow, stars, umbrellas! The list is endless!!
We are sponsored this week by... who have provided the DT with two sets of pdf files, Up Up and Away and Rain Rain go Away and offered a prize of three sets of digi stamps for the winner!
So I've chosen rain, as my thing in the sky. Here's what I made. I've used my latest digi, Henry In The Rain, with his umbrella, along with two sentiments from our sponsors, one on the front of the card and another inside it.
I drew Henry especially for this challenge and then remembered I had Hedgie's Windy Day (with his Kite)... but he's still not in the store yet. (His bottom's a bit wonky!)
The papers are from a 6x6 pack 'Let's Fly Away' a freebie from Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine a few months ago, by Rachel Harper.
I printed Henry out (he has more hair in front than Hedgie does) four times so I could do a bit of 3D-ing. Coloured him using ProMarkers of course, maybe I should've coloured his boots red? Never mind, I'm sure he doesn't mind! Fitted all the bits with Glue Gel~think I'm going back to using silicone, it's a bit too 'soft' for me, and it still goes all wobbly-stiff if you leave the lid off for five minutes!
I worked out how to reside the sentiments (as they come on a sheet) Thank you to Caro and Di for reminding me! (My brain froze!)
Fixed it all together after edging the pearl card with a gold Promarker and inking with Tim Holtz 'Worn Lipstick', then did a bit of mock sticking, added those tiny button brads, the punched out butterflies oh and the ribbon, it was just a tiny scrap that fell from somewhere as if to say, 'please use me!' So I did. It's such a tiny piece there's none behind the image at all! And that's about it! I was going to make the card opening from the bottom, and it wasn't until I'd fixed everything in place that I realised I hadn't! That;s it! Don't forget to come and join us over at Quirky Crafts! Thank you for stopping by!
