I'm quite pleased with how this card turned out, although I didn't have any grey-ish card and had to use pearl blue instead, I don't think it really notices. The card's for Hubby's birthday tomorrow, definitely my Dragon Slayer, if there were any dragons...but he is very good at removing spiders from the bath! He takes them outside with me squirming and yelling "Flush it down the plug hole!!" or "Get the hoover out and hoover it up !!" For those of you not from this country, that translates as, 'vacuum cleaner' and 'vacuum it up'. Although in my case it would be Miele.
There is one thing I just have to say... I don't think even I would ever want to 'Dyson' a spider... not with those clear drums... can you imagine it!?? Big fat hairy spiddy whizzing round and round the wall of death at 90 miles and hour, like a tiny black ball of wool with seven and a half hairy legs spayed out in all directions! And then, when you switch the Dyson off, the hairy beast flops down with the fluff presumed dead but then rises from the dust mountain, still alive...and angry! I shudder just thinking about it! It's enough to give me night mares!!
Back to the card I think... It's a Dustin Pike cartoon, as if you need telling, and I've just realised it might fit into a challenge over on Dustin's Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge Blog where you obviously have to use a Doodle Dragon and this time, 'flowers'. So this card does tick all the boxes.
As always, I've used my ProMakers for the colouring. The wording was done on my laptop. The font is one I've already mentioned, it's called Cool Dots and you can download it for free, HERE. or HERE

Firstly I'm a little puzzled as to the name of your blog seeing as how you're terrified of spiders!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card for you very own spidergetridofer aka dragon slayer ;-)
As for the link a friend emailed it to me quite some time ago and I usually pull up that email and copy and paste, I also have it written down, but have used it so much lately I can remember it without looking; though if I dind't use it for a week or so I'd forget. As I'd tried to save it as a gadget and it didn't work I just wondered how you'd done it. Hmmm I'm intrigued about your truthe but won't give the game away ;-) I'll give you a clue to my truth - holiday, but not the Fidel one hehe. The dead donkey thing was actually something that our tutor had done (when I did a 12 week counselling course).

Hi Lyn, wow you just about gave me a nightmare with the spider in the dyson! BUT I'm confused....YOU are a spider lover so how come you are trying to get your dragon slayer to slay the spider?????? I would have thought you would have rescued it and kept it in a glass jar or something so you could stare at it each day!!! LOL
