You have to join in or just come for a visit today because it's What's on Your WorkDesk Wednesday's birthday, it's first bloggavasary. Julia from Stamping Ground, (now famous World Wide and even on the moon) has been collecting bloggers and inviting them to nose into every body's draws, cupboards and under their stairs, every week for a year! So this week should be a big one, either that, no one will turn up coz they're too afraid to show off their bloggaversary makes! (like me)
I'm not sure I will show it to you, because it's rubbish, completely rubbish, but useful and it does tidy a corner I couldn't really get to.

So avoiding that... what's on my workdesk this week?
Not too much as once again I've been crafting in the living room, because I can't find the remote for my telly and have no idea how to turn the stupid thing on without it! and I wasn't going to miss Smallville last night. (Isn't it about time he put his under pants on over his tights?? Of course those of you in the USA would know more as you're waaaayyy ahead of us here in little ol' Blighty (England) Not that I talk like that! (No body talks like that, not even Dick Van Dyke!)
On my desk are some more doodlings, and the freebie I've just coloured ready to go on the end of this post, because of course this was taken at midnight, (as I'm at work...and this is on timer)
My Promakers are in a different container, as I treated myself to some new ones... no you can't see a video of me buying them, not unless you scroll miles down to another post!
They're coloured coded as in...the greens are in one draw and the reds are in...you get the picture...it's won't last!
The painting of the pony I did when I was about ten. I found it not long ago in the attic, falling to pieces (coz I'm sooo old!) and I wanted to scan it. It's only painted on old brown parcel paper.
I used to paint around a neighbour's house, she had a daughter about two or three years younger than me and when it was time to pack up, the lady would say, 'Use up all your mixed paint and paint a masterpiece!" She kept this for years and one day gave it to me. Which was nice. Not too much as once again I've been crafting in the living room, because I can't find the remote for my telly and have no idea how to turn the stupid thing on without it! and I wasn't going to miss Smallville last night. I'm quite excited too, because I guessed Legend's birthday and have won some Altered Digital Collage Sheets,!! which is fabulous because I've always wanted to have a go at that!
I'm avoiding it...you can tell...Can't actually think of anything else to say, and Frog the Cat wants to go to bed... giving me the evil eye.
Okay...I can't really hide it. It's not finished, actually it's not really started either! I spied a turntable on someone's desk one week (will fill in who a bit later) and thought, now that's a good idea! I had loads of cardboard cups, (and a small turntable) so painted them and then glued them in place and that's as far as I got! It's for all my pencils, paint brushes, gel and glitter pens. I can never reach the ones at the back, but now I don't have to, because it turns! (Okay, you can stop laughing now, and just imagine how it's supposed to look!! )
I will finish it...one day, when they find cheese on the moon... Can't wait to see what everyone else has done. Something spectacular I expect, ribbons and pretty paper and frilly bits!!...I'll probably change the photos and sneak in something fantastic that I've bought and pretend I did it!!
Spuder-what a fabulous idea. Think you should be making a store for the remote now-that's so you can be ready when you find it. I'm the number one when it comes to losing things. Had the lead for joining my camera to my computer IN MY HAND-but after I'd switched on the computer it took me 10 b****y minutes to find it. We bumble along. Hugs BettyXXX
ReplyDeleteOh great, great idea! Enhances you workspace - and so useful! Great WOYWWAC. It's like when you decorate a room though - ou move back in before the teeny detail is finished and it'll never get done!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the light in the lounge like for working so late?
Fab idea, wish I had room to put one!!!
ReplyDeleteI have stamp envy!!!! Happy WOYWW anniversary! x
ReplyDeleteDon't be shy - it's a fabulous project! I think it looks great, and is just the sort of thing I need for my desk, as I currently have pens and pencils all over the place, and I can never, ever, find the one I want!

ReplyDeleteHi Lyn, wow love your image thank you for that, Ive got a turntable on my desk, but I keep all my pens, brushes, ball tools and that sort of thing, though the actual thing was meant for my parchment tools but I find it more useful for my tools.
