Its WOYWW Time! #596

Morning campers, I mean crafters. It's "What's on your Worktop Wednesday!"  And who askes? Julia, from https://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/2020/11/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-596.html

I'm late, can't get any links to work... The little 'cloud' at the top has been crossed out for about an hour. Must've done something wrong as my Post Title goes to Stamping ground....which means I can't put my Spyder's Corner link in over at Julia's because it will just go back to her blog!! Anyway!!  Pop over, and join in and I hope to see you soon!!

Here's my mess...I mean, ingenious crafty space. What's been happening with you?? Me...well, apart from being totally wallied off with this 'new to me old to you style blogger' I've been a bit starcrazy! is that the right word? Never mind, it will do! (no different then) Yesterday, Hubby was happy, he had a pint of beer for two pounds, while I, nipped up to the Crafty Shop and bought me some Tim Holtz inks. I've been watching him, Tim that is, on Youtube, all burnt out candles, cobwebs, purple lights, ghosts and skeletons! (Any one who knows where I can get me some of those Snarky cats in Endland, let me know!!) and well....You have to have the stuff, don't you? Anyway. I haven't done anything with them yet. (the inks that is) Just tipped them all out of my bag  (along with a few other things,  and gave them a hug. (maybe I shouldn't've written that down... I could delete the words, but I always wonder where they go when you do... Are they piled up high in a huge heap somewhere out there between time and space?? All in the dark? I feel so sorry for the i and the j...what happenes if they lose their little dots?

There's the fairy door that needs painting. Bought that from The Works. Next shelf where I keep all my downloaded papers.  I don't usually use the mag papers, they're a bit flimsy, so just save them then I can find what I want and then print them out, as most of them are saved on my laptop.... probably why the poor thing's so exhausted! Above them them are my Paper Cutters (the two at the bottom only work when they want to. Next, my envelope maker. Loved that! But then, after only a few weeks, the little punch thing fell off. I wasn't even punching with it, it just fell off. Hubby has very carefully glued it back on so it still works. Going to save up for a larger one though.

This is where I usually work. I stand to craft. I'm making a little booklet for Niamh... three more pocket pages to add to it. Oh and there's the T.H. inks. Haven't found a home for them yet. On the far left is a little box I made for my embossing folders...Got the knowhow from Sam Calcott on YouTube. I'm addicted now. I've made one of those folder thing booklet things with envelopes and a couple of little notelets, which Niamh swiped last time she was here. "Oh...I like those Nanny!" And...a few cards too. I'll post them another day, seeing it's nearly five in the morning! We were watching the USA voting, as our youngest daughter lives near Seattle, but it was too scarrrry...!

I did start drawing the Wednesday Freebie but it may have to be Thursday now... because, I'm here, indoors, and the printer is out in the shed (John's man Cave) You see, I have to scan the drawing into the computer so I can see it on my computer screen and redo it on my wacom, so I can digi it! (Hope that makes sense) I'm off to bed now. See you all later over on The Stamping Ground for more crafty Goodness! (Wow I did the link!) Bye for now! Stay safe!

  1. The video will only be me showing the pages in my latest workshop with Tracy Evans so no techniques shared or anything as they are hers and not my own. I did do my own pages at the end as I had made too many backgrounds. But it was just stamp, cut and stick.
When I have done these two little books that are waiting to be bound I might just do one where I can show how to do it. Only trouble is it takes time to do one like that and I am so behind with Christmas prep.
I can only think of Art from the Heart as being a good bet on the Snarky Cats as they do carry a lot of Ranger related stuff. Otherwise try Stampers Grove or Country View Crafts or maybe simpler put it in Google and try a few retailers. That is what I usually do.
Thanks for the look around your craft room - boy oh boy do you have some stuff! And now you have more inks - good idea to send him for a pint and you go craft shopping. Now where do I know of a pub and a craft shop close by?
    Hugs, Neet 5 xx

    1. Thank you for the Hearts of Arts. I've added the cat to by wish list, when they comebck in stock (I think Ive done that quite a few times now!) Stampers grove was a bit dearer that the little crafty shop where I went Tuesday...so that's made me happy, I saved a few pounds! Go get me some more! (oops can't...Lockdown) still I have loads to do!

  2. Hi Spyder, wow, lots of goodies to look at! I too never use the free papers in magazines, apart from if I occasionally buy Making Cards magazine, as theirs are matt, and really thick, good quality ones.Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

    1. Yes the papers that come in their own booklet or mag are ok, Tattered lace (down load their papers for free too) and as you say, Making Cards. You stay safe too. I wonder who's going to win the American...well, what ever it is!

  3. I only stand up to cut out, nothing else! Your desk must be very tall to let you do all your crafting. The little fairy door is really lovely, I can just see that all painted up and prettified. It’s the sort of thing my great niece would love too!

  4. Oh my, you do have a huge amount of stuff in your craft cave! I have the exact same fairy door, but not sure what to do with it. It was just one of those things I had to have without any specific vision for it! And that paper in your first photo looks like Basic Grey? They went out of business years ago but I used to love their collections! My old boss used to call us campers LOL. Brought back memories! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #19

  5. LOl! I think I might have posted a comment on a past week somehow! No matter, I am here, and enjoying the look round. I agree, I had to step away from the TV as well. Love the fairy door - super cute, even unpainted!

    Happy WOYWW!

  6. Hi. Saw you question about the Snarky Cats. I got mine from Art From the Heart and although they don't have any in stock at the moment you can add your email to the wish list and then you'll get a message as soon as they come back in which is how I managed to get mine. The link is: https://www.afth.co.uk/tim-holtz---rubber-stamps---cms416---snarky-cat-christmas-35350-p.asp if that helps. Must say I'm loving your busy desks they make me feel right at home. Stay safe and have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x18x

  9. Lots of lovely new goodies to play with Spyder. I got the original Snarky Cat stamps from Craft Obsessions in the UK but not sure if they have the Christmas ones in stock. Country View Crafts is also worth a try (no minimum purchase for free p and p). Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

  10. Loads of spelling mistakes Mrs Y. So you worked out why it would not save this morning/last night? I'm waiting to see what you're going to do with all those new inks.

  14. Hi Lyn,I love your post and the photos. Where do all the deleted letters end up ... maybe we will never know!! Wow, you have lots of crafty goodies - do you know where everything is? My biggest problem is knowing where things are! I label boxes, but still confuse myself. I sometimes think maybe I should get rid of everything and start again lol. I love the fairy door. I don't go into The Works very often, but I will look out for it, next time I go, which who knows when that will be! Thanks for stopping by earlier- the wedding was lovely. Such a relief it went ahead, and so glad it wasn't a November wedding - I feel so sorry for all those who are having to cancel/postpone their weddings again! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #8

  15. Your craft space looks well organised. I Prefer to stand when I am crafting although I can’t stand for long so I am often up and down like a yo yo! Those free magazine pages are rubbish quality aren’t they! They are available to download though, if I see one that’s worth doing something with. I am finding less and less interesting things in the magazines themselves. Have a great week Angela #20

  16. You do look incredibly organised Spyder, but I guess you'd have top be with all that stuff! This new Blogger drives me mad too, although I am finding my around a little better. There are still features which were in the old Blogger that I don't seem to have got my head around as yet!
    Take care and stay safe!

Great crafty spot that's for sure... my utter fav is the fairy door .. not keen on TH catsand birds. Am a traditional stamper. Old fashioned perhaps.. love your ramble re missing dots and tittles floating around bereft!
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.

  18. You've got an amazing room, with lots of gorgeous organising! It looks as if you've got quite a bit of space. The only time I stand to craft is when I'm cutting something because I'm hopeless at cutting against a ruler and it works better if I can stand over it and press everything down better!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  19. How funny. I’m late for a similar reason, I just cant get blogger to co operate! Ah well. Lovely funny post Missus...try craftstash.co.uk, I aw the TH cat stamps there at some point this week, whilst searching for new stuff! I think it’s amazing that you stand to craft, I think I should try it for cutting multiples, and stamping, I always do for die cutting, but everything else is done sitting....something I specialise in doing!!!

  23. Thanks for your visit and your sweet comment, Lyn! So glad you enjoyed my post. No worries about being late - I always spread my comments through the week as I can't manage to do them all on Wednesday. I'm really happy if I have encouraged you to take up cross stitch again! It's so much fun.

  24. Your room reminds me of MY room. I mentioned this on another blog too - while I love seeing how other people organize, I cannot get too swayed by it. Too hard to override the muscle memory that keeps taking me to where stuff was instead of where it IS. Sorry about the Blogger issues - Wordpress changed the default editor not that long ago and now simple posts that once could be done in a clock or two take something like 5 clicks to add a photo. Madness!

Happy WOYWW! Sorry for the late visit - got sidetracked.

  25. Hi :) Thanks for stopping by the blog, OOH I love that you can see all your things and they are in reach from where you are standing. ( I walk around my table too but, its not against a wall so, stuff is piled up on shelves in a closet mostly or the wall behind the table. ~Stacy #30

  26. Love your desk and all your toys! I don't know how you can craft standing up though! I hope I did the right thing chopping all may papers, at least now I might use them, I'll let you know! Yes, the election was and still is scary, with such a baby at the top having his daily temper tantrums while his country is over run with covid-19. Really, I don't know how anyone could have voted for him much less almost half the country! Anyway, enough of that, Thanks for your visit, stay safe! Lindart #31
