Out To Catch A Pike?

It's raining! Pouring down with rain here! Just about to go off to have dinner with Sis-In-law. I forgot all about posting this card, never mind it's here now.
Dustin Pike's digi image, put together with lots of my scraps of PinkPetticoat paper. Even the bit of ribbon was already tied into a bow, discarded from another project and the image hides the fact that the black and white spotty paper doesn't fit across the card. The black patterned paper behind the image was already embossed with hearts and even a tiny bit sticky where it had been used before, and peeled off. I throw nothing away!
The digi was put into Word, so I could add the sentiment underneath it then print it all out together. At this moment I've forgotten what the font is called but the font on the inside is a freebie called Janda Quirkygirl and you can download it HERE, or just Google the name.
I coloured the digi with ProMarkers and 3D-ed the little hedgehog/ porcupine?
I also added little fish bones punched out using a Woodware punch and added loads of Black Diamond Stickles Glitter.
The card is that shape because that too was in my scrap pile as a slice of it had been cut off the side. I just sliced a bit more off the other side. (They don't quite match)
And there you have it! A quick card (hahahaha, and the rest!) for a guy who loves fishing!
I had found a 'recycling challenge somewhere, but as usual I've forgotten where.
New Followers! Hi and a {{big wave}} to Country Lady Designs (no link) and Rach1fun who's really into pens, and scrapbooking!! Love the video~some of those lovely freebies come from sliekje too. Love them!
That's it for now... catch you again soon! Now, where's my umbrella??

This Week's Wednesday's Digi: Clowning Around With Kozo!

Here's this weeks new digi, Kozo the Clown. He'll be in the store next week! Hope you like him, some people don't like clowns, but I was one for a while! Words from two children at different times I will never forget...
"You're not a real clown, you can't be... you've got skin!"
Kozo may lapse into next week's new digi too as I will be away for a few days and I think without Internet!!! (arrggghhh! I will take my laptop just in case!)

I'd love to see anything you make, please leave a comment if you can! And! Yes of course you can sell your made cards using any of my digi's! Phew!! Happy Crafting!!
*Don't forget I'm in England and we sometimes stop to sleep and have tea! You may have to wait a bit!
Just thought I'd show you Sandy's card!!

Wow It's WOYWW time, with a Fizz and Zing!

Morning all you woywwers! It's that silly time of the week again!! Here's my desk this wicked Wednesday... not much going on, my row of scissors, which have been there since day one of WOYWW (even in the other smaller crafty room) This weeks freebie, a cold cup of tea, some scribblings, an old cartoon I found.
**I switched on my lamp with my new daylight bulb (cost an arm and a leg!) to take the picture and ...Pop! Crack fizzzzz, it went out, so that'll be going back to Hobby Craft as soon as poss! So, all pretty boring! BUT!!!! Turn to the other side of my crafty space...dah dah dah da!!!!!! Lookie see what I have!!
A few weeks ago, I had my Venice mask on my desk and ***Shoshi asked me if she could do a Zentangle of it and she did!! She sent me a copy and here it is!! Isn't it fantastic! I love it!! There's sooo much detail. Aren't I a lucky bunny! Thank you soo much Shoshi! Don't worry, it's kept out of my (usually) messy craft room until I can get a frame for it. That's what's on my desk this dreary old Wednesday. What's on yours!? Join up over on Julia's Stamping Ground!
New Followers! Hi and a ((big wave)) to Crafting Pasionz (no link, but I found you..) and Marie from The Joy of Cards with some fabulous makes! Doubt very much if you'll 'see' me next week, but you never know, I might cheat... and put my empty room on timer! Bye for now!

updates...
**New bulb is okay! It was my old lamp that was a bit dodgy! All is mended now, Sorry Hobby Craft!! Bother! Now I have no excuse to go back and do more shopping!!
*** Shoshi has kindly said anyone wishing to download her lovely mask to go HERE Please read her comment above and leave love and comments on her blog!

It's A Quirky Wiper Card!

Evening Everyone!! ((wave)) It's that Quirky time again.... when I sit somewhere else and worry that I didn't set the timer! But luckily it's Diane's turn to set it, over on the Quirky Craft's Challenge Blog and we all know how she loouves to make us use own brains and do something waaaay out of our comfort zone (waaaaaay out of my comfort zone anyway!) We have a fabulous sponsor, with lovely Digi's as prizes!...(drum roll please!)
DDbadge2011
...who's offering the winner, judged by, Mio, (that's me, just is case you thought I'd changed my name) Caro, Diane and Cazzy with....
a $5 voucher to spend in their store!
$5 store gift cert
Isn't that a pretty little banner?!
The Theme, Diane has set is (wait for it) is an easy theme...(but there's more!)
Animal Antics!
Read on, for the cardmakers among you she wants to see your animal antics on a
WIPER CARD!?!
You may of course, if you don't 'do' cards, enter a scrapbook page or 3D project, but we must be able to see the animal antic connection. Okay? Got that? Well, here's a video link on...
Diane's probably put a link on the challenge blog too. (If not I will!) So there's no excuse! It honestly is very easy!
Right! Here's my card! What d'think? It's not bad considering I'm rubbish at measuring! I did cheat a bit, by just cutting an A4 animal print piece of card in half, (had it for years, knew it would come in handy one day!) cutting it to size lengthways then putting in the folds, otherwise I would've had to use two bits of animal print card...and I didn't have two!
So, even though it's a tiny bit smaller, I think it works all right! Quite cute really!
I've used Cupcake Timmy and Tim the Tiger from our sponsors. I've 3D-ed the tiger on the front of the card, (cut off his tail) coloured him with ProMarkers, fixed him on with silicone glue...
I first copied the digi from where I'd saved it and pasted it on to a blank Word page, made it a bit bigger, copied it so I had two the same, added the sentiment under one of them, so it looked as though he was sitting on it.
The font I used is a freebie and after yesterdays card, where I used GoodDog font, I wondered if there was a BadDog font and there was! You can download BadDog HERE. I then added the other little tiger, left one about the same size as it appears on the page and made another one a little bigger (That's now on the back of the card)
I fixed the smaller tiger onto the 'wiper' bit. I'd already added the sentiment around it, but this time put the words 'Have A GRRRR8! Birthday!! into 'WordArt', selected the box with the curved wording and once that was on the page with the tigers, pressed Text Wrapping and then 'Tight'
This lets you pull the words into a circle, so I just curved it around the tiger, till I was happy with it and printed it out.
The pop up was punched out using a large Woodware punch, which is bigger than the inch strip it's glued to, but if you fix it to one side, so that you can't see it once the card is closed, it doesn't seem to matter how big/long the pop up is, just the card holding it has to be the same size as the gap between the folds...and that's as clear as mud to me, and I typed it!! (Watch the video link above...it's easier that it sounds!!)
I am hoping to make another wiper card...I can just see a Halloween Penny Black Cat with a Big BOO! popping up. I'll try if I have time, but am really busy next week! In fact I'm sooo busy I've decided to leave both the freebies (hidden in the two posts below this one) there for a little longer.
Hubby John took a very quick video ( a few seconds! Blink and you'll miss it!) of me playing with my wiper card... don't look at the garden, it's very messy (no change there then!) and needs a dig! That's it for now. See you over at Quirky Craft's, come and join in! Thank you for stopping by!

Quirky Sneak Peek and a Freebie Hunt!

Here's the sneak peek of my Quirky Craft's DT for the challenge that's starting Sunday evening, (later today) It's Diane's turn to set the theme and she usually comes up with some very Quirky ones! Any Ideas? No? Usually no one reads the Sneak Peeks, but it appears my last Quirky Sneak Peek was very popular, the most popular Sneak Peak ever! Why?? Because I'd hidden a freebie somewhere in the post. Lots of you got it, some of you didn't. Hard Cheese! I thought it was very easy! Anyway, I've had sooo many emails to 'do it again' I have... twice... This Post has a freebie hidden somewhere! Not Telling where...l you have to hunt for it. Just wiggle your mouse about! And as I'm not here to take this one off, it is staying there till Monday evening or even longer. In the meantime... What d'you think the challenge will be??? You'll never guest! 'Pop' back and see later. There's even a couple of videos! My hands are in one! (don't worry it's only 30 seconds long...the video that is!) Happy Hunting!!

Happy Birthday from George and Rufus. And Find the Hidden Freebie

Hi peoples! Sorry I haven't done anything new...well I have, sort of. This is a bit different as I'm showing you the same card I made in the post below this one but with the inside finished, so I'm showing you just the inside this time!
I knew I wouldn't have enough time to get it all finished to enter into some of the Challenges I had in mind for the card, but anyway, the inside is now done and I thought I'd show it to you.
Same Dustin Pike digi still available as a freebie HERE, same Lyn's own stripy papers available HERE, and the same Freebie font, GoodDog, which you can download HERE.
It was quite easy to work out the folds, but I recommend having a practice first and then using photo-glue, so if you do get it wrong the pop out bit will pull off easily.
I made the card from the two dogs George and Rufus, who we sometimes dog sit, to their owner/daddy, who's birthday it is today...(Happy Birthday Francis!!) only I thought for some reason it was next week.. (I never remember things!)

Here's the card closed for those who missed it...
I had another reason to do a post today. Sshhh! Don't tell anyone, but I've hidden another freebie somewhere in this post. Same as before, you have to find it, and then you can download it straight away, no waiting for me to email it to you. (Touch wood) Hope you find it useful, it's a little scene and as with all my digi's, no sharing please, especially on forums and shared sites!
Please leave a comment if you can. And just to let those who have asked, the Wednesday Freebie is available via email all week till late 24th April...this hidden freebie will be here until I remember to take it off!
*** Blogger is changing this month. It changed tonight and ARrRRGHHH it was like stepping back in time! I've put it back as it was for now, but when it changes for good, I will have trouble! So if I disappear you'll know I'm having problems understanding what to do!! (Being dyslexic is a pain in my elbow!)
