Morning/ Afternoon! Just got in so time for a cup of tea and a sit while I go and visit Elizabeth and Bleubeard. Last week I think I zonked out when I got home and didn't remember it was Tuesday until about quarter to midnight! Hubby's just come home (up early, home early) so I've just made a cup of Tea, mine's the one with the Teaspoon and the Teddies... in the background you can see my Tattty ol' shed... now windowless, as it has all been practically rebuilt now looking much nicer and painted in the new Sage green, along with the bird Table and the flower Trough! And this morning I was out walking with a new buddy called Tommy! Isn't he cute!! He's a cross between a Poodle and a Bichon Frise... So if you've stopped for tea....or anything else, why not come and join in!

Just To Quirky Well Remind You to...Move it! And A Blue Freebie
Aarrrgghhh! I didn't forget, I just wasn't here! I really do need another 24 hours in each day! The Quirky Reminder about our 'Move it!' is already up over on the Quirky blog now! I did my card in a bit of a rushhhh! I had it in my head and once again, it doesn't look anything like how I imagined it!
Well here's my monstrous card! I used the
same monster/alien as I did last week, but with a different sentiment,
all from our sponsors, The Cutting Cafe, and roughly the same idea, but not quite. This
time when you spin the alien, he gets more cakes! Wouldn't that be
great if it were true! I haven't got a cutting machine or any dies big
enough to cut the circle, so it's a bit wobbly! (But we won't mention
that!)
I had a 'play' in PaintNet this time. First added the blue background, which I just picked from the colour pallet, which I've added to the bottom of this post if you fancy a plain colour. Then played with the circled sentiment , changed it to a PNG and added that over the colour, then did the same to the little monster and added him in the middle and then...added the cakes. Printed it all out twice, stuck one to a card and then cut the other one up The circle topper is fixed to some card, cut out badly by me... fixed to another circle to hide the brad. The cakes are all glued onto circles of acetate and fixed to the hidden circle. If you can understand that then you're cleverer than me! Thank you for stopping by!

Here's the blue I used on the card. Just click and save, it might be useful as 'sky' !

More Cogs and Gears...for 60 years!
I was asked to make a card for a guy who was 60 years old and here it is. Yes I know, I've been playing with my die-cuts and embossing folders again. Men's cards are hard and even harder if you don't know them. I really think you can't go wrong with a few cogs and metal looking rings! I do like these and I think they make something a little different for a man's card.
I've done that, 'cut a bit off the main card and then add a smaller card to the front' thing again. (So that's approx 8x8 by 5x5 cards.)
There's no actually topper on the card at all, just cog and wheels.
I've used some greeny/ browny pearl paper, cut out all the cogs and covered then with a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Inks Vintage Photo and Aged Mahogany, and may have even added any other colour I had too (red, green, blue) with an added dab of gold and bronze inks from one of those multi coloured ink pads, 'Splendor' Then I just 'polished' them up so they looked like metal.
I was given a picture of a toy tractor, a posh sports car, a picture of a group of people the guy knew from where he used to work and the name of where he used to work.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them and then the idea came to put them inside the cogs with acetate, like little tiny picture windows.
I added brown ribbon and tied it as a 'tie' to close the card, through a little D clip fixed on with a brad of the same colour.
There's also acetate added to the wheel on the front of the card, to strengthen it so the card is supported when open.
The Font I've linked before, it's a freebie called CountyHouse, download it HERE.
That's it I think! Thank you for stopping by! I'll be back later to add a few...

It's A Quirky Move
Hi Guys! It's time for a New Quirky Crafts Challenge and this time Cazzy is choosing the theme, and she'd love to see you all...
I Like to... Move it! Move it!....
...and have something on your creation that...well, moves!
Our sponsor this time round is The Cutting Cafe The Design Team and our wonderful Guest Designers have made some fabulous creations so pop over and join in!
Here's my card. As I'm away (it seems like ages)
really busy sitting on two very hairy Airedale's, I made a really 'Quick' (ha ha)
quirky card. (It looked better in my head) but at lease there's bits on
it that 'move!'(or wobble!)
There's probably an easier way, but I did a lot of 'Print Scrn' then putting that into Paint.Net, to rub out the bits I didn't want and then Word so that I could add the circled Sentiment and the little Monster together.
The inside of the circle is a colour from PinkPetticoat, the rest of the colours were done with ProMarkers.
I printed out two of the images, stuck them on to card (a cereal packet) after fixing a long 'legged' brad to the circle underneath, then fixed the other circle over the top with gel glue, so you can't see the brad, added the arrows and made sure it would spin.Once I'd covered the blank card with the the snowflake paper I attached the circles...I thought the snowflakes made better monster stars than star shaped stars! (and I couldn't find where I'd saved the stars!) I added the arrows so they could point at the numbers.
Inside, it was supposed to be a 'box' with the monsters leaping out but they kept peeking out of the top of the card when it was closed so I moved them to where you can see them now. They are all fixed on with folded bits of card so they 'wobble' when the card is opened. And that's it! Thank you for stopping by! I'm not here, this is on timer! Be back later to take out all my mistakes and add...
