Quick! It's What's On Your Worktop Wednesday!? #637

"Hi y-y-y-o-ou gu-y-ys!" sez me, sounding like a gooney. It's Wednesday, so stop what you're doing and hop over on Julia's Stamping Ground and join in.
Here's my workspace.
Looking as unproductive as ever. I'm making another box card, only I'm making it a little bigger this time. Just working out which mermaid to use. One is a freebie from a mag and the other from a crafty charity shop. And no, I haven't finished the smaller one yet...nor the loo rolls, I need stuff for them.

Here's the box card, not finished yet. I'm going to add a few 'floating' things, and bits of seaweed, (not real of course) as well as one of those mermaids.

Last picture was taken by my camera, the others, my phone... I think my camera is running out of steam! Well, that's it for now!
See you all over at Julia's Stamping Ground that's if it lets me in, most of last week it didn't! .... No, still can't connect. BUT!! A BIG thank you to  Zsuzsa  for linking me! Now, that's what I call a back door! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. The box card is wonderful (never heard of anything like that!) and the mermaid stamps are so cute! Thanks so much for your visit, Lyn! I'll try link you up ok? I don't know why you have trouble with that. I know your link from last week didn't work. Could be a privacy issue. I'll let you know if I manage to link you! xx zsuzsa #21

  3. It did not occur to me to link you up earlier - I am so sorry - think my head is in the wrong place this morning.
So is a box card a kind of card but the base is like a box so that you can put things in it - I once did one that was making fans out of card for the four sides and then you could put things in at different levels - is that it?

  4. Part 2 - my computer just stuck and would not move to the end of my previous comment. So I will continue.
I love the look of your mermaid card - I hope we get to see it when the mermaid is in situ. Lovely colour for the surround - so very deep sea like.
    Have a good week.
    Hugs, Neet 11 xx

  10. Wow. You would so laugh about my "workplace". It´s tiny. I have to walk over to our swing where I keep the few art supplies, or the TV-board or the tools board to get what I want. You have it all right there, lucky you.
Love your boxes, what a great idea - Ingo (Hubby) also has a "golden" cam :-)
Do you use the box for stashing things or "just" for presentation?

  12. Loving your box card! I once made one that also has a little crank arrangement so the images inside rolled around a tube and progressed thru a series till the end - then you had to crank it back to begin again. It was super time consuming but I did love it :) Looking forward to your big reveal when it's done!

    Happy WOYWW late again

  15. Thanks for your return visit, Lyn. Sorry to hear you are having problems linking up with WOYWW. I couldn't access Julia's blog a ouple of weeks ago because Norton blocked it as unsafe for some reason, but that problem has now been resolved. I hope whatever is blocking you will soon be sorted out, too.

Nice to hear that you are also using the same sort of organising system for your stamps! I need to get started on mine, now the dies are finished. I also follow Sam Calcott on YouTube - she and Ann Melvin are both excellent, as is Jennifer Macguire, one of my favourites too.

Oh dear, so sorry to hear Mr. Jinx is poorly still. I do hope you get to the bottom of it soon so that you get a lovely healthy and happy kitty back.

    Happy WOYWW for this week,
    Shoshi x #11
