I think it's WOYWW, #607

Morning WOYWWers! Hope you're all well and safe! Okay, it's that day again so pop over to Stamping Ground and join in!   I'm clearing my desktop, I've done an  awful lot this week...just awful... it all ended up in the bin (Please note...the floor is the bin...I've misplaced the real bin...it's most likely buried! Still haven't finished this weeks  freebie and it's half past midnight all ready, so  I'll type quicker!
Pencils are out ready to draw but paper is still blank. Phone is  showing a video of Sam Calcott
making heart boxes for yummy chocolates. THEN THERE'S THE BROkEN CHOCOLATE BISCUiTS (sorry! Blasted laptop still has a mind of its own!) which came from that box I covered the other week, and of course, the hot chocolate; yum!

I not only got my magazine this week, (a bit late)I got two.  This has happened before. Makes me soooo mad! Don't they check their subscribers? (hey look, we have two Lyn Youngs living at the same address, let's send her two mags the same. Why would I want two magazines the same?? They did it when Papercrafts Inspirations suddenly stopped, they sent me Cardmaking and Papercraft, which I was already subscribled to, as well as Simply Cards and Papercraft, then Cardmaking suddenly finished  too...so now they've sent me two Simply Cards. aagggh! I have been trying to ring them, there's a number on the letter I was sent...voice mail.  Well, that's my rant

over. In the next picture is this little earring and bracelet rack. I bought it from a charity shop  for £1.50. On the bottom of the shelf was an old price sticker from when it was new... £14.99 so a great bargain! The hooks where longer and swirled round a lot more, so hubby cut them back a bit.  Then there's a pad of scrummy papers from Tim Holtz, idea-ology. I was planning on finishing the (...hey hang on, what's happened to the font?)  planning on finishing the little note book box and the notelets to go inside it, then thought, (brain working overtime!) the little book could go in there instead.  Just to the side of that is a pile of stuff not yet put away or found a home... At least I did get one other post done this week. A birthday card for brother in law. How I ever used to post every day I'll never know! So, that's me done! Stay safe everyone. It's Wednesday! So have some crafty fun! Thanks for stopping by. Now pop over to Stamping Ground and join in! (Ps, the freebie might be a bit late this week!)

  1. You have the same "bin" as me. I actually tidied mine this morning but I'm sure within a few days the floor is going to be covered with bits again. Sigh.
That shelf is a good bargain. Look forward to seeing what you use it for.
That paper pad looks like it might have some really nice papers in it - again can't wait to see what you create with them.
    Have a good week Lyn.

  2. That's a fabulous little jewellery rack and a great bargain too. I hope you find someone who might appreciate the second magazine, perhaps you have a local FB page for your village - I shift a lot of stuff like that! (and of course it can be delivered to the gate of someone while on our allotted local exercise route!).
I do hope you have a good week and I must apologise for not getting to you last week, I still have a list I was hoping to visit before today came around and then several problems arose and I forgot all about it.
    Keep well and stay safe,

  3. I have been trying to change a magazine subscription that I bought for my mum with no success since she died. It will go on until June...
    Love that TH pad.
    Stay safe and keep well.
    Happy WOYWW! Susan #12

  4. Hi there. I do hope you won't be offended if I tell you your post made me laugh so much! It was simply wonderful!! Your desk picture is just what I like to see - chocolate biscuits and hot chocolate to drink!! YAY. Your comment on the bin is so like my own place often is - this week, however, I am buried deep in electrical leads!! I am determined they will all ultimately disappear down the back of the desk... As for your magazine mess-up - well, it does seem crazy doesn't it. Thank you so much for giving me a lovely few moments on this dismally dark and wet day. The Welsh is "M'aen pystyllio mawr" - which quite graphically describes the fact that it is pouring with rain!!
Take care of yourself. God bless.

  5. You sound a bit hectic LOL - whatever you're on - I want some! How annoying about the double subscription - do they charge you twice as well? I would check that! I love TH paper pads but I have trouble using them - I have trouble using all paper pads to be honest - I just keep them for stroking. Great find in the charity shop - don't you just love a good bargain - I expect you bought that before the lockdown? The only thing I'm missing is my weekly trips into town popping into my favourite shops (the cheapo ones: Home Bargains, The Works, B&M, charity shops, etc) You never know what you'll find there! Don't worry about your freebies or your posts - blogging is supposed to be fun not an obligation - the blog police is not going to come arrest you LOL - relax, breathe... there you go.. Hope you have a great week! xx zsuzsa #18

  8. Good bargain with the jewellery rack! Are you going to use it for that purpose or is it going to be a craft item unit? I think the publishers don’t even notice two names/addresses the same, it’s all done by computer so it’s just whizzed out, perhaps a friend or neighbour would like the duplicate mag?
Hope you’re keeping safe and well,
    Hugs LLJ 16 xxx

  9. I hate that - worse when they send you something like, I don't know, Train Collectors rather than Knitting Today cause it is one of their mags and then they don't have to refund you. Love the shelf - enjoy filling it LOL!

Happy WOYWW, with another late start

  11. Pleased to see you keeping busy. We are so lucky to have such interests and great friends to share it with. The magazine companies are irritating. When they stopped Craft Stamper they started sending me a quilting magazine now how they think the two things are similar I can't imagine. Take care and have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x14x

  12. Too funny with your ranting! We ALL do it from time to time! And does ANYTHING EVER seem right with the mail anymore! Companies used be more personable and appreciated their clients....now it's all about the almighty dollar....so there is MY OWN RANT for the day! At any rate, you can practice your peripheral vision by having one magazine in one hand and one in the other. LOLOL If you get it sorted, let me know! LOL LOVE the Tim Holtz paper!! Happy crafting with that for sure!! I used to post a lot more on my blog as well. I think life gets in the way and time seems to be in short supply these days! LOLOL I think we do good to get one in a week and that's our story!! LOL Take care and stay safe! Felicia #27

  13. Happy WOYWW. I do miss buying craft magazines, but admit I have a lot in a drawer that I have never used the cover gifts, but too good to donate for now. Perhaps later this year I will reduce the pile. Ali x. #26

  14. Looks like blogger was having fun today, it ate my photographs this morning and I can see it’s been playing tricks with your text. So frustrating! Have a great week Angela #6

  16. It’s bad enough getting two emails about stuff, and we both revpceive identical mail shots from one of our suppliers because presumably, when we opened the account the form had to show all partners. It is maddening and wasteful. Try having a little moan about not being able to contact them on their a Facebook page, that often gets a reaction! That TH pad is a bit yummy; is it for scrapbook pages or will it be cut up for useful bits? I had to make a card for a BiL this week too, and he shares his birthday with my hubby, so I really should make another for him, specially as it’s a big huge one!

  17. Great jewelry holder find ~ and I love that paper pack of beautiful colors, you'll have fun with that too. I'm sorry about the magazines, I found a link that might work: https://www.subscription.co.uk/practical/solo/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2Fpractical%2Fsolo%2F%3Fpub%3DPRAC
copy and paste that, or if that doesn't work go to moremags.com and click on "already a subscriber" if that doesn't help, right a letter and mail it to the subscription renewal address. Enjoy the rest of your week! Love, Karen #33

  18. How annoying those magazines can be - I cancelled my subscription to one but had to do it three times before they took notice.
Love that jewellery rack - could just do with that myself. I a sure we could make one from card if we set our minds to it.
Stay Safe & Well, Hugs, Neet 5 xx

  19. My bin is overflowing onto the floor so I can relate! Loving the biscuits - is it bad that they were the first things I noticed on your desk! Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#8)

  21. The crackle doesn’t work out like I had thought it would either, but it does seem to develop over a couple of days. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  22. Best of luck with changing your subscription, mine is Creative Stamping - lots of stamps all filed!!
    Love the jewellery holder.
    Take care, stay safe

  23. Sounds like you're having quite the week! I do have a bin on the floor but I frequently miss it so I keep a small broom and pan handy. I hope you get your subscription fixed! Thanks for popping by and I'm still playing catchup!

  24. Hi Spyder! Quite the find! What will you use it for? I'm sure you will come up with a very creative idea! I don't get any magazines anymore. I used to get Somerset Studio every month, they are so beautiful I can't get rid of them, but they were taking up so much shelf space I had to stop buying them! Besides, their format changed and I didn't like them as much anymore. It's fun to go back and read through the old ones. Hope you get your subscription sorted! Thanks for your visit, have a great week! Lindart #29

  25. Hi, sorry for the late visit. My bin has disappeared too, so I can sympathise with you. This weekend, I am going to blitz it! I like the TH paper ... ooh I might need to shop again ... and what a bargain with the rack! Have a lovely week, Heather xx 28
