It's that time again! Stamping Ground, the first WOYWW #605, of 2021!Here I come! Pop over to Julia's and join in! Of course I forgot the day. It's a bit like Ground Hog Day every day's the same, isn't it? Except Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Milkman comes then! (On Tuesdays it's, Cheese, milk, yogurt, eggs, and Chocolate broken biscuits! and Thursday is bin day) And of course there's Wednesday! But I still thought it was Monday! Top picture, doesn't look too bad. A Thank You card, near enough finished, I need to make it an envelope.
Picture 2. The makings of the Wednesday freebie, (scroll down) plus another card. All the bits are done, just got to fix it all together. The picture below is showing the broken Biscuit Box, from last week, in its place. Most of the 6x6 Christmas papers are in there, so it might get moved to a higher shelf. Then that orange coloured box, (Clarins of Paris) I've had that for years. It has a magnet. It holds some 8x8 and 9x9 papers.
I never had what was inside. Someone else did....and gave me the box. Nice. I never got around to decorating it though and I must've had it??? twenty years? The little silver drawers had chocolates in them... yes, you've guessed, I never saw them either and had to take that one out of the bin! I mean! Who would possibly throw that away?! (My Mum) It hides 6x6 papers that have got a bit lost, sort of seperate sheets and bits. (There's also velum papers in there that match some of the papers, that I haven't got the heart to use) Then above that is another box I covered for my latest 6x6's... and the wooden box on the shelf just to the right, has all my 'old' 6x6's (There's more in a Really Useful box....but they can stay there for now!)And the last pic...as messy as ever! Well, that's what's on my worktop this week! Don't forget to pop over and join in. It's fun! Welcome to 2021! Stay in. Stay Safe and Keep Crafting! Night night, see you in the morning over on Stamping Ground!!👀
Don't you just love a new year? Gotta be better than last year, right? I am a serious empty box hoarder. I just see them and think "Well that is going to be useful....someday"
ReplyDeleteNot SO messy. :)
Happy WOYWW 2021!

I know exactly what you mean about not knowing what day it is. Christmas made it even more difficult for me and now I am hoping to get back into some routine so I know a few days of the week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of lovely boxes you have. Talk of the one with the drawers was strange as it was only last night I was telling my other half about a box my boss used to buy me each year when I was 18-20 or so. It was a box of Terry's Old Gold, like flocked wallpaper covering it and it was tall with little drawers in and each drawer contained chocolates. I DID eat the chocolates though. Probably shared them with mum and dad. He was a lovely boss, that one!
Happy New Year to you, stay safe and well,
Hugs, Neet 17 xx
WOYWW always reminds me of bin day as well - not the other way around! You seem to be so well organised with your paper stash. My desk might be tidy today but I have paper everywhere on the floor and in all sorts of random places! Happy New Year! zsuzsa #26
ReplyDeletewell you've got a few boxes.... I'm forever saving boxes and meaning to do things with them - at least you've got things in yours! Take care. Helen # 2
ReplyDeleteOooh a woman after my own heart. I love 'boxes' .... I keep them, to use as storage, and then have to buy things to store in them lol. But don't they all look pretty! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #14
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you should mention Ground Dog Day as it was on the TV the other day and we did wonder why they thought it was a good idea right now to show it. Glad I'm not the only one that like s collecting boxes. Take care and have a happy woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm laughing out loud at this post ~ you are so like me! I love containers and if I think I can use it, I make it work! I had to zoom in on your pics~ I so think we need to have a craft room exchange where we can go and visit and play in each others craft rooms ~ or it least drool over all the contents in all the drawers :) I just love paper, embellishments and especially ribbon ~ Happy New Year! Love, Karen #32
ReplyDeleteLove your selection of boxes - quite right to rescue the one from the bin. Happy New Year, stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeleteYep! Me too! Love boxes especially “nice” boxes. Mine are mostly hidden from my husband who throws everything away. ‘I wanted that” I say to him - “you have too much rubbish “ is the usual reply, unless I can think Of a reason on the spot, it’s gone! To add to your sizes I also have 4 x 6 paper. I need a craft that will use up all my papers! Preferably one where it doesn’t matter what colour the papers are! Have a great week Angela #13
ReplyDeleteHappy New year, I am wondering if it a crafters thing as I collect boxes and think what can i do with them lol
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe.

You can't beat a good box. Or tin. I tend to use a lot of RUBs and tupperware for mine...
ReplyDeleteLove the cards you've made though, and I now need to go and seek out whatever the Wednesday freebie is.
Happy WOYWW!

I'm loving all your boxes - I seem to collect empty ones too! Sorry I'm late. Wishing you a happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#10)
ReplyDeleteI love boxes - almost as much as the kitties do. Not that I have an overwhelming desire to sit in them like they do, just to collect them! I love your description of your week! My days are all different and always have been. I have a pretty strict routine, because that way it means that everything gets done that has to be done, so the lockdown hasn't made much difference to me in that respect. I suppose I have groundhog weeks rather than days!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your lovely comment! So glad you enjoyed my green eyes! They are back to normal again now lol! The kitty puzzle is tremendous fun, isn't it. It was really hard to do. I do hope your brother-in-law's businesses survive all this... I know the pubs have been very hard hit. They are such a British institution and it's awful to think of them closing. I do wish him well.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Lyn, I had to chuckle, many many years ago before we moved to this house our old house had stacks of empty boxes in the attic for just in case I needed one... and hubs put his foot down, so I really only have a hand ful of them on hand anymore. but, my friend at work is very much a oooH shinny ( over boxes) and does the same thing :) ( I think she actually uses the ones she hauls home though), Thanks for the smiles. ~Stacy #34
ReplyDeleteHI Spyder! Your desk looks nice and creative! I need to make a stash of Thank you cards, because I never have one when I need one! That and Sympathy cards. Nice that you know where all your paper is, mine was all over the place until recently! It's snowing now, but not too much. The cast wont go out in it. They are going to get fat this winter! Thanks for your visit, "see" you on Wednesday! Stay safe, Lindart ##35
ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult to work out what day it is. They are all the same!
ReplyDeleteI love boxes too...and things with little drawers...
Sorry I am so late visiting.
Happy New year and happy WOYWW!
