Reminder, for Quirky Bees Bugs and Birds Challenge!

Hi guys! It's that Quirky Reminder time! All we want to see on your fabulous creations is Bees, Bugs and/or Birds!!! (or all of them!) Go here to join in! or here to see our new creations.
Here's my make, it started life as a tag, or was going to, but I decided to leave it at a large pressy-tag/ small card-tag thingy because you 'mustn't peak' until your birthday!!
The little birdie image is from one of our sponsors Paper Pretties  We're also sponsored by Limited Runs this challenge, which I used last week and  Crafty Ribbons With this little digi I changed it to PNG, put the black line around it to close the gaps where the tree ends and there was a little bit in a wing that needed a bit of extra black but that was easy. I then placed it over some PinkPetticoat Fluffy Clouds digi paper.
The sentiment is also from Paper Pretties so that was easily added over the backing paper too! I've coloured the little shy bird with Promarkers, then added a butterfly sticker and also a lady bird peg (to attach it to the pressy).
Inside I've typed my own sentiment.. .will add what font I used and more links when I get back! (I'm never in!) Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Emma-Marie!

I have a daughter who is thirty blurr-ah-umm-ish something today! Happy Birthday Emma. I had in my head I was going to make a card using my DT digi from Stitchy bear...and this is the digi but not the card, I'
ve made another one. It's one of the star signs and this one is.... Aquarius. So you can see why I was thinking of using this image.
My last card using this digi WON the Stitchy Bear challenge!!!! (Lyn does a little jig ...so glad you can't see!)
The papers I 'think' are PinkPetticoat. I wanted stars, so did a search on my computer and Snow Stars came up, but there's no name on them, but the colour, ocean (see, water again) came up, and that is a PinkPetticoat colour. Not sure what set they're from though, and I've never used them before. The darker stars are from a Pinkpetticoat halloween set.
I've stuck with the silvers, purples and blues again, but this time I've 3D-ed the fairy and instead of colouring her dress and wings, I've just used a Quickie glue pen all over them and then dusted everything in micro glitter and stickles.
The silver die-cut flurry is from a wedding set I bought years ago, I used the Bride and Groom die cuts then so thought I'd use this little flurry here. I've also added a butterfly as I did on the last cards I made.
The sentiments were made by cutting the words from an embossing folder. (made from a glue tube) Added ribbon, a brad, gems and tiny flowers too!
The inside has a pocket especially for  adding 'birthday money'.
The font is a freebie. It's called Kristen ITC but some sites do charge.
That's it I think...no...I bought the white eyelash wool yesterday!... That is it! Thanks for popping by! Catch you later. Hope to add this card to some...

Happy Birthday Aunty Bette!

My Aunty's 80th birthday today! Happy Birthday Aunt Bette! (I've sent a different card) Mum wanted me to make Aunt Bette a card for her to send and here it is! I've used some lovely printed die cuts and paper sets, which came with a craft magazine, this months Cardmaking & PaperCraft  nip over to download their other freebie papers too.(Find them on facebook too) so there wasn't too much to do, just put it all together and of course, think up how too. That took me ages!
I was right out of large cards, so I ordered some 7x7 blank cards from Joanna Sheen (although 8x8 would have been better!) and they arrived very quickly.
First covered the card with matt silver, to go with the silver  around the birds and then the pink dotty and  flower border paper and then chose the the birds die-cut as that matched. Before I fixed that to the card with gel glue, I added a little rectangle of pattern parchment, which I also embossed.
Next went on the pink butterfly with the pink beads....it sort of fell for my towering pile of 'stuff not put away' and went quite well with the birds and the butterflies already there.
I used a corner die-cut in the same matt silver and added the die-cut flowers; then the gems and then thought the green bit along the bottom, used to separate the die-cuts on the sheet, looked good enough to use as a 'ribbon'
The little 3D butterflies were also freebies from a crafting mag.
I added some scalloped circles and the silver 80 peel-off and then hunted out the silver Happy Birthday peel off.
Inside I've also used  a die-cut sentiment Birthday Joy from the set and more of the papers as an insert plus typing out my own using the freebie font Abbeyline(which I've linked before) I've also added another tiny 3D butterfly too. That's it I think, thank you for stopping by! Will later be adding this card to some....

Wanted: Quirky Bugs Birds and Butterflies!!

Well, maybe not all of them at once, but we definitely want to see something buggy, birdy and the odd butterfly too! Yes it's time (I know I'm late...blame blogger, or maybae I didn't press the right button!) once more for another Quirky Crafts Challenge.
This fortnight it's Gemma's turn to set the challenge and choose the theme, it's her first once so please come over and join in!! All Gemma wants to see on your creations is...
The 3 B's BUGS /BUTTERFLIES /AND BIRDS!!
Here's my make...I have (very cleverly for me!) managed to use all three! Ladybird papers for the bugs, which were freebies ages ago from  scrapbook magazine (most likely via Quick Cards or Simply Easy Crafty mags) It's called 'The Spring Fever Collection', I've also added a butterfly sticker (also a freebie from a magazine) and some butterfly ribbon from my local not very crafty craft shop, and underneath it, there's also some sparkly purple ribbon too, plus this lovely little Owl for our sponsors Limited Runs! So  I've covered it all!
This week Quirky Craft's is not only sponsored by Limited Runs but also Crafty Ribbons and  Paper Pretties too! So some lovely prizes up for grabs from our top three  winners!
I've 3D-ed the little owl who's called Owl Bert and coloured him with mainly lilac/lavender/bluebell Promarkers. There's about three layers, (seven all together counting the sentiment) the last being just his eyes, beak and eye brows! I haven't adding any glitter to the card yet... but if I do...the larger picture at the bottom of the page will have it splashed all over it!(I'm too lazy to change all the pictures!)
The flowers were pink and white, which didn't go, so to make them match (before I put them all together) I coloured them with a  BlueBell Promarker, which really is more purple than blue. There's also some mock stitching using a white gell pen.
The font is a freebie. I've used it in bold. It's called CurlyShirley and you can download it HERE (One of the brackets is a nice curly bit!)
New Followers! Hi and a big (((wave))) to Chrissy xx..who is already following from waaaay back, I'm sure...plus Janice with a few links so I'll add Stamping Mad. Victoria, who also has lots of links, here's Heart of a Wizardess  plus Birgitta  and Fit Kitty who's one of my best storkers!  You'll find lovely cards over on KT Designs!
That's it! Sorry I'm a bit late! I'm getting a bit peeved with the font size, no matter what I choose, usually 'normal' size, it always comes out small! and it won't change! (Not unless I go into the HTML, which is a pain and takes ages.) never mind...I'll just eat more chocolate!! Thank you for stopping by! I hope to add this to a few.....

T on Tuesday (With Elizabeth)

I haven't joined in with Elizabeth's T for Tuesday for ages as I'm not in for most days since I started my new venture (or restarted it) Dog walking and pet sitting...by the time I get in, put the kettle on for tea....I'm snoozing before it's boiled! Anyway, this is on timer...if it works I'm here in 'post' but may not be in 'spirt'! First we have a picture of my half empty tea cup...suddenly realising my next dog walk is miles from the nearest loo, I didn't drink any more (well, you have to think of these things!!) no biscuits got eaten....not til I got back.... and then later
....
....we have some pictures of  Jinx who thinks he's human and sits on the stool opposite us when we're having dinner.  John decided to give him a place mat, a knife and fork and his food....  he's not normally allowed to get on the work tops... Jinx that is, not John...this was just for the photo... No tea here, just John's red wine... Happy Late Tuesday!!

Reminding You: Quirky Eyes Wide Open!

Happy Sunday everyone! It's time for a Quirky Crafts Challenge Reminder. The current Challenge, Eyes Wide Open has another week to run, so get over there and join in!
Here's my make. I've used Fairy Fae  from our Sponsors, Stitchy Bear, this time. I haven't coloured her too much, just used  three ProMarkers, Cyan, Gold and Poppy.  I've added Butterflies, gems, pearls, and lots of Stickles Glitter to make her sparkle.
The papers I've used are from a 6x6 pack by Forever Friends, called 'For You.'
The font is called P22 Bramble Wild. Some sites have removed it because of copywrite (maybe they weren't allowed to download it.) Google the name and you may find a free download somewhere.
The little flower Ive added in the corner was on a 'Just For You' tag I was sent years ago (never throw anything away!) so thought I'd recycyle it. The flower goes well with her hair.
That's it I think. As soon as I'm home, I'd like toadd this to a few...

It's Quirky Wide Eyes Open!

Hi Quirky people and A Very Happy New Year to you. It's time for the first Quirky Crafts Challenge  of 2014 and it's Cazzy's turn to set the theme and she has chosen....
Eyes Wide Open!
.....which means  anything you make has to have eyes, very wide bright, wide open EYES!!
Our sponsor this time is Stitchy Bear Stamps and I've used one of their fabulous digi's Delicious Doodles /Stitchy Bear Astrology Aquarius(so this might turn into daughter Emma's birthday card at the end of the month)I've used mostly Blues  to colour her plus silver matt and dark blue card.
The background is one of my own. Acrylic blues and white paints smidged around....when dried I scanned it in and saved it to my comuter. It comes in handy when you need a back ground and don't want to colour it in! I did make the digi PNG first though. All the rest is coloured with ProMarkers. I've added some glitter, which was free from a Crafty Magazine a while ago, called Fairy Sparkle. I ended up dabbing it on with a cocktail stick as I found the bottle was very small and had so little glitter in it, there wasn't enough of it to fill the long pointy lid...and no amount of squeezing could get any of it out! The silver card behind the image has been embossed with butterflies. I've added a blue butterfly, some silver grey eye-lash wool and I've used another embossing folder for the 'happy' and like the image, I've layered it in dark blue card too.
If you're making something crafty, using a Stitchy Bear image why not  pop over and join in not only our Quirky Crafts challenge but One Stitch At A Time Challenge  too!
I think that's it. I'll add a bit more when I get back, so will set Mr Blogger. Hoping to add this  to some..
