It's Quirky Well Pumpkin Time!!

A very Quick post from me as I'm not here! Nip over to Quirky Crafts and find out all about the next Challenge.  It's Doris' turn to set the theme this time and she has chosen... PUMPKINS!!
I'm back...Here's my card using two of our sponsors fabulous digis!!! The pumpkin sentiment circle is still a freebie!! We have three prizes, from Bugaboo and Limited Runs!!
I've done loads of layering and using up my scrap as once again, my stupid printer doesn't like the ink.Well,  I mean, I'd feed it a chicken sandwich if it printed out all the right colours! But  it won't. 'Printer say NO!'
Anyway, back to the card! Pink Petticoat papers...The bats are a  Martha Stewart corner punch, the spiderweb border is MS punch too. The cat and spiders are sequins. There's some twisted purple wire around the purple and orange card. Not sure what it is really. Wanted it to look like a web. It starts off like a spring, and then just pulls out, getting thinner and thinner... I keep promising myself a spider web embossing folder but my the time I remember...they've all been sold out!
The Bugaboo Scare-Crow has been 3D-ed and coloured with Promarkers, then fixed onto a die-cut. The extra pumpkin by his foot a spare left over from the 3D-ing. The star brads were off another card.(I've been very good at recycling and using up my scraps!)
The font I've used on the front is a freebie, it's called Castle Dracustein. Download it HERE
Inside you can just see I've used some Bearly Mine paper, which I've linked before, as well as the inside font, as it was left over from another card I made last year.
New Follower! Hi and a big (((wave)) to Charlotte! Thanks that's it I think! Pop over to Quirky Crafts and join in, we have a few new guess designers (You too can be a guess designer!) and they are all bringing something very Quirky to the challenges!

Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner Sponsors Robyn's Fetish!

Hope you're ready for another Robyn's Fetish Challenge because Dragonsmoore Spyder's Other Corner, is once again sponsoring their latest challenge, and you could win Five Digi's of your choice (no matter of price) from this digi store. The challenge theme is....

Nature!

Here's the card I've made for the challenge. What do you think?! I had a play, first using some fluffy clouds from PinkPetticoat I added two of my digi's. The Little Mushroom Street and then Hedgie with his sunflower
I've 3D-ed Hedgie to make him pop  and have given his flower an extra layer and coloured with Promarkers of course!
I've then added some Snow-Flake corner die cut from Memory Box in green, added punched out flowers with gem centres so it looks more like leaves than snowflakes. Just to prove a Christmas Die, is not just for Christmas!
Every thing's mounted on dark brown card and then a light brown  'wood' embossed card. The bottom section I've rubbed in some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in 'Vintage Photo', added a 'Floral Brad (Wild Blossom) from Dovecraft and some brown raffia.
I printed the sentiment under the digi at the same time as I put the two images together on the computer.
Inside I've used some papers I've had for ages, from an 8x8 paper stack 'Honey and Hugs' by Papermania and I've also added another Hedgie, Hedgie with His Wateringcan  I've used some glitter gel pens on the flower, fork and his watering can to make them sparkle.
The font I used is a freebie. It's called Mandingo and you can download it HERE  or Google the name.  I hope to see you playing along in the Robyn's Fetish Challenge!
Here's a few of their Design Teams creations!!

The Chronicles of Ishmirban: The Fire Stone: Part One: Book One: On Amazon

Hubby's put my story, The Fire Stone: Part One, on list over on Amazon, mainly because he's trying to get me to FINISH Part Two. (hurry up, I can hear him yell!) Anyway, he's changed the cover, again. This is all his idea, no fire or brimstone, no pentagon, (although I did sneak one in on this cover when he wasn't looking) no alien planets and he asked me to ask you, and those of you who already have downloaded it, to put in a review. Good or bad.  I did have 5 stars!! (Yay!!) But that seems to have disappeared now, shame! I know there'll be a few smelling spelling mistakes and quite honestly, if I can't think of a word, I make one up! (and then forget to go in and make it right!)  and he says I do waffle on a bit!  Moi? Never! Well, it is the first book (Part One Part Two) in the series, so I have to get it all in there, right? This is the link ..HERE (I don't think it'll change over the weekend, just that it'll be free!) I've just popped in to have a look and yes, hubby has put in the 'gumph' that Part Two will be on Kindle  in October... (and I'm a Chinese monkey!)

Sorry I've been awol again... I've been walking miles with 'dogs'! (I'll show you some pictures later!)
New Followers! Hi and a big (((wave))) to  Maryann Laursen, (Google+ so I can't find you!) Shuckclod. (Did you know, you're already following! ) and A.J from AJ Creative Energy Thank you for stopping by!!

It's A Small World Quirky Reminder!

I'm a bit late, I forgot to press publish!(But that's because I hadn't quite finished the card!) Never mind, I'm sure no one noticed!
Here's my DT card for this reminder week, for our Quirky Craft's Challenge, which started last weekend, 'It's a Small World.' That means, you still have a week to have a go, so come and join in! Pop over anyway to see what the other members of the team have come up with.
I've used Fantastic Sophia from one of our sponsors, Paper Pretties. We're also sponsored by Samaflora
This card is actually inside out, or outside in... Anyway it started off as a normal card but when I'd finished playing with the topper, it was a little too big and covered all that lovely DoveCraft's paper and the cerise pink ribbon, so I decided to cut half the back off, and fold it round to the front and then fix Sophia slightly to one side
All the cerise (It's magenta!) red you can see is my very first Promarker, yes, my very first one I bought about nine years ago, (!!!!) and it's only just run out! I wish they lasted that long theses days!
Little Sophia has been 3D-ed. I started with all of her at first, then cut off her head, feet, a bit of neck and a loop of ribbon and then ended  up just using her sleeve. I like the way the fan looks like she is holding it away from her face. I've used the gel glue with the syringe  to fix her all together. (The blue tac over the end of the syringe is to help stop it drying out)
I think the punched out sign means 'Happiness' but I might be wrong! I added a circle of black card behind it before I stuck it down, so it would show up. There's no makers name on the punch, but I think it came from Woodware.' I've used the Dovecraft papers to cover the whole card even the back, otherwise the ribbon ends would show.  I've added cerise or magenta pink ribbon, brads, and peel-offs.
The Font I've used is a freebie. It's called Chinaone, and you can download it HERE
I think that's it! Been a very long day, didn't get to bed til 5.30 this morning (then up at 7) and it's now 1.30 Monday morning! (yawn!) have to be up early  to take some lovely dogs for a walk! So I'll leave adding any challenges til later!  Thank you for stopping by!!

I have no idea why I did a monster... he just popped out of the end of my pencil and then was fiddled with on the computer. I've done a quickie digi card with him. He'll be here til Wednesday and then you'll be glad to know he'll most likely disappear! Please leave a comment if you can! Links back here are always welcome.

Morning WOYWWers!!

Morning! Happy WOYWW! First apologies for missing out on some of my commenting last week, but I'll try and do 'double' takes this week! And, I do have a good look round on Google+ blogs ~ still can't comment on them, but I am banging on the door saying, let me in! (well,  swearing at the comment box!...same thing!!) This is my 'tidy' and lower 'desk' this morning..... sorry the picture isn't too sharp....
And... this is my workbench.. .there is a difference, honest!  One has a white top and the other is MDF!
All this was done making ohooooo about 4 or 5 cards and some tokens...
And here's a tip.... I use a syringe for my silicone gel glue.... it NEVER lasts long this way, (no matter what they say on TV) so I've taken to using blu-tac over the little red top to make sure NO air gets in, I find this works a treat... I usually only put in enough to do what I'm making at the time anyway. Once you've used a syringe you won't got back to dobbing it on from the tube!
Happy a What's On You Workdesk Wednesday.. Now go over to the one and only Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!! (phew! breathe Lyn...breathe....)
ps... new freebie is being drawn as I type.... multi tasking genius, that's me!

Time For T with Elizabeth...

Oh dear! I'm late for T with Elizabeth! Well, it's Tipping it down here, so I've been busying myself this afternoon, making Tokens for a charity run by our local Pet Shop to raise money for guide dogs and things like that... I think! I've given them three tickets from Forest Walkies to have a freebie dog walk!
I've just made a cup of Tea...but hubby is taking over the kitchen and making some sTicky Chicken. He Treated himself to some new cookery books. I've had curry everyday for the last Two weeks!! So I'm hoping this is a little kinder and not too spicy or hot!
Up Date...The Spicy Sticky Chicken was lovely! ...More please!

Spyder's Other Corner Sponsors {Pin} Spirations!

Morning bloggers! I, me, myself and Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner are very pleased to be Sponsoring, along with QKR Stampede...
{Pin} Spirations!
This time their theme is Autumn. Pop over to the Challenge Blog and you'll find a lovely autumn picture to give you inspiration, as well as some fabulous creations using my digital images and images from QKR
Here's the card I've made especially for this seasonal challenge. Autumn is certainly on it's way here in Southern England. The sudden chill in the morning, the dewy spider webs and of course my soggy wet trouser bottoms when I'm out walking dogs, is proof of that!
I've used The Happy Heart Tree #4012 which a drew after watching a rather silly pigeon in my garden trying to build a nest in our rose bush! Well, it is almost a tree! I'm happy to say the pigeon moved to next door's very over grown apple tree in the end.
I found some shimery bronzey papers both embossed and made them the main colours, then  picked autumn shades to colour in the tree. There's a little smudge of Stickles glitter on the 'windswept' dust and leaves around the tree. I then layer the topper with a slightly lighter goldy-brown and black and fixed it to the front of the card over some brown sparkly ribbon. I wasn't very happy with the edges of the ribbon, which is why I punched out all those leaves to frame the picture. I used two tiny Woodware punches. I remembered I had a little tree charm and (believe it or not) I found it in about five seconds! Which, seeing the state of my craft room, is a wonder in it's self!
The inside papers I used papers were freebies, 6x6 paper stack, from a magazine. I continued with the some colours to layer around the square inserts. The rubber stamped Autumn image is by Hero Arts and has also been layered in the same way.
The font I used is a freebie. It's called Airplanes In the Night Sky (I've missed out sky in the picture) You can download it HERE or just Google the correct name. Hoping to add a few challenges as soon as I'm back. Not sure when this post goes live, so I've left it to go live about 10ish! Sorry if I'm a bit early! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Maria!

It's my youngest daughter's birthday today, so "Happy Birthday Maria!" sending hugs and other bugs across the pond..
No, I'm not telling you how old she is... At the end of this month it's grandson Mason's 4th birthday... time flies. It doesn't seem that long ago I was blogging from a Seattle Hotel telling you all he was here!
Here's the card I've made for Maria, hope she gets it, they only have a P.O. boxes out there.
I've used a mixture of papers. Forever Friends 'Spring Time' double sided. (lovely!)  DoveCrafts 'Tea House' glittered decoupage paper pack. (very nice) I think I won those or maybe bought them in a sale. The little glittery cakes on the right were actually cut from the packaging, too nice not to use!
The digi was coloured using Promarkers, came in an assortment of cute little freebie images from a  magazine, as were those banner shapes with the cakes on.  I've also used a border punch and a die cuts.
The papers inside the card are by Ann Lang, freebies from 2 Peas in a bucket, some years ago. I've saved them as 'purple dots' but they are definitely pink! They also came with the paper 'ribbons' I've used on the corners. I've added micro glitter t the little cakes and mock stitching using a white gel pen, (I can't sew!)  The sentiment is just a rectangle with tiny punched out flowers fixed to the ends. I need one of those punches that cut out labels, it's on my wish list.
The cup cake ribbons, paw ribbons, flower and brads are from my stash. I've put tiny beads all glued together in the centre of the flower. Actually, I'm not sure I like the flower now... I might take it off.
The Font is a freebie, it's called DaddysGirl. Download it HERE
I've been busy most of the day walking dogs! A new one joined the pack today, she's lovely and called, Jumble...I'll take a picture next time we go out. Hopefully at this rate, I'll get thinner! (but I won't hold my breath!) That's it! Hope Maria had a lovely Birthday, she's probably just getting up! Wish we were there to share her cake!

Oui Oui! It's a Quirky Small World!

The new Quirky Crafts challenge, It's A Quirky Small World sponsored by Paper Pretties and Samiflora (facebook link) has started over on the challenge blog and as well as a Scrap page, I've also made a quick 'Thank You' card with the same French poodle I used in the post below. (Honest, it's the same French Poodle, I scanned in the coloured doggi I mean digi, and gave it a white frame so it looked like a picture and then used the scanned coloured picture on the scrap book page)
She's been 3D-ed (the top dog has no arms or sign) and coloured with mostly lilac Promarkers. All the papers are by PinkPetticoat. I've also added gems, buttons and lots of Stickles Glitter Glue.
The inside of the card at the moment has been left blank.
New Follower (((Hi and a big wave to )))Evelyn! No Link yet.
Aggh! I've just put this into preview and this post and the one below have all been typed in black! Black on black, so it's INVISIBLE!! and for some reason not the font or font size I normally use... bother!!
Don't have time to redo it now, as I have to go into the HML and change all the 'smalls' to 'normal' It won't change when you press for normal. I've just changed the colour for now, the only thing with that is..... I can't see what I'm typing!!  I'm not here again, so later I hope to add this card to some...
