Hope you like this one. My mum was clearing out some of my dad's things and in with some of his arty stuff was a little picture of a Christmas bunny, which he'd tried to draw. Maybe I had some influence after all! He often drew trees but I don't ever remember him drawing bunnies! His drawing wasn't finished so I thought I'd put my own ideas to work and created this little chap. Flowerpot Bunny! He'll be here for a week and then he'll be in the store. ReplyDeleteHi Lyn, I love this cute bunny. I am so glad your Dad inspired you. Isn't it funny how parents won't tell you things. I had no idea till about 4 years ago my Mom could draw and write poetry. My brother and I can draw. He puts me to shame he is so good. Thank you for sharing. I hope you find a few more treasures of your Dad's. Edwina Brown

thank you Lyn,
ReplyDeletemy grandmother started a quilt for my daughter but passed away before she could finish it. my mother was totally blind in one eye and almost completely in the other, but she put that quilt in a large circle hoop so that she could press it to her (good) eye and finish quilting it. Sadly she also passed away before sewing the binding onto the quilt. so yes, me with no sewing ablility at all finished the quilt. my daughter may not have the most beautiful quilt by some standards but she has the most loved one on Earth. I am certain that you father would be very proud that you took his beginnings and gave such a loving life to it. thank you
I tried, everything I pressed wanted me to install software that I wasn't sure about so I left it in the end.
