It's my youngest daughter's 30th birthday today. It doesn't seem that long ago she was hitting me over the head with her potty at five in the morning! Luckily she hadn't done anything in it, she just couldn't get her babygrow off! Wouldn't wear a nightie, loved her babygrows.... with the feet cut out! Happy Birthday Maria! Love you! Big Hugs! Her big sister Emma, (and Tom) are going over to America next week to spend time with her and her husband Jesse and our grandson, Mason, who will be two at the end of the month. Wish we were going, but alas I'm too big to fit into one of their suitcases.
Today my hunt for a Mariposa paper stack came to an end when I found one at the Range, (thanks to Di for putting that thought of HobbyCraft in my head!) and it jumped into my basket without me noticing...(after asking hubby if he minded living on beans on toast for the next month!) So, not only did I use a sheet of that lovely glitter and foil paper for this card, I'm making a start at covering my two boxes with it as well. (Watch this space!)
Our main trip out was really to visit Toys R Us, to buy a pressie for Grandson Mason, so Emma can take it with her next week. Now... Toys R us, Big American company, yes? No! How come we can't buy something here, (On line or in the shop) which allows our daughter to pop into the Toys R Us over there, and pick it up? They don't do that. How come they have INTERNATIONAL GIFT CARDS that when you ask, "If we buy one of those and send it to our daughter in America, will she be able to use it in the Toys R Us store near her?" after a long wait over a garbled intercom, the answer came back.... NO! So, just thought I'd warn anyone who thought they could do that.
So? Moan over...what did I use? The Mariposa stack paper, already mentioned. On the inside I've used some of My Mind's Eye, from a huge stack I brought back from America when Mason was born, the Tim Holtz Bird cage die, some peel-offs and a little eye-lash wool. There is quite a bit of glitter and foil already on the card, but it doesn't really show up here. The font I've used on the inside is a freebie, it's called A Yummy Apology and you can download it here
New Followers! It keeps going up ad down, but as I type it's now 603! My goodness, thank you all for following, it wasn't that long ago, I was doing a little jig when there was three! (and one of them was me!)

Hi Lyn - so glad you found your Mariposa stack. I'd already let you know I'd seen it in Hobbycraft but I bet the Range was way cheaper :) Good stuff!! Di xx

Oh wow, your daughter is going to so love this. Know what you mean about the beans!! Such a shame that all the really gorgeous stash has to cost so very much. Perhaps they could take an old fashioned travel trunk, then you could fit in! Hugs Heidi x
