This brings a whole new meaning to, "Were you born in a barn?" (which my mum often said if I left the door open!) Thought I'd join in with Digital Drawing Challenge over on the Crafter's Digital Art Center. (It's American they spell things wrong!) This month it's Vintage. I never quite know what to draw for vintage so seeing there was already a shed scene entered into the challenge I thought I'd add this one! I drew it many many years ago. Driving down to Cornwall we'd always spy this small two tier store shed with the side all fallen in but with the large painted sign on the door stating, 'Please Close The Door... ' Over the years it crumbled until it was finally pulled down. This will appear in my store next month (or sooner if someone wants it!) but without the large Lyn signature. Cartoons are made so small for newspapers you have to write your name big otherwise it'll never be seen! I'd love to know what you think, maybe not so much black? And maybe a bit more background? New Follower! Hi and a big (((wave)) to Adie who has a link to some lovely pictures in Picasa!! Thanks for dropping by!

Amazing artwork Lyn. Brilliant.xx
ReplyDeleteHi Lyn that is fabulous and how ironic that the door was closed but the side of the shed had fallen down, perhaps the door held it up, who knows. with hugs Shirleyxxx
ReplyDeleteMy Dad always said that when we left the door open. lol
ReplyDeleteFabulous work. Lynne x
YOUr drawing is amazing. I've always known you were good but this is awesome. I love the humor behind the comment. My mom use to say the same thing and I'm guilty of telling my boys and students at school. They look at me as though I'm crazy....haha
ReplyDeleteLyn, you are so talented, that is fantastic! Amusing too.
