Congratulations William and Kate!

Congratulations William and Kate! I guess like millions of other's you've all been watching the Royal Wedding either from the comfort of your armchairs or actually mingling with the masses in London's Hyde Park or along the route from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey or maybe joined in with a street party somewhere.
Everyone wanted to see the 'dress' (fabulous!) or see Wills and Kate leave together as Husband and Wife. Me? I really wanted to see The Cake! I hope their life together is everything they wish for.

**Sorry You missed George**
Well, seeing I'm away dog/house sitting till next week, (but have my laptop with me!) I thought I'd do a dog for this weeks freebie. Luckily the little terrors haven't gone off with my socks or underwear...yet! But they both rather love sniffing hubby's work boots!
Please don't share my digi's send people here to download them!
I'd love you to leave a comment! And I'd also love to see anything you make, using George!
Please scroll down for my most boring WOYWW desk ever...or...don't, coz I'm soooo missing my crafty room!

Wots On Someone Else's Desk Wednesday!?

I hope you're all well and didn't eat too many Easter Eggs! I'm still away dog/house sitting (but also off to my normal Wednesday work later) but thought I'd show you where I was and what I wasn't doing anyway, as I can't make cards or anything because I've only brought a 'few' Promarkers and a couple of punches with me... (carried inside Sue's lovely House Mouse bag, which I won sometime ago) I left my camera at my sister-in-laws so not too sure how this picture will look as I'm using an old camera that was in a posh cracker one Christmas, (and the batteries are flat!) So here's one of the very messy desk..... my laptop with the start of today's freebie on it. The other two screens behind are the computers that are normally here, I've moved their keyboards out of the way, so I can get my old printer in and of course my wacom!!(This is normally an office) So, not much to see this week~back to normal next week I hope! If you fancy showing us What's On Your Workdesk this Wednesday just hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground! and join in!

Right Royal Quirkness

It's that Quirky time again! The Quirky Craft's Challenge has started and this time it's Cazzy's turn to set the challenge, and Cazzy has chosen...
"A Right Royal Affair!"
Seeing it's the royal wedding this coming Friday, Cazzy thought it was a great time to get out your crowns, posh hats, banners and flags and see what you can do with them!
Use the colours red, white and blue on your project and then anything that is inspired by royalty. Think romance, weddings, parties (street party), crowns, ermine, couples, cake, champagne, flags and so on!
I'm away all this week, till the weekend but I did take a 'few' things with me and this is what I came up with, using Bugle Bear from one of our Sponsors.
This week we have two generous sponsors. The first of these is Paper Pretties. The winner of the DT choice will receive this lovely stamp set called Everyday Lilly....
And our second Sponsor is Limited Runs and the public choice winner will receive any 3 digi's of their choice! How cool is that!
As you can see I've drawn my own Castle, (used 5"X5" card) coloured with Promarkers and added four Bugle Bears on folded pieces of card, so they would easily fold down when the easel card is closed, and still fit into the envelope. I've also used a strip of Pink Petticoat fluffy Clouds backing paper on the back fold so it can be seen when the card is closed. (Once opened that disappears to the back of the card)
I've added banners and flowers in red, white and blue and of course when the Queen is home.... up goes the Union Jack!!
I've used an ordinary paper brad at the back of the castle, (and on the castle door) so it would swivel up or down for when the card is closed or open.
Pop over and see what everyone on the DT have done. We have some great makes from our guess designers this time too!!
I'm not here, so I'm hoping Mr Blogger has the right time and will start this off at the right time too. So, that's it from me! I'll be back to fix all my mistakes later...It's all over to you now!!

Bit of A Quirky Sneak Peek

Apologies for no blogging, but we're away dog sitting...yep, it's those lumpy ol' dogs again. You'd think they get fed up with us sitting on them...
Just about finished my Quirky Craft's DT card for tomorrow's Challenge, which has been a little hard seeing I didn't bring anything with me except my laptop and Promarkers! (Oh and the camera)
Okay, I know I shoulda done it before I left, but had to do all my days work in one day because of the holiday weekend but you know how it is, out comes the sun and who wants to be stuck in doors?? It's been great today, hasn't it? All the grockles were out sunning themselves and any bit of water down on The Forest has them swarming round it. Anyway, here's my sneak peek... taken about two seconds ago... not a good picture, (no daylight lamp) but hopefully I'll be able to add a nice bright one tomorrow once the sun's out. Any ideas? I shouldn't think so! (maybe a little one)
New Followers!! Hi and a BIG {{wave}} to Sarah Dunlop! from the The crafty journal pop over and say hi and Laura Daniels, but with no link. (yet!) Thanks for stopping by!

WOYWW It's still tidy!

Mornin' Woywwers! (pictures taken midnight last night) Very short post for me this week, as I'm not here! (well less typing and bigger pictures instead) Have to be doing Friday's work today and tomorrow, as we've off house/dog sitting next week. (so next week might be a different desk)
Hopefully I'll get my DT cards done in time. I've only printed out the digi's and hidden them (But not very well!) I've managed to keep my new crafty space quite tidy-ish this week!
Some lovely Mo images , for a card that's still in my head and my digi's waiting to go in he bin, no good what-so-ever as my new printer does not like Promakers (Cheap ink works best!) It's so much more fun having more space to spread! (and the house is tidier) So?? What's on Your Workdesk this Wednesday??? Pop over to Julia's Stamping ground and join in!
(Is that it?) Yep! ~~~~#faint#~~~~

Card By Emma

Just a quickie. Card made by Emma, my eldest daughter, for me and him indoors' anniversary last week. She said she didn't want it too girlie as it was for dad too, hence the 'manly' colours! Thank you Emma!

What's Cookin'...Good Lookin' ?

I used this cute little image on a card from Mo Manning called 'What's Cooking?' a few weeks ago but, it didn't go as well as I'd hoped. 1, I couldn't find the papers I wanted to use with it. (These ones) 2, the printer ink made a smudgy mark when I coloured in the image and 3, I coloured her arms and neck the same colour as her dress to cover the bleeding ProMarkers. Sorry, that should read, to cover the bleeding and then, made by the ProMarkers! (I wasn't swearing honest!)
My old printer clunks and groans, eats my paper and draws lines that aren't there but the ink never smudged!
I put this card onto FaceBook last week and someone wanted to know where the papers came from. They are freebies from Paper Craft Inspiration Magazine, and yes, I hunted them out and they are still available to download from way back in 2008!
There's four 'short' papers in the set, called *Domestic Goddess (I've used two of them) there's a choice of PDF or jPeg. (*SORRY LINK NOW CLOSED...but other downloads available)The font is also a freebie, I'm sure I haven't linked it before. It's called Cutie Pop and you can download it HERE
The cake (inside) is also a freebie, it comes coloured or black and white from Dustin Pike.
So, I've coloured with Promarkers, Inked the background with Tim Holtz-tumbled glass. I used my Black ProMarker around the edge of the card, as it's pearl and doesn't bleed through to the other side. The black around the image too, is also ProMarker coloured paper, not black card. The arrow and wording inside it was done on the computer in Word. The cooking embellishments are from my stash.
(some I brought back with me from USA)
I coloured two images, cut the best one out, minus her spoon and pan, and the wispy bits of hair and fixed her over the top of the first image using silicon glue, so that she popped out from the page. (I've just made a tiny mistake on one of her pig-tails, but we won't mention that!) Otherwise I'm quite pleased with this one! Oh one more thing, who can guess what that sticky strip is behind the image??? No? It's for carpets or rugs! You stick it under them to stop them from slipping, only it didn't work and got thrown away...well, almost, I nabbed it!! I think it looks a little like kitchen tiles. I was hoping to find a 'recycle' challenge but so far, haven't!

The Bunny and the Hen... ( ATC)

I actually saw a hen chase a bunny today. And did you know? A hen will eat a mouse if they find one! Just a bit of trivia I thought I'd share! But luckily these too are the best of buddies! I imagine the bunny is saying "Is spring here yet?" and the Hen is standing on the bunny's head, so she can 'look see!' You can find this fab freebie over at Bee Crafty
This one's not a card, it's an ATC. In the past I have done quite a few of these. This was made for an 'animal swap' on CMPC forum. Of course I'm also hoping (or should that be hopping?!) to add it to Bee Crafty's Challenge and a few more! The background is of course my own. Coloured with Promakers, and note, no smudging!! as I used my old printer, so there's a tip, don't buy expensive inks for your printers, cheaper ones are so much better for digis!

WOY 'NEW' WW!

Aw, it's What's On Your (NEW) Workdesk Wednesday!! It's been a bit of a rush, a push, a shove, and a squeeeeeze but I'm in my new craft room!! Yayyy!! Here's the old one, with everything waiting to be moved out... Here's hubby John in the room next door after having moved all the bedroom stuff out (don't ask where it is!) he's now laying the new carpet. (a real bargain!)And....here's the new room (Emma's old bedroom) with my crafty 'stuff' moved in! At first glances it looks the same, (different pictures on the wall) as I've laid it out almost the same way as before (otherwise I'll never find anything!) I've re-painted an old bathroom shelf , which my dad made years ago and put some paints and large glitter pots on it.
Filled up this purple shelf unit with very useful boxes (They're soo useful!) and then added...
this old kitchen top as a nice long desk. This has been in this room before. When Emma first moved out to go to Uni, then ended up in the shed (studio) when she came back!
And is now back in here again... all my ribbon jars are along the window seal... might move them as it's quite sunny in the mornings and I wouldn't want them to fade. If you look you can spy the mouse John threw at me last week!! He's not that scary after all!! (The coloured drawing was done by my youngest daughter Maria (now lives in USA) we found it in the attic along with some of her primary school books. I wonder where she got her artistic flair from??)
And here we are back at the door...Door Stop Bunny just had to get into the picture...oh...and so did John! He made the shelving unit slimmer so it would fit behind the door. And then a little to the right again....
and we're back looking at my usual workbench...you'd hardly know I'd moved at all!! If you want to see what's going on in my old craft room, pop over to John's Blog later...he's soo chuffed with his 'new desk'...you'll never guess what he made it out of! So that's what's on my Worktop this week! What's on yours? Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!!!

It's A Bunny Quirky Challenge!

It's Quirky Challenge time again! This time round it's Caro's turn to set the Challenge and she would love to see...
An Easter or Spring Creation, which must include something sparkly (Gems, Glitter etc) and to use Punches!
(at least one!)
(oh...not too much then!)
Yay! It's an easy peasy Challenge, sponsored by 'Digital Delights by loubyloo' (which means prizes!) and they kindly sent some of their digi's and sentiments for us on the DT and the GDT to use. So pop over to Quirky Craft's and see what they've all made!
This is Barnaby Bunny along with a 'Happy Easter' banner.
I haven't really coloured Barnaby, just added a bit of pink (Copic) and a bit of pastel blue, Promaker. I've also, decoupaged him up a bit with silicon glue. First a whole Barnaby, then a Barnaby with no arms (ohoo I'm sooo mean!) and then just his feet.
I've used punches by Woodware: Scalloped Oval, flowers, sitting up bunny and the Easter eggs. The sitting bunny came from Hobby Crafts and the Fern leaves from Martha Stewart. I've added Stickles Glitter over the flowers and the edge of the card.
The Easter papers are called Spring Has Sprung. They are from a small set from CardMaking & Paper Craft Magazine, which you can download for free Here (You may have to 'login', well worth it as you'll find other very useful freebie papers and crafting ideas)
Digital Delight's also has a Freebie for you HERE
Camera batteries failed just as I was going to take the inside, so I'll add that later! Now, I've found a few Easter Challenges, most of them come to an end today so I hoping (or shuld that be 'hopping' I can find a few more!
New Followers, hi and a{{big wave}} to Cleah from Cleah's Designs lovely makes over there, I love the apron fridge magnet! Out the back and in the dark you'll find Gutsport56-sammelsurium another fab blog with some different crafty ideas! and Alyna, but with no link. That's it for now. Thank you for stopping by!

I'm not really an old dragon....

Aggh! (Or should I say Grrrrrr!) we have soo much stuff! Hubby, (John) calls it rubbish, (only of course he says crap) All the stuff we stored in our old caravan, went into the shed (the studio half haha..) when we sold that on ebay a few months ago...yep, someone paid real money for our old caravan (the type you see them blowing up for fun on the telly) But we now need the shed to store all the 'stuff' that is in the spare bedroom~which is going to be my new craft room~(The garage is already filled to the brim) But the shed, which is really two sheds, one half carpeted, wall paper, tv, etc etc and the other, not carpeted or wall papered, just shed-like and cobwebby and filled with 'stuff' we take to car-boot sales and other garden type 'stuff'. Old motors bikes, tables, chairs...cushions...leaky hose pipes, bean poles, and other boxes of 'stuff'.
Well, some of this has been 'got at' by creatures of the night, so this means there's a load of 'stuff' having to go down the tip... Hubby is now in the attic. He says, this is a good time to get into the attic and move some of that 'stuff' to the tip too. Why do we need old dolls prams? (It's a Silvercross dolls pram, that's why!) Old crash helmets? (they can go) 1975 platform boots (Ohoo did I really wear them?) Old coats from whenever? (I'm sure I never wore them!) A yellow and black fluffy Bee custom, complete with antenna, six arms, wings made from coloured tights and loads of glitter, and a sting sticking out of it's bottom? (yes...I did wear that!) and a dragon's head, made of chicken wire, foam, felt, Papier-mâché, with ping-pong balls for eyes.
Now, okay the bee custom is a bit well...tatty and dusty to say the least, and no, I'm not putting it on! I was never good at sewing..and I don't think I need all the extra padding these days! So that can go...but the dragon's head?! I mean, look at him!! Have you ever seen such a sad old dragon!?! Hubby wants to take him down the tip ...I want to keep him. (Remember he's been in the attic since my eldest was at primary school!)
So, I'm putting it to the vote. Dump him or keep him????? It's up to you!!
There's a little voting thingy on the side bar!

WOYWW? Just About Everything!

Okay, so I didn't tidy this week in time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! (I made all this mess just making two cards) but good news, we, that's the royal we, spent most of last night clearing out the spare bedroom, wrapping up the double bed in sheets of plastic, as it won't go through the attic hatch and generally moving one lot of 'stuff' to where another load of 'stuff' had been moved from to make way for the second lot of 'stuff'.
I was doodling on the laptop/wacom, (well, I did say the royal we) when hubby yelled, "Hey there's a mouse under this bed!" "Oh no!" sez me, and runs into see, "Is it dead, it is squished?" wondering why it hadn't stunk the house out, thinking it must have been there since Tom and Emma brought their two cats over to stay for a week, months ago... "No... just a bit hairy..!" and Threw it at me!! (aghh!!) It was a toy mouse... (I'm not saying what I did next)
So, here's my messy place this week... (but not for long!) ...to the left...

to the right... jump and and down and ... (no, I'm not going to start singing Agadoo!... didn't people have big heads back then?! ) Anyway... I'm what is known as a 'push back and squeeze in wherever you can get' crafter. Hopefully, I'll have a bit more room in my 'new' crafty space by the end of the week or not. Son-in-law Tom has already suggested we just knock the two rooms together! Now, there's an idea!
Ready to come and join in?? Just hop over to the Queen of all blog hops, Julia and her Stamping Ground and show us yours! (turn off the Agadoo music now...)

***Just wanted to add, anyone listening to Radio Solent in the New Forest Area today, very proud to mention Sister-in-law, Hubby's Sister Deb, is up for An Award as Best Pub Landlady This is her second Award in as many months, and will be on their news! **

16 differences... (I think!) Answers here (comments are off, the ones you see are the ones I have added later) or by email, dragonsmoore at googlemail dot com. Winner wins a digi from my little digi store. Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner. Answers Next Tuesday! Scroll UP for WOYWW!
