Fire Stone Vid By John!

Okay! Hubby John's been busy making a slide show for my Story, which will be on offer over on Amazon from about the 21st of December for seven days... He has a new 'toy' on his computer and he's been 'playing' Not bad for his 'first attempt' Yep, that's him speaking! Don't laugh! (I'll nudge you if you fall asleep!) All I can say is....it can only get better....

Quirky Reminder to use Your Treasured Stash!

Morning, I mean evening! I'm just typing this in the morning! Here's my make for this weeks Quirky Crafts Reminder, you have a week left to join in. The Challenge is Christmas and to use a special treasure on your card.
When we were deciding this challenge a few months back, it was going to be to use up those special papers and other things you've had for ages and not used because they are just too nice. I'd already decided to use the Pink Petticoat papers (Large Snow Flakes) which I bought at the end/beginning of last year (2011/2012) along with the lilac and silver ribbon.
Then we decided on something more, a 'real treasure' you'd been hanging on to. So I've picked my one and only snow flake charm, which I've had for years and the pearls.
These pearls are the last strand I have left from my daughter's wedding five years ago, so they are very special as they remind me of a wonderful sunny day, in October 2008.
I've used the Noel Christmas in a Square from our sponsors and because I wanted to keep this the same shade of lilac, I changed the Noel from black to the same shade of lilac as the papers, while I was resizing it on the computer, changing it to a PNG and placing it over the white and lilac paper. (I bet that's as clear as mud!)
There's just enough black around the letters to match the darker thread in the ribbon. I've added one silver corner peel off, to match the silver of the snow flake, plus Crystal glitter and purple gems and not to forget, I've also punched out two large Snow flakes, cut them in half and added them too.
Well, there you go, that's me done for today, hope to see you joining in. I've put this on timer as I'm off walking a dog this afternoon! Grand daughter's here today, might add some photo's later! Thank you for stopping by! Hoping to add some....

Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner Sponsors Robyn's Fetish!

This week, Spyder's Other Corner is sponsoring Robyn's Fetish Challenge blog! Where, if you win you can choose five of my digi's from my Store. The challenge is nice and easy all you have to have on your creations is a....
BOW!
Here's what I've made. I've used a digi I've only just added to the store.   Christmas Hedgies. I've 3D-ed them, there's about four layers, coloured  with ProMarkers. I've also used my own freebie Snowy Background paper you can download here.
All the papers and card I've used are from my "don't throw away yet" pot, even the die cut on the side was just moments away from being thrown away! (It's a bit bent, so I cut the bent bit off!)
I've used a Gold Peels Off for the sentiment and also some gold corner peels offs. The ribbon/bow was once on a pressy, too nice to throw away! And just under the box is a gold snowflake with a red gem.
On the inside I've use the same digi again. I'm still having trouble with the ink smudging, as I've had to use real HP inks instead of cheaper ink (which doesn't smudge) but as I've said before, the printer has decided it doesn't 'like' them...and they [the cheap ones] are 'not compatible.'  Couldn't you just take a sledge hammer to it sometimes!!? For years it's been okay and then suddenly, it doesn't like them.
The freebie font I've used on the inside of the card is called Adorable, and you can download it HERE.  The papers on the inside were a freebie pack from a magazine.
So, all you have to do now, is to nip over to Robyn Fetish and join in! Loads already have as I'm very late at posting this. I've been so busy lately I'm meeting myself coming back the other way!  I've now swapped computers but still have to use my old one, as the new one seems to need a Science degree in another language to use it....as it can't find where it's up loaded all my files and documents! (aarrgghhh!)  Bloggers gone barby too. I've had to rewrite this post because of the font and type size. It would only write very  tiny! No amount of me pressing 'normal' would change it! because I'm late, I've posted this on Sunday even though it's not! (I know what I mean!) Thank you for stopping by, now nip over to Robyn's Fetish and join in!  I hope to add this to a few Challenges...

It's A Wrapped Up Bug!

Well, I haven't done very well trying to join in with Bugaboo's challenges all this week, but there's still time! a few hours (it's changed from 1 day to 5 days, ohooo I can make something else!) Here's my second go. The second challenge, which started last Monday, was to show off something 'gift wrapped.'
I decided to make some tree hangings. I wanted something to put those little chocolate coins in. The normal net bags they come in, don't look very nice on the tree and are usually so heavy they tip it over!  (Well, maybe not, but the bough bends down quite a bit!)
The plan was, I'd make loads, (using up all sorts of scraps coz it's quite small) and not just for the tree. I thought they'd also make a nice change from the normal place name cards. The persons name could go just above where the digi is. (everyone gets a different digi) and everyone would get a little surprise,  tiny chocolates, some mints, little toy or anything else you can fit into the little bag, which has been fixed to the inside of the triangle.
My only problem was, how to seal it up so that it didn't fall open once hung on the tree....(which is when I had the idea of using them as  place names instead) then the weight of whatever goes inside, doesn't have to be taken into consideration.
In the end, I've used a brad, I did try Velcro, but the 'sticky side' wasn't sticky enough and came unstuck. So I tried gluing the Velcro...and touch wood....that has worked so far..(I left the brad in, seeing I'd already made the hole!)
I've lost the front of the paper stack I used but I'm guessing it's Dovecroft/ TrimCraft. I've had it years...  and of course the digi image is Bugaboo, coloured with Promarkers. He's called  Christmas Bear/ bear candy cane.  As I haven't got the right pairing up Nestabilities to make it look nice and layered, I've used a Woodware punch and then two of the same size Nesties, then just twisted them slightly to make it look like the red and white candy cane. I've added ribbon and a bow and lastly added some Dovecraft glitter.
Sorry for any smelling mistakes...my spell checker isn't working...I get....please try again later. I mean?? Dah. Has it gone out on a date? It's a spell checker, where could it go?
New Follower! Hi and a big ((wave)) to  Victoria, who has loads of blogs but I've picked this Heart of a wizardess
That's it for now....it's already tomorrow, but I'll add this to yesterday, seeing that's when I started it! Thank you for stopping by!
(Up date.... Spell check is on and letting me know, velcro has a capital V, so I've changed it... smart arse computer)

This Week's Wednesday Digi CLOSED

I seem to be making Christmas Cards with Snowman just lately...(I'm trying to join in with the Bugaboo challenge 'holiday chaos celebration' to make something crafty everyday! Not happening yet... but as least I've managed one card so far!) CLOSED

It's Chaos Over On Bugaboo!

Over on Bugaboo they are having a Holiday Chaos Celebration challenge and it's going on all week. It started Sunday so I'm late as usual. Never mind, better late than never!
Here's my card for the Stella Says Sketch Holiday Chaos Edition using two Bugaboo snowmen and the sketch, only I've used a square card and added extra bits in the corners...
Love these snowmen, they're snow cute! I've done as I always do, (I know, I'm boring) put them over my own snowy back ground to create a 'scene' and then 3D-ed them with loads of layers, and coloured them with ProMarkers. I think I might make a pink snowy background, that would be different!
All the papers I've used are by Pinkpetticoat.
Here's a tip...when you print out  digital paper (although I think I must have scanned this) , make sure there's no 'bits' on the scanner, otherwise it will show up on your paper... of course it will!
The inside paper must have had one of those 3D foam-pad squares on the scanner and you can see it if you look...never mind, no one will notice! (They will now you've added a big arrow!) Must have been printed it out ages ago, as I haven't used 3D foam pads for some time. I'm kinda 'stuck' on using Gel or silicone! Inside I've also pout in a pocket to add some Christmas money...well, the paper was a bit short!!  Shhh!
I've added the die-cut corners on the front and also loads of tiny punched out snowflakes too. Might add some stickles later...
The Freebie font I've used on the front of the card (Left the inside blank for now) is called 'Whutevur' and you can download it HERE or go HERE where you can sign up for a free font sent to you! Or Google the name.
That's it! Go and join in over on Bugaboo, it looks like fun.
When I get back....coz I'm probably walking dogs as you read this...I hope to add this to a few...
