Quirky Peek & A FREEBIE To Seek! CLOSED

Quick Quirky peek of one of my next DT cards, yes, one of them because I have managed to do two... and I'll show you that one, as soon as it's finished!!
So it's a quirky peek Sunday and that means...some where in this post there's a HIDDEN FREEBIE!! Use Your Mouse!!!Now the same applies, no sharing any of my digi's on shared sites, forums or blogs. One of my lovely followers has found a blog with quite a few digi's, Bugaboo, Stampfairy, Cuddly Buddly, Sew Many, Karen's Doodles, Nizzy Art and quite a few others including Sliekje, who does some amazing freebies, why steal them!! This is against copy write. I've left a comment to remove them. If they are not removed, all I can do then is press the blogger button to report abuse of my copy write. It appears blogger will remove the whole blog first and then ask questions later, which is why I haven't already done so. That's the meanie stick waved...now go hunt for the hidden freebie!

The Torch is Here!!

Well, it was here. It's gone now...The video I added turned out to be a bit naff and kept stopping, so I thought I'd add a few pictures of the Olympic Torch as it passed by my way. Here it is at the Lymington Ferry Terminal, waiting to sail over to the Isle of Wight. There isn't actually any pictures of the torch as they'd all boarded the coach for lunch and to get out of the rain.

Bugaboo Gus Fridge Magnet

Makes a change! A fridge magnet! Well, it was going to be a card, but I liked it so much I fancied being able to see it somewhere, and where do I always find myself a trillion times a day?...looking in the fridge for any choccy left overs!

I did have a mind to make a calender (with months and dates, not holes) using Gus and eleven of his friends... but was impatient to finish it, as I couldn't find any next year dates saved on my laptop... loads of 2009 and 2000 but no 2013! Might make one later.
Here's my fridge magnet. It's on my fridge so not a very bright picture. I've used Gus-tidbits-WTF in his garage. Now I've typed that, I have other ideas ~ garage doors...oil cans... nuts and bolts... spanners, with greasy bits too.... a man's card ...I'll make that one later too.
What did I do?? First, printed out the digi, made him the size I wanted him, copied him a few times, coloured him with ProMarkers... except the main image...the one with the green background. I just happened to have a few of Summer Driggs Scrapboook papers in my 'My Craft Studio' programme so picked the green to use as the 'wall' behind Gus. (Used Gus as a PNG) This paper comes from the set called Beautimous Kit and you can download it for free HERE (Stay awhile and leave some love!) I then cut different bits off Gus (he didn't mind!) His arms, his hair, left his ears! Also cut out extra tyres and the bin and 3D-ed them over the main image. I also added extra pages to the calender on Gus's wall, curled and ripped the top one.
On the back of the card I've fixed some magnet strips.

It's Wednesday already! And I'm still in a bit of a pickle.... but look!!! You can see the MDF... a few more pots on the Ikea wall hanging thingy and... that's all...
Honest, it's nice and tidy on the other side too...yes it is... no my nose isn't growing longer...

This side was all clear last week, you could see it was white and everything but somehow it looks like the lodger cat has had a party. (actually he's taken to sleeping in a plastic bag in the garden... I mean...you don't have to be mad to come and lodge at this house, but if you are...)
As my batteries were flat (and seeing it was gone two in the morning, I can't blame them!) I couldn't add this picture of Copper Beech Crafts Anne's WOYWW ATC & card swap with me! Isn't it great! (Sorry for those I have still to send...they are slightly lost in my mess!)

Life's A Beach!

Hi Guys! Been trying to get this card finished for a sketch challenge on FaceBook and also add it to Bugaboo's 'All About Seasons' challenge too! Very sorry to those of you who following by email... I'll have to edit this post quite a bit later!!

I'll be back to tell you where to find the freebie font, add more pictures, show you how I made it, (show you a picture anyway...) and to add more challenges, if they are still going on.

Blogger's being very slow this afternoon, I'll be here 'til next Christmas at this rate and I want to get out into the SUN!!! It's that BIG yellow thing out there in the BLUE sky (It won't last) See you later!

**Part Two!! Evening! As I said above, this card was mainly for Chocolate, Coffee and Cards FaceBook Challenge, to use their sketch and to add red. Weeeellll... I used carmine, which is red but slightly a pinker red, but with another twist, it's all done with a Promarker, as you can see by the picture below. I've not used red or black card at all, just edged it with the Promarker. Even so, there's a lot of layers, mostly put together using silicon glue.
I've also 3D-ed the Bugaboo Monkey, by cutting off one of his arms, his tail and his ears! (I'm soooo mean!) and given him my own sea-side background.
The brad, from my stash, has a sun face... might be the only one we get to see this summer, more rain is promised for the rest of the week!! (I'll be growing webbed feet at this rate!!)
All the backing papers are off-cuts from my Pink Petticoat bits and pieces folder. (Throw Nothing away-give nothing back yo-ho-ho me hearties yo-ho-ho!)
The swirly paper has been embossed with a Cuttlebug Heart folder (To go with the heart on the monkeys bum and the tiny hearts on the lighter paper) I've also used my crab punch and for the first time ever, the tiny little dolphin punch. (I must have had that five years or more!)
Then just to add a bit of interest in the other corners, I've add a few tiny gems, fixed on using my Quickie Glue Pen.
To finish off I did a bit mock stitching. Even the red (carmine) ribbon loops are made of paper and coloured with a Promarker.
The font is a freebie. It's called, very appropriately, Janda Silly Monkey (Y'see I don't just throw these posts together, they are carefully planned... and if you believe that you're a monkey's uncle....) by Kimberly Geswein and yes! there is a monkey!!! I love the monkey! (see the monkey inside the card...don't strain your glass eye, make the picture bigger!) You can download the font HERE (other sites are available!)

WOYWW? Nearly back to Normal....

It's Wednesday! Yoohooo Woywwer's!! and Happy 4th of July to all you over the other side of the pond! (we don't have that) Work bench is back in place, new windows and door's are fabulous!! Lookie see HERE but crafty room is still in a bit of a mess (No change there) Here's some quick pics of what's on my Workdesk this Wednesday...not a lot...

ProMarkers, a couple of doodles... the 'hidden' freebie Whale Island and today's..'Moo' before I'd 'played' with her. A Christmas stamp (bit cheaper) some more stamps I got from a back issue of a mag, (that was cheaper too) Ikea rods and hooks, a dark pink hanging pot, which I bought from Ikea when I should've been looking at window blinds... ended up using the old blinds (just about showing) as they're not even a year old and they fit. (Why change what isn't broken) So the only window with a new blind is the bathroom window! Bathroom window is frosted but... night time, light on...doesn't leave much to the imagination! (scarrrry!!) Yep, me and him kept running outside just to see! Decided not to put blinds up in the other rooms and just let the sun (yellow shining thing that shines brightly in the sky and feels hot!) shine in. So here's my worktop, still a bit naked... Nothing on the windowsill, no little useful boxes back in their place... the DVD is StarTrek...

Won't show you the other side of my crafty room as it's still piled high with the 'stuff' that was on the floor...
And there's Vickie's (Okienurse) lovely ATC, (and card) which arrived yesterday!! I've still to finish off two ATC's... I did them and now, because of the piling up and moving about, I've miss placed them... they're here somewhere, but it'll be quicker to make two more. And talking about ATC's, have you seen Shoshi's? below her woyww post. They are amazing! That's it! Nip over to the Stamping Ground and say hi to Julia and join in!!
