Maria's Poem. 'Fred'

A few of you in the WOYWW post below liked the Bull in Maria's Poem, so I thought you might like to see a close up! Maria tells me, the teacher put a lot of words on the blackboard and they [the children] had to make up a poem using some of  the words.

I would've given it a gold star but then I suppose I'm bias!

WOYWW? And I can see green!(In more ways than one!!)

Morning!! It's Wednesday again!! So, W.O.Y.W.W? On my ~very tidy for me~desk is a poem I found written by one of my daughters when she was at school, about a bull, complete with little drawing of a bull, a couple of last weeks cards, some ATC's, one of which should be going somewhere as soon as I can remember where and bits left over from the card that's sitting on the 'photo box'. That's it! Nice and short! (Where's Lyn and what have you done with her?) Not showing you the other side of the room though! Off to blog hop! UPDATE** and a warning to others  Earlier this morning I tried to comment on a Google + blog and noticed I could via Face Book, the next second I'm being locked out of everything because they say I'm not me and am trying to enter my face book account via another computer in another country/place where I've never accessed it before. This is of course CRAP! I'm sitting at my own computer in my craft room as always!

They are now showing me photo's of 'friends' who I have to identify. They have shown me pictures of Tom, my son in law... and then pictures of blogger friends and family who I never go in and look at so I have no idea who they are!! So therefore they say, I'm not me!! Just to warn others, if they show pictures of people you can't name they won't let you in. If they show pictures of people who are not on Facebook there will be no link to click so they will not let you in.(unless you know whose picture album it comes from)

T is for Thankyou This Tuesday Tea Time!

I was just munching away on my ginger-nuts after just getting back form taking mother to see the doctor, needing refreshment and chocolate, when I remembered it was Tuesday, and time to stop for T and go visit Elizabeth and Bleubeard. So everything stopped while I grabbed the camera and took a picture of my mug, containing a nice frothy Cappuccino with an added dollop of Nutella, the half eaten ginger-nut biscuits and a pic of the Thank you card I received from grand Daughter Niamh (written by her mum of course  because she's only seven months old) thanking us  for the help at Niamh's naming ceremony the other week. I like (weak/milky) coffee in the mornings and tea in the afternoons... lovely! If you're stopping for a cuppa, why 

not call in! Off to er- tidy my craft room now! (you big fibber!)

 

It's a Quirky Picnic this BBQ!

It's time for another Quirky  Crafts Challenge. This time it falls to Doris to fire your imagination! The theme for is fortnight is...

Picnic and/or BBQ 

We're all having picnics and BBQ's at the moment, so this challenge should be an easy one! Doris wants to see such things as a grill, tables for camping, picnic baskets, checked tablecloths, food, lots of ants or even wasps and other things you'll find on a picnic or when having a BBQ!  Just go mad and think, Quirky! This time, instead of stamps we had digi's to use! I made a table and used some green gingham paper to make a tablecloth, and then... well, I let the ants run amok! 

 I've also used some freebie BBQ  papers, which I downloaded years ago from MadaboutCards. That has now disappeared but their sister site Printable Heaven is still going strong and you can find the freebie BBQ food backing papers HERE.

Here's my card. (well, I did my best!) It's an easel card with a table 'attachment!' I've used mostly PinkPetticoat Melon papers. The checked table cloth came from a Forever Friends paper stack and the wood paper from a 6x6 paper pack 'Neighbourwood' (some of the other papers have glitter on them)

All the flowers, ants, baskets, melons and sentiments are from our lovely sponsors. The knives, folks and spoons are Woodware brads and the napkins are just crunched up bits of pink tissue paper.

 It does all fold up to go into its original envelope, although I haven't done it, as I didn't want to run the risk of creasing those melons before the photo was taken!

A Digi Mouse Card

I was doing a bit of blog hopping, probably while doing the rounds on WOYWW and kept getting blocked by Google+ (which won't let me comment unless I join. Hmm... I don't want to!) when, this is the good thing about that, I came across this little freebie digi mouse from

Digi Darlas, especially put on their blog for you to download and join in with a challenge over there. So I thought I would join in.

I've printed him over some flowery paper I had saved on my computer. Added a couple more images of the mouse so I could 3D him. 

I cut off his tail and the flower and added that over the first image, after I coloured him with ProMarkers, then added some stickles glitter (The pot was just about empty so I used a cocktail stick to dig it out! (Don't look too closely... it looks a bit snotty! I'll blame the cat! I was trying to cover up the fact that poor little mouse  was put face down in some gel glue! He didn't like it much!)

 I then added some pearls, which were free from Simply Cards  and Papercraft Magazine. Seeing I had a spare leaf I added that too. I was going to add more of the flower, in different colours, but was glad I didn't.
