WOYWW!?? A BIG Mess!

Morning!! Happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! This is my desk as it looks now after I made one card (seen here and below this post!) Apologies for only getting round about half of you last week, (Or thinking I had when I hadn't!) but I was in a field! And when I came home??? my blog and email had been removed !! According to Google I'd been violated by peoples from Russia and Saudi Arabia! How do I tell them it was just me, on hubby's little laptop, on a dongle (3G wireless Internet connection! You naughty people!!) in a field, in Cornwall!?! I mean... well, it's just too silly! But I guess it could be true. Yeah...and I'm sitting here dressed in pink pyjama's and fluffy rabbit slippers and drinking tea with a very large white Hare...Want to join in the BIGGEST crafty blog hop in the whole world?? (You don't have to be mad, but it helps!) Then hop over to the Stamping Ground and sign in!! Bye for now!!

This Week's Wednesday Digi.

A Cheesy Mouse!

I love this image, first time I've used it! And as I hadn't entered anything in The House Mouse and Friends Challenge for months I was hoping this will fit! Also I'd had an email reminding me about another challenge I hadn't joined in with for ages over at Card Making World (This month it's a sketch) AND! I wanted to remind you about Quirky Crafts Masculine with blue and brown challenge, which started last Sunday. So I'm hoping this little card will do all that, plus a bit more! (Forever Friends has a spring animal challenge, I think!)
I did want to add more things. Flowers, glitter...I'd already added a die cut corner and made the panel with a lacy edge, but seeing I was supposed to be following a sketch, I was very good and stopped! (I did have some flowers ready to go in the other corner though!) Of course I did make one big mistake... I stuck the whole lot on the card the wrong way round... so ended up having to peel off the image and turn the 'sketch' upside down... aw well, no one'll notice!!
I first heat embossed the stamped image. (Jet Black StazOn Ink with clear embossing Power) Forever Friends 'Just For Him' Papers 6x6 paper pack. House Mouse Image: Birthdays Balloon (the other image in the set has the balloons!) Nestabilities Scallop Circle die cut. Woodware and Crafts Too scalloped oval punches and a Martha Stewart Border Punch. The ribbon is from DoCrafts. I've also used TimLink Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Promarkers.
I printed the sentiment in brown. The font is a freebie. It's called Ackident and you can download that HERE I've added the sketch, the right way up!
New Follower! Sandy (a WOYWW fan) and her lovely blog Lonely Cards Pop over and see some of her fabby cards! That's all folks! Better go and draw tomorrows Freebie!! Bye for now.

Aarrggghh!! It's A Prettie Quirky Guy in Brown and Blue!

Happy May the 6th! Two of my ponies were born on May the 6th, many years ago. Bother! I missed May the Force be with you, Day... So it has to be Sunday and that means it must be challenge time again, and that's just what it is, the next theme for the...
set by Caro, is...
Masculine,
something for a guy, man, boy and to use the colours
Brown and Blue!!
See easy!! We're sponsored by Paper Pretties who are offering our winner 6 digi images of their choice!
Here's my card. What y'think? I worked hard on that sentiment!
To start with, I coloured the edge of a pearl card with a brown ProMarker, edged some blue dotty paper with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The 6x6 paper stack came free with Paper Crafts Inspirations Magazine this month. (Link HERE to some more of their freebie papers!)
Edged and inked another bit of pearl card with brown, added the sky paper, (from a freebie paper stack 'Let's Fly Away' from Quick Cards made easy) along with the digi from our sponsors called AAAGGGHHH!! (I might have spelt that wrong!) I did turn him into a clear background PNG, then printed out three digi's (One printed over the sky and the others left normal) so I could do a bit of 3D-ing. He is very thin though, so decided not to add a third layer. Actually, it would've been easy if I'd just added his head and body as the third layer (??? Brain's now thinking have I got time to do that?...No! Oh go on, it'll make him look a bit fatter... oh...okay...next picture has an extra layer, making him have three bodies and three pairs of paws, but no extra arms or legs or tail or ears!! Bet you don't notice!!!)
I coloured him using browns and blues, used silicone glue to fix the bits together, added the ribbons and bronze pearls and a blue and brown buttons. The blue button has Hazard embossed onto it, so I just had to use it, nothing more hazardous than jumping out of an aeroplane!
The little chain dangling swivel thing is from a fishing packet of whatknots. (so much cheaper than crafty whatknots!)
The font is a Freebie, it's called CK Man's Print. I though it was just right, seeing it's a 'man card'. You can download it HERE! or just Google the name, but some sites do charge for it.
That's it! Hop over to Quirky Crafts and join in!!
New Follower! Hi and a big wave to KNBarker out the back and in the dark (no link) Thank you for stopping by!

Quirky Sneak Peek and Another Hidden Freebie

Hi, I'm back. And what a scarrrry shock to find I had no email or Blog on my return! Google thought some one from Russia or Saudi Arabia had hacked into my account, so closed everything down! How do I explain it was only little me, on hubby's 3G dongle, in the middle of a muddy field in Cornwall!? So there's a warning for you. Watch where you use your dongle!
Nuff dongle jokes. Here's a sneak peek of my next DT card for the Quirky Crafts Challenge, which starts tomorrow (Sunday) evening, round about 6-ish. Easy one this time, Caro's set the theme for this fortnight, so no excuse, we what to see hundreds of entries!
Now you're here, I'd love to do a bit of research. Nothing too tricky, just tell us (me) what is your favourite type of challenge? Colour, sketch, Easel card, Use flowers, animals, people, shoes, Recipe, Anything Goes? Use Stamps, Use Digi's? Embossing, distressing, whatever! It would be very interesting to see...
Now, as the title above suggests, there is a freebie digi hidden somewhere in this post. Not going to give you any clues to where or what it is, because as I type, I haven't the foggiest! Happy Hunting!

Where Am I?

As I'm not here, I'm sending you this via Hubby's dongle! (3G wireless Internet connection) I thought I'd show you a picture of where we went yesterday. If you look through the rigging to the harbour wall beyond, maybe you'll reconnized somewhere often seen on telly as a back drop to films. Not too good a picture but I think you can see the scene was obviously set for a new film! Some years ago, one very hot sunny day in August during Cowes week, we had a lovely trip sailing in this tall ship, close to the shores of the Isle of Wight... but that's nowhere near where we are now. (**See comments for answer!)

WOYWW???

Even when I'm not here, I have to show you my crafty desk because I'm sooo addicted to WOYWW! And what is on my workdesk this week??? Has Jinksy, or should that be Jinxy, the visiting cat, left a parcel? (a half chewed mouse?) Or has my sis-in-law Deb, who's calling into check on him a trillion times a day (yes she's calling in to check on a cat that isn't ours, so how I spell his name doesn't really matter because that's not his real name!) been lost or trapped in my craft room unable to get out??? (H-elp!)
This is a picture of my work bench as I left it on Sunday/Monday night/morning. Freebies from a magazine, the last card I made and 'Promarker paper I was going to use, but didn't. I doubt I'll have Internet access where I'm going ((I'm in the middle of a field somewhere~although hubby is taking his dongle) so this probably won't be linked to WOYWW (**WooHOOO! I am linked!! The dongle worked!!!) Zoom over to The Stamping Ground and join in! Thank you for stopping by. See you when/if I get back!
