Blog Award from Nnalorac!

The lovely Nnalorac...(Carolann backwards) over on Something gone missing sent me a lovely Blog Award a few weeks ago, and as usual I forgot, and it's been left in draft, gathering cobwebs! As I already had the Stylish Award I really wanted to grab this one instead and pass it on. Thank you so much for thinking of me Carolann! Now in accepting this Award I am to pass it on to 3-5 blogs that haven't already got a trillion followers and ask them to do the same , with a link back to me and here are my five...I mean six!! Please take the Liebster Blog Award and place it on your sidebar!

Another 'I'm Late!' Quirky Card!

Oh My Goodiness! It'll soon be time for a 500 followers freebie!! (Blogger keeps changing his mind tho, he's not very good at counting) In the meantime, I forgot all about showing you that other DT card I did for lQuirky Crafts last week! Here it is. We're doing Alice In Wonderland and there's still a whole week left to join in. Anything connected to The story would be fabulous! I've used this cute birthday bunny (white Rabbit, un-birthday cake) from our sponsorsThe Stamping Boutique
I've done a bit of 3D-ing, used my nesties to cut out the first bunny with it's background and fixed another bunny over the top. So that's two bunnies, and if you blink there'll probably be another two! (bunnies are like that!) I've coloured him with ProMarkers.
Freebies! The backing paper's I've used are called 'Time For Tea' They were free with Quick Cards Made Easy last year (years back) but you can download them from CardMaking & PaperCraft download page, now called Gather. There's teapots and cake, just right for A Very Merry UnBirthday.
I printed these out on 160gsm white paper, with my printer running out of ink, and they still turned out really nice I think! The flower was printed on thinner paper and crunched up. I did the sentiment on the computer. (You can never have too much cake!) The font is a freebie too. (The ink just about gave out!) I'm sure I've already linked it. It's called Pea Faye. I'm sure you'll find it if you google the name. You'll love it, as the brackets make these funny little bee's and the $ sign is a happy face and I think the + is a heart. (Click the pictures to make them bigger) New Followers! Hi and a (((big wave)))) to Diane Rivers and Ikesart, no links but here's Ikes World Lovely cards, pop over and say hi! I did have some Challenges for this card but seeing it's a week late getting posted, I'll check them out first! Bye For Now!

Critter Challenge - sentiment on the front
Wild Orchid Challenges - anything goes
Digital Tuesday (must use something digi) - celebrations

A Cheesy WOYWW for Ewe

Morning! (((wave)) And just as I said last week, and the week before, it's Wednesday...again!! Hubby wants me to make a digi CD and get my Never Ending Story on line... I've been writing it for a million years. (It's not a Novel, it's a obsession!) I have promised him November, he thought I meant last November.. Huh! How can I, when every day is a Wednesday?? What I need a Freeday. Monday, Tuesday, Freeday ....do you think it will catch on?
I'm not here, this is on timer.... and this is my workbench round about midnight last night/this morning. On there this week is.... a box of cheese....no, John's eaten all that. Aw, it's such a nice box I keep some of my die-cuts in it. The rest are in my new Useful Box... AND my new Tim Holtz bird cage die-cut thingy! I just had to have it! I've actually been working on my dining table again this week and it's far too messy to show you (and John's sitting in there in his 'necessaries' at the moment) so I'll just let you imagine what it looks like, (the table that is, not John) as whatever you image, it will look tidier than it really is! (or even scarier)
So?? Fancy joining in with the BIGGEST Blog Hop anywhere?? Nip over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!! But be warned, it's addictive!!

I know I didn't get round that many of you last week, Frog, my cat wasn't well, and by Thursday we had to take her to the vet. Sadly she is now in Kitty heaven. Her Grandmother was a champion Persian, who 'got out' one day and had Frog's mum by an unknown tom! (scandal!!) Frog had six kitten's in her first year, and would've been 19 years old this September. She was named Frog, after Sally Field, who was nick-named Frog in Smoky and The Bandit. She was often called Porker, but she wasn't fat, she just had short legs! She also liked chasing frogs around the pond. I'll miss my little crafty helper.

Hubby has caught the blogging bug and at last has started his blog!! He's putting all his silly stories in there. Many years ago he used to write these true (sort of) but silly stories for the local free paper. Sometimes I'd do a cartoon to go with it. He's called it The Blog Wot I Wrote, because he's a fan of Morecombe and Wise...(you'll have to read his profile!) Nothing there yet, but watch that space!
Last weeks freebie was by far the favourite one ever, so any idea's for next weeks is always welcome! Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry You Missed this one, there's a new freebie on the newest Wednesday post, join in with Spot The Difference and win a digi.

Alien Spot The Difference Winner and Answers

This was fun and surprisingly, according to stats, had over 1,795 page views. Just imagine if everyone had joined in! I'd be here till next Christmas! There was 16 official differences but if you counted the two difference circles on arm holding the gun, as two and found all the other's as well, you would've counted 17, but if you counted the circles on his arm as one and still got all the others you would've counted 16. The first person to find the tricky one, didn't get one of the easy ones, I did email them to have another go but they didn't...so all those of you who got it right (either counting 16 or 17) were put into a hat...(their names, not them..) and hubby
once more did the honours!

And the Winner Is.....
Just Barbara!!
Well done Barbara. You win any digi from the store! Please email me on dragonsmoore at Googlemail dot com , tell me which one you'd like and I'll email it to you! See ewe tomorrow for another Spot The Difference! and WOYWW!

St David's Day and a Welsh Cawl

It's the 1st of March already! Did you wear a leek or a daffodil today? No? Why the Leek? Well, Welsh troops started wearing leeks so they could easily distinguish each other from the English troops who were dressed in similar clothing. I wonder if our lot wore roses?
Bit nippy this morning when we, me and him-in-doors, went for a walk along the cliff top and then back through the woods this morning. John said he wanted to make something "Welsh" for dinner tonight. We had Welsh Rarebit, or cheese and tomatoes on toast, when we got back at lunchtime, but he wanted to hunt out something really Welsh and found, via Google 'Traditional Welsh Cawl' (Stew to me and you) So off he went, found the only two (very sad looking) daffs we had in the garden- all the ingredients he needed in the kitchen and made Cawl.
This dish was originally a poor person's feast, made of left over bits of vegetable and scraps of meat, which would be put into a pot and brewed (cooked for ages) Coalminers would take a flask of this down into the dark mines, as it's full of goodness and keeps you feeling full all day long...(I think if I tried to swim now, I'd sink) Here's the recipe John gave me....
Cynhwysion
700g o gig oen wedi ei giwbio'n fân
700g o datws ei giwbio'n fân
225g pannas, wedi torri'n fân
225g moron, wedi torri'n fân
225g rwdins wedi torri'n fân..
Stop! Cut! Rewind! o...k...sez me slowly, for this recipe in English go Here John swapped the turnip for a parsnip, it was very tasty, although Chocolate Roulade (definitely not Welsh!) and chocolate ice cream for afters was even tastier!
I wonder what he'll come up with for St. Patrick's Day!?! Happy St. David's Day. Diolch yn fawr iawn for stopping by!

More Mason....Snowed-in in Seattle...

I say Seattle but it's a good hour's drive from there, and nobody (unless you live there) knows where Skykomish is.. Latest picture nabbed from Face Book of Mason up to his knees in snow... I think he's looking more like his mum.
