Happy very late WOYWW!? Maisie in the Maze, (Rapeseed)#730

 Well, I was soooo late even writing a post, and after my adventures yesterday, (Tuesday) I'm soooo flipping tired- I've been wandering round like a zoombie all day. I really didn't think I'd get to finishing a WOYWW post at all ((seeing I still can't link in or get into Stamping Ground at all -unless I turn my wifi off my phone)) so I took a picture anyway... and as you can see...nothing going on there. Aw...I do like my box though, covered in a world map tissue paper from W.H. Smith. There's also wrapping paper to match too.

Anyway, after getting a call from Maisie's owner Tuesday morning (that's Maisie above) that she'd run off the day before and hadn't come back when the other two dogs had! Odd I thought. 'oh and she's wearing the long training lead!'😗"Oh!" sez me, I'm on my way!" It was obvious she was stuck somewhere! Hours of trying to walk through grass up to my waist and  acres of rapeseed feet taller than me and climbing in and out of a ditch that was waaaaay deeper than I thought! Agh!!  and calling at the top of my voice  MAAAAAZZZZIE!!!! COMEON!!! Not a sound. In the end when I got back to the house, I reached for my phone and placed a feed on the local 'Rumour Has it....group. Prof said, 'she wouldn't like that...(his Mrs)'Too late,' sez me 'it's done,' . And minutes later there were people answering my feed and I explaned where she probably was... and a lovely lady answered, "My Hubby has a drone...I'll send him down as soon as he's home from work..." Ryan and daughter Ivy arrived shortly after and hovered his drone over the fields.  I yelled my head off, it was so loud that there was even an echo and!!? A BARK!! ...Well to cut a long story short.. and after recharging the drone it later took off over the second field of thick growing rapeseed. The one I virtually got trapped in and had to climb into a ditch to get out just hours before (I'm too old for this!)  And with drone hovering high above, skilled Ryan spyed a cluster of rapeseed and zoomed in to see Maisie  stuck in the middle!

Without the help of  Ryan and his drone, (Ryan Mullen) we would've never found Maisie, The rapeseed was well over our heads. You can see tracks...but you still had to fight your way through. With little Ivy,(Ryan's daughter) on his shoulders, she was the first to see Maisie!  How brilliant are people, coming to help at the drop of a hat! (or in this case, drone!)  Just to add another note here. People are saying that Rapeseed is toxic to dogs...well, if they eat it they might get a bit sick, but no, it is not harmful to dogs.(see link)

Hoppy (very) Belated Birthday, Tom.

 

Actually, I've missed out posting loads of birthday cards this year...by the time I catch up and blog about them, their owners will all be a year older!  Still, never mind, got to start somewhere, soooo, this is a very quick card for sil Tom. It's a tri-fold card that, if you stick the middle bit into a pocket, it makes a secret place to add birthday money or a money card. 

I have made this type before, and the fact, that very card (using one of Dustin Pikes freebies from waaaaay back) fell out of a box where I've been crafting lately (in the kitchen) made me have another go at it. Well, why not! I even found the same cake, although I had to colour it this time and I used a Penny Black frog, instead of a dragon, There's a splash of  Glossy Accents under his feet to make it look like he's jumping in a puddle.

 

 

I also made an envelope for it using my We R Memory punch board. That's it for now. Sorry there's been no freebies, but I am in the middle of drawing some Toad Stools... More coming up on...Harry Potter...and Maisie lost in the Maze/rapeseed field for thirty six hours! Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW!? #729 Happy Post-ATC's!

 Lovely ATC's from Crfters so far!

   OK! It's 'more ATC time' and a look at my Happy Mail from the last few days, from WOYWW crafters celebrating WOYWW 14th Anniversary, which was, of course last week. (Helen, BJ, Julia plus the badge, Caro,Tracy, Mary Anne) Thank You! And....I am still locked out of Stamping Ground so can't link here, or over there either. (@?£&*@!!) I'm hoping someone can link me if they see this post.

Thank you to Julia for linking me last week. Still having problems adding pictures... so I'm saving them to the laptop and then using copy and paste to get them in here, such fun! Not. Sorry for any smelling mistakes. Being dyslexic I use my phone to help me to spell and yes...that's another thing that no longer works! 

2nd addition being made

 I ran out of the 'crafters cats', (and the world) so have made some more. They are a little bit different from the first ones, as I forgot how I made them...(small brain...sometimes called Brian...) There's still some left if anyone wants one...and if you still haven't got yours, please let me know! I used Tim Holtz Snarky Cats as Crafter's cats... at one point the

 They ended up looking like this...

 

'world' was just a circle cut from a map and I tried to make the thingy to put it on, then, as if by magic Brian (AKA Brain) remembered I had a die-cut and  stamp set from Hobby Craft (which was in a sale for about 30p!) then used a watery paper from The Works to make it look like 'sea' and it turned out looking so much better. It's nearly 3 in the morning, so I'd better get going! Tomorrow, (today) someone's coming to sort John's motorbikes out, ready to take to the MOT centre for me. (One of them is vintage so doesn't need either, but the DVLA still keep sending me threatening letters!!!) On Friday we, me Daughter and grandkiddies are off to  Harry Potter! Did it a decade ago, so time to do it again!
