It's Another WOYWW: Week 622

It's nearly here... The BIG WOYWW Day. If you want to find out more, nip over to Julia's Stamping Ground! Now then, did I get around to all of you, I'm not sure, weird things were happening. I think I saw  names pop up in my email and a couple then disappeared with a warning pop up! (dam new laptop is too clever for it's own good!) I showed it up yesterday, as I had to get my old steam driven computer out, which found what I wanted in a little under an hour, which, I know is slow, but at least it found it. The new one didn't have a clue. So? Here's my mess, I mean, desk. I'm slowly putting some of my smaller stamps/dies sets into A5 pockets, then there's this weeks freebie... (scroll down) Above  is some dies that neither my Big Shot or Big Shotplus can cut...they just squash them!

Some magazines... (I'm NOT Spending in May! But Magazines and stuff from The Works, doesn't count!) Then there's some Promakers. I'm adding thin nibs to my Promakers. I have a big box of nibs. I was wondering if they still sell them, and some one came straight back and said if I paid the postage, they'd send them on. So, all my doubled up colours are having a face lift.  Sorry about the loo rolls, I'm supposed to be turning them into leather, but haven't done it yet. Julia said last week that maybe I have a bit too much stuff...Ah! but maybe the room's too small! Helen said she had more! I think we should meet at the OK Corral and shoot it out with our glue guns and double sided sticky tape!

Can't remember what I needed that old tea towel for... I found it in the fridge the other day...

The boxes on the top left hold mostly punches. Below is paper, and loads of stuff that come free with magazines. No, I'm not showing you the floor, as I am in the middle of tidying up... hubby is now sniggering. Go to bed!! It's not too late, only nearly 2 in the morning. I'll be up at 7ish... The Cat usually sits on my head! That's it for now. Have a Happy WOYWW Week.  Stay Safe! Thank you for stopping by.

    1. Its my youngest daughter's (who now lives 55 minutes drive from Seattle USA,) bedroom. I did start out in the shed that Hubby has now claimed as his man cave, then I had the bigger bed room, and then I was back in here and then.... it was all boxed up and put in the attic once I started dog walking...and now its back in here. I have pictures of hubby putting up wall paper, I might post about it some time! The bigger bedroom is now a proper bedroom so the grandkiddies can sleep in there as they didn't like the bunkbeds we had in this room. (Mind you the dogs loved it!!

  4. Oooh no, I didn’t mean you have too much, just that you may well be the one with the most....although I do take your point about room size!!! Made me laugh that you can’t show us the floor and you had to shoo the hubby up to bed, mine is wryly ‘helpful’ over such things too!
You’ve had a productive week, the unicorn slider is sweet.

  5. Oh Lyn, I love the idea of a shoot out with glue guns. Can I watch? If you saw my sticky tape dispenser the other week, you know it would be like a cartoon gun that just flops. Lost before I started!
Thea is stretched out down my thigh as I write this. I’m glad she does no head sitting!
    Take care and happy WOYWW

  7. If you put everything away inspiration dissappears too. That's my reason for having a clutter, with lots of goodies on show. Why spend too much time clearing up when you could be creating. Elaine

  8. You do have too much stuff, no doubt about it - I think we all do! My husband sometimes comes into my craft room and exclaims "so much stuff" - you should see his garage though! Of course, he thinks what he does is more useful. Yeah, but mine is prettier! A tea towel in the fridge - seriously? How did it get there? Thanks for your visit Lyn and happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #20

    1. I didn't remember why the tea-towel got in the fridge, but it was there, I remembered after seeing someones art journal splattered with brown ink, I'd wiped up some hot chocolate/coffee spills because it was too hot, I imagine I may have gone to remake my drink and instead of putting the milk in the fridge, added the tea-towel instead!

  9. Still chuckling at your "Highland Twoddle" comment. ha ha. I knew what you meant!. Yes you have a lot of stuff - so do I and my room is big so it just gets spread everywhere and I am sure it multiplies overnight. xx Jo

  10. Oh my word, Lyn - you have had me in stitches this morning reading your post! Thank you SO much! Just loved the fact that you found the teatowel in the fridge! Don't we all have too much stuff?? I was thinking only this morning that if I had to move to a small apartment or tiny house, I would simply sleep in the smallest bedroom and fill the rest of everywhere with all my craft stash... Dining table, settee, big bed... all would go in favour of the stash!
    Take care. God bless.

    1. Yes that is what scares me! If we moved house..or worse, I passed away, I'd have to come back and haunt hubby in case he sold all my crafty stuff for half the price I bought it for because I often say, I got this for half price or I got this free with an order! And he does tell me often, to stop calling the bungalow my carft room! Actually, if we could build up in the attic that would be perfect!!

  11. I’m really chuckling now. You certainly don’t have too much stash but if you need to keep some in the fridge then maybe you need to build an extension to your room 😀

  12. I hate having to start with a new computer as it takes me ages to get used to it. My friendly computer pro came and added something to our old one to give me more storage space so at least things haven't altered thank goodness. Too much stuff...Humbug! you can never have too much Lol! The toilet rolls are my favourite for making pocket journals, love them. Happy creative woyww, Angela x19x

  13. Loving your space as usual. I had never heard of being able to change promarker tips... how brilliant and useful is that. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#9)

  14. Love how crafting turns everyone into hoarders. We all have too much stuff ~(well most of us, especially those who have been crafting a while). My downsizing is not going too well, it usually only involves paper and the such like.
Now what is wrong with those dies?
    Hugs, Neet 7 xx

  15. Your posts always make me smile - you have such a way with words. I often find things in weird places too! My worst habit is taking something out of the fridge and the Hubster calling out 10 minutes later "Did you mean for the yogurt to be sitting on the dryer for some reason?" DOH! I agree - you def. need a She Shed or an extension!
Late start - best laid plans and all that…

  16. Wow, that is one organised work area - you are using every inch to it's fullest capacity by the look of it. I'm with you on the 'room is too small' rather than I have too much stuff - mind you my walls are only 4foot tall, then they turn into sloping ceilings, which isn't good for a crafter who is easily enabled!
Hope you have a great week,
    Diana xx #24

  17. You have an awesome room, Lyn, and I love seeing all your stuff! My room is a total tip now and almost beyond redemption... while my papercrafting mojo is on his major walkabout there's not too much hope of my getting things straight in there, but I do need to discipline myself soon or my poor hubby won't get a birthday card this year.

    Happy WOYWW,

    1. I know why mine gets so messy apart from being too small that I can't put anything I get down anywhere, and because, putting it away again, is soooo hard! As some of the things have not got their own place to go, so I usually go tidy something else instead!

  18. Think all us crafters are hoarders Good job I have two spare rooms to hoard in. Often wonder what my daughter will do with it all, when my time comes!!! Ani #26

  20. Ha ha I like your style and I agree - magazines and stuff from The Works doesn't count. I am doing pretty well with not buying at the mo although I did buy some peg stamps yesterday. Secondhand and for charity so I feel vindicated. Didn't need them, just liked them. and so it goes on. I think you are right, it is nothing to do with the size of the stash, it is all about the size of the room. You have reminded me I need to finish sorting my sentiment stamps - I decided to put as many as made sense (I don't like splitting up fancy stamp sets but the mags esp are fair game) into categories to save having look through every pack to find something but the task is looking a bit overwhelming at the mo and remains half done. Oh well, there's always tomorrow....Have a good week, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindyxx #14

  21. Lynn make sure you keep your original lids for the Promarkers that you add the thin nibs to as you may decide to take them off.

I found after a while the thin nib was pressing on the original tip of the pen and acted like a funnel leaching the in out of the pen. This then either ruined the original tip and/or the ink ran out really fast and was leaking all over the place when you went to use them. Many a time I took the lid off and it was filled with ink inside (and they were always stored on their side). In hindsight I think it would have been better to only add the thin nib on when I was using it and not keep them on all the time. maybe that is a reason why they they stopped doing them or Winsor & newton decided not to carry on making them when Letraset sold the brand to them?

The only ones I have ever had to replace were those and the Flexmarkers.

  22. Looking at you desk I bet you have things there that you have forgotten about. Its like there was a saying on FB," I told my husband I could get everything in a box, Husband said stop calling the house a box lol "

  24. One thing about tidying, you will spend more time looking for "That THING" when you need it. It is a fun pastime sorting.....like shopping in your own space. ENJOY

  26. LOL! Glad it's not just me that finds random tea towels in the fridge! I've got a couple of those thin nibs but one of them doesn't seem to want to let the ink through - any ideas why? Late to the party this week - stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

Definitely it is just the room that's too small!
