It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme over on the Quirky Crafts challenge Blog and see would like to see, anything about wine (wouldn't we all!) She would love to see wine glasses, wine
bottles, people with wine glasses, (holding them, not wearing them...) grapes, etc. but also, it could be
any project with wine or red colours.
Our team have made some great projects, so pop over and join in! Our sponsor for this challenge is...
Here's my creation. Sorry yes I know, it's late and that's a bugaboo image but well, it went so well and for some reason it was sitting in my Cracker Box folder on my computer begging me to join it up with the sentiment and the grapes and the bottle of wine all from our sponsor, so I did. Only trouble was, my computer thinks it's out of ink, but it's not so I decided to print to hubby's computer in the room next door, and like hubby, his computer and printer were snoozing....and no amount of prodding and poking would wake either of them up!
I wanted to put everything together on my computer and then print it out onto my last bit of nice glossy photo card. My last bit of glossy photo card... yes, you can see it's all going to go wrong, can#t you!?!...hmmm.
After failing to print nine times... it suddenly printed...agh but I'd forgot to resize it on that last try and it printed it out the full A4 size....but never mind...I think it'll make a great sign for my sis-in-law to hang on her office wall
My next attempt worked just right, this time printed on some matt photo card/paper 235gsm. It's all one print, the little boats backing paper is by PinkPetticoat, Bugaboo image and the sentiment, grapes, wine bottle, not forgetting the words on the wine bottle, which I nearly did, all come from Cracker Box Palace our lovely sponsors (all coloured on the computer) I then snipped the corners with a corner punch, folded it over and that's it, done...and normally would've taken about two minutes.... not seven hours!
So now it's your turn, all about wine but could also be any project with wine or red colours!! Thanks for stopping by!!
A lot of time, but so cue in the end!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! Sorry you had such problems with it but it turned out perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is a hoot! I bet she will really like it! I get so frustrated when things don't print right or do like they're supposed to. Glad you were finally able to complete your project! Really cute! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this and Stella, I thought Lyn has got her knickers in a twist again! But then I saw the sentiment and grapes, phew! They go well together. I tried to colour my bottle on the computer and failed miserably using Serif Pageplus!
