Quirky Well Make Us Laugh!!

Hi guys! Sorry for no blogging for ages,  so busy and I'm never in these days! Last weeks freebie never got done so I promise two new freebies this week! Now it's time for the next Quirky Crafts Challenge and sorry for forgetting to put this on timer, because it's my turn to choose the theme.. and I've chosen...
 Make Us Laugh!!!
We're sponsored by Crackerbox Castle who make super-dooper rubber and clear stamps.
The team have had a fabulous variety to play with so don't forget to call into Quirky Crafts and  have a look at what everyone's  been up too! We have so many different ideas and inspiration with our design team and guests, spreading all over the planet!
Here's my card. Yes, it's a lion on a halloween card... well once I decided to add the sentiment, it all came together very quickly! (actually, that's a bit of a fib!)His name is Friendly Lion
I've used Pink Petticoat papers on the outside, layered with black card. The tag was cut with a die cut free with Paper Craft Essentials this month and inked with TH's Distressed ink.
The lion has been 3D-ed (he has two heads and two tops to his tail. I fussy snipped his mane and of course coloured him with Promarkers. if you look closely you'll see his nose is dusted with black micro glitter to make it sparkle. I've also added Stickles Glitter-glue, a few punched out cats...I couldn't find my cat punch but found some black card where I'd already punched some out and just re-punched them with a small circle and added more PP lilac paper behind to show up the cats.  I've also added a fish bone and some sequin pumpkins and a spider. The skull is from a scrap of Pink Petticoat backing paper. (The idea was...he's eaten whoever it was!)  Happy Halloween is a scrap of ribbon folded over to make the second sentiment.
The inside papers were freebies and the eyelash wool  is from my stash.
Well I think that's it! Bit manic here at home at the moment... a storm is brewing and we have family for diner... I mean we have roast for diner... and family are joining us...along with Jinx the lodger cat and Bronte a lovely red setter who's staying with us this week! So....a houseful! Thank you for stopping by! I'll pop back later to add some links and a few...

WOYWW? It's all on the floor.....

Happy Wednesday Woyww? to you! Sunday, Son-in-law Tom posted this picture of my Craft-room on Face Book....

yes he did....thinking it would shame me into tiding it up. Instead the comments were the opposite! Crafters understand the mess and that there just isn't time to tidy!! Today he took this picture below.... he has a posh new mobile phone!  Not a lot of difference...only it's slightly bendy! Looks like I have curved benches. (I can dream)
Happy WOYWW! Catch you later!! Pop over to Stamping Ground and join in!

This weeks freebie will be here later...
I can't comment on Google + blogs but I do (((wave)))

T on Tuesday with ElizabeTh

Hi peoples! I was early for this but then things happened and now I'm late. but somewhere in the world it must be T time! My Tuesday T time with Elizabeth this week started just after Ten This morning, when I got home, wet through, after walking dogs in the rain.... so I had hot cocoa (with a spoonful of Nutella...in sinks to the bottom so you need a spoon!) in a Teddy mug and Nutella on Toast, as I'd been out since eight with no Time for breakfasT.

Then, around lunch Time, Hubby came home with some sausage rolls, so I had a cup of Tea and some HP sauce, although I didn't manage to eat even half of it but it was nice.....ish
Then...son-in-law turned up with baby Niamh, so everything else had to stop! This was Taken on Sunday....(but it was cuter than the one taken today.) Note the Table cloTh goes on the floor and who found a really good use for the net-tray at the base of the high chair? Jinx turned it into a cat hammock!!  The sun's turned up now so I think I might just have Time to finish planting my tulips! Pop over to Elizabeth's and join in!

Quirky Challenge Reminder 'Favourite Things!'

It's that Quirky reminder time again! The Challenge is, My Favourite Things... (Don't forget to tell us what your favourite things you've used, are!)We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and Crafty Ribbons. You have another week to join in and be with a chance to win some lovely digi's or a voucher to spend!
For my second DT Creation, I used this little penguin, called Paul Penguin Sleighing from our Sponsors.
One of my favourites things to do is to add a PNG digi over an already coloured background. This snowy Sky is my own freebie paper found HERE.   I did it in Word. (See picture on your right.) First I added the background and sized it down, then added the penguin and did the same, copied three more of him and printed it all out, coloured them with Promarkers. I love 3D-ing to make the image pop, so I did that using bits of the other penguins, an extra hat, scarf and feet and then added a real red pom-pom to his hat!  I've gone around the edge of the whole topper with a black felt tip pen leaving a white edge. I also have a 'thing' for fonts. I try to link my posts to freebie fonts whenever I can. The one I used on this card is called Patterns and Dots and you can download it HERE
Another thing, which I don't get to use very often, is to use acetate. (usually recycled acetate) I've fixed these snowflakes onto acetate so I can have then off the edge of the card.
The papers I've used are from Papermania called 'Home For Christmas' which  I bought in a sale last Christmas for about £2.50. It's nice and thick (180gsm)  and there's loads of things to match with it... I did have some ribbon but couldn't find it! I bet I left it in the shop! (The link is to show you the other matching goodies and not where I bought them)
I've also used punched out flowers and fern leaves to add interest to the other corners, added some Stickles Glitter and two clear gems.
I think that's it! Come and join in over on Quirky Crafts, see you there! Thank you for stopping by! I'm not here but later I hope to add this to some...

Happy WOYWW!

I keep thinking it must be Monday...because T for Tuesday was Monday but it's not, it is Tuesday...But,no!! It's WEDNESDAY again, and time for WOYWW, and I'm still behind. I had to take a picture of WOYWW because there's a Halloween Card from Elizabeth AND an extra WOYWW ATC, as her first one went walk-about. Elizabeth even made the envelope from  a magazine! Brill! So, nothing of mine to see this week, as I'm writing every spare second, must get Part Two out, and walking dogs the other times...
Thanks for stopping by. Sorry I can't comment on Google+ blogs but I do wave!! Now go over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in too!

sorry freebie will be a bit late this week.....

T with Elizabeth!

I've been so busy walking dogs these past couple of weeks I haven't had time to stop for T with Elizabeth! But today I had to, even though I'm a bit late. I'd just made a cuppa, ready to plant out some bulbs when the postman came and brought me an ATC and a Halloween card from Elizabeth!! Her WOYWW ATC was lost, so she's kindly made another, I'm so chuffed, I've left the cold tea and the bulbs, their cardboard cover pictures have all been eaten by slugs and snails, so I won't know what I'm planting anyway, (probably Tulips and Tete a Tete) to quickly type this out! What a Treat on Tuesday! Thank you Elizabeth!!
Here's Jinx, Tired cat.... sitting on Hubby's desk. Paying the bills? No, he was trying to workout how that microphone worked... he looks bored now! So, if you're stopping for T....any T? Call in on Altered book lover and join in!

It's A Quirky Favourite!!

It's that Quirky Time again! This time it's Daire's turn to set the theme. It's Daire's last challenge as she has decided to move on after being with us for ten months, so she wanted something nice and easy!
Your Favourite Things!
This could be your favourite colour, your favourite technique, your favourite theme, your favourite brand, whatever you like! The one rule is we would need you to tell us which of your favourite things you've used. (otherwise how will we know?) If you don't, Cazzy will wave her magic stick and you will not be counted in the voting.
We're sponsored this time by Robyn's Fetish and Crafty Ribbons; so, some lovely prizes for our winners!!
Here's my card; I love layering, the more layers the more fun I have and I love 3-D-ing to make the image pop and of course colouring with my ProMarkers. So when I saw we had this cute little cook from Robyn's Fetish I remembered another favourite image from Mo Manning and the papers I used when I made that card. Definitely my favourite cooking papers! They were freebies from Paper Craft Inspirations (one of my favourite magazines) some years ago. (I'm afraid the link is now closed) Luckily I already had some saved and printed out and ready to go!
First I covered the blank card in red card... I would've used a red blank card if I had one the right size, but this works just as well, and makes a good 'solid' card! Then in red gingham. Then I cut everything else to size and layered it onto more red card, added the brads, fiddled with the shapes for a bit and then fixed them all on. I did add a bit of spotted ribbon but didn't have enough to make a bow... so then covered it with some clear sticky stuff you add to the underneath of carpets to stop them from slipping. (It's supposed to look like kitchen tiles and it adds a bit of texture) Finished off by adding the button kitchen things with a dob of gel glue.
The Little Cook is called My Little Cook you can find her over in Robyn's Fetish Store  (she's on sale at the moment too!) I've 3D-ed her, so printed out two of her and then added another head, body and socks, shoes and a bit of the stool to the main image, to make her pop out.
Inside: slightly more red showing on the left as the papers were printed out at a different time, one full page and one to fit page I think, so the left one was a fraction smaller then the right side.... but who will notice, apart from me!?  The little toppers came with the set.
The Font I've used is a freebie, it's called Violety Crumble, (which I thought was clever...crumble... apple, rhubarb) I don't just throw these posts together you know!! (yes you do!)  You can download it HERE
or HERE or Google the name.
I'm not here at the moment so I hope this starts on time...The clock on my computer is half an hour fast on purpose...That's it! Thank you for stopping by, don't forget to hop over to Quirky Crafts and join in!!  I hope to add this into some...

Happy Anniversary Tom and Emma!

OM goodiness, doesn't time fly? But when you think about it, it doesn't does it? No... it's US who fly through IT! Okay, too early in the morning to be that deeeeeep. (I thought this was on timer... so it might not be that early)
Happy Anniversary to Tom and Emma, my lovely s.i.l. and daughter! I've made them a bit of a gooshie card, (whatever that means) as I just couldn't think what to use! (So a bit of everything that fell off the pile!....I mean that!)
Printer still refusing to use new inks....we have three new ink cartridges now... and every one comes up with..."computer says no!" or in this case, printer says no!
Here's the card, I've made. LOTV printed image from set, which came with a Crafty Magazine, so I guess it's a digi as it's been printed and not stamped with ink. I've used Promarkers to colour her. Added three shades of Stickles Glitter glue, on her dress, wings, butterflies, papers and everywhere else I could dab it! Butterfly ribbon from stash, two different butterfly punches, three different flower punches, gems, wizzy wire stuff and grey/silver eyelash wool.
Inside papers came from 'Webster's pages 'Best Friends' (mid-release collection'.) I used a die-cut for the centre bit and added five hearts to celebrate five years!
Out side papers, from Me to You, 'Especially For You.'
The Font is of course a freebie, quite small, it's called Tropicali Script BNT  and you can download that HERE  Think that's it for now...I'm off again, add more pictures when I get back. so see you later.... thank you for stopping by! Later, hope to add this to same...

A Quirky Pumpkin Reminder With A Bumpkin-Trio!

Hi Quirky People, just a quickie post (again, as I'm not here) to remind you all  to come over and join in with Quirky Crafts PUMPKIN challenge!! We have loads of lovely creatons playing along already and there's still a week left so there's plenty of time for you to join in too!
Here's my second DT card, using one of our sponsors fabulous digi images, these lovely little pumpkin babies called Bumpkin-Trio by Bugaboo. (Our other sponsor this challenge is Limited Runs!)
Coloured by Promarkers and of course they've been 3D-ed as this really is one of my favourite 'things'  to do. Hopefully one day I'll get it right!
PinkPetticoat papers. I've been using up all my scraps, as well as using black, purple, green and orange to go with a few challenges I hope I'm not too late for!I thought I'd add this card too, from last year. Then I used 'Orange' on the baby Pumpkin, this time I've used 'Honeycomb.'
Back to the main card...
Another card using same digi
I've added a smidge of Stickles to the 'stars' to make them sparkle. Also added halloween sequins; pumpkins, cats and a skull. The Boo, was diecute from my Quickutz.
Ribbon and eyelash wool from stash and the big star button, (which I've 'threadled' with tiny beads) was from a store near me that so wanted to be a craft shop, but sadly seems to have disappeared!
The green stars are plastic and come on a roll, like ribbon. I've had them ages and never used them!
The web is a border and the corner punch are from Martha Stewart!  I think that's it!! This is on timer and might be posted a bit early but, never mind, you can still pop over  to Quirky Crafts and join in!. Thank you for stopping by! Hope to add this to some....
