Sorry there's nothing on my Boxing Day craft room coz my camera's batteries are flat, so I thought you'd like to meet Brustle! (Tom took this picture on his phone yesterday) He's the last of Christmas Day's Brussel Sprouts! I gave him button brad eyes and my sis in law gave him bread sauce hair!!! (that might be a bit of samon or carrot for a mouth..).Yes, this is what was on our Christmas Day table! He is still with us today, only he's and mean, it's looking a lot greyer and his 'hair' has lost its fluffiness! Happy WOYWW everyone, will try to do a freebie later...off to buy batteries!!
Happy Boxing Day!!!!
I'm not a sprout lover at all but I have to say I do love yours :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten it was Wednesday til I switched the computer on but of course I wouldn't miss out our fun for all the world even if life is pretty manic at ours today :-)
I've done the early prep that I can do for the party later[quiche, icing of buns, cooking of mini sausages etc] so there is just the last minute bits to go in the oven now. Now enjoying a quick bit of blog hopping and a coffee :-)
Here's hoping 2013 brings good health and much happiness for all :-)
Biggest hugs,
Annie x
Only way to treat a Brussels Sprout in my opinion! Continuing good wishes for the festive season, and happy WOYWW!

So creative Lyn. It does look like a salmon mouth. I don't like brussel sprouts (never have done) so think this is a fantastic use for them! Looks like you had a lot of fun at your dinner! Hope it was a great day.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn your 'sprout' made me laugh. There's no crafting desk from me either!!! Loved the photo of your grandson. Anne x #54
ReplyDeletePlaying with your food again? tsk tsk! lol I don't think I'd want him looking at me while I ate! Waving hi from the rainy, but wishing it was snowing hills of North Carolina for the last WOYWW of 2012!!
ReplyDeleteOh no Lyn playing with your food again!!! I enjoy the mini sculptures my kids come up with from the left overs too...one year it was the krum kaka became vases and the filling was the soil and we had radish and celery flowers...I thought at least one of the two would be come cooks but...nah! I still cook! Hope you are having a great holiday week and Happy New Year! It is a busy time of year but like you I couldn't miss the last WOYWW of the year! Vickie #4

ReplyDeleteMay I have your address, please, Lyn? I want to come and play with you and make vegetable people!

That made me smile...I actually LOVE sprouts. Glad you had a wonderful Xmas ....and I wish you a great New Year.....love the Santa shot below. xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a spectacular piece of Brussel sprouts! I'm sure it was terribly sad looking the next day...and even worse smelling! lol Hope you got some batteries and are doing well. Your saying "in a darkened corner in a tiny room...a pile of paper grows" just cracks me up! :) It makes me think of the paper in my craft cave...heeheehee...

Hmmm my children would hate me if of all the days of the year I pick Xmas day to put brussell sprouts on the table LOL.. That would be what they would do to them for sure, they would not eat them..
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
Sandy :)
Yay! Sprouts rule! I love them. :o) Happy Wednesday and Happy New Year, too.
