Quick, Wake up! It's WOYWW? 608!

What? Hey! oh! Grab the camera, take a pic of my crafty worktop... and join in with Julia, over on Stamping Ground! Oh no! Bizzz-ting! This time the camera only took ONE picture, and with new batteries in it too! This is my life... hunting for batteries and these were new! Straight from the packet! Least I got five pictures out of the last two sets of two.. Did we order any? Did the Tesco delivery bring any? Hubby grunts, he's fallen asleep too! Gosh, it was only eight o'clock just now, I was watching 'Dogs, behaving (very) badly' on channel 5...!  Now it appears we're catching up with some film on Netflix!

Anyway (breathe) Here's my worktop... can you believe it was completely clear this afternoon, ready for me to take a few pictures of some lovely die-cuts Lilian sent me! Thank you Lilian!  Now I can't find where I organised them to!

Right, I've managed to take a couple of pics with my phone now, only I have to email them to myself, because- I'm not as smart as my phone and don't know any other way to do it! And now... I can't even get the flippin' camera to open to get the one picture it took! Evidently, I need high-capacity batteries! (No w-a#*%$@^-y!)

So, I hope you are all well and staying safe and are not going crazy! Come and join in over at The Stamping Ground with a picture or two of your worktop... wherever it is! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Looks like you have a lot of interesting things on the go. I like the pencil storage. I have things in containers on the floor and have to keep reaching down to grab them. I really need to find a better system.

  2. That looks like a busy desk - well a busy corner in total.
I know the feeling of putting something down and not being able to see it. That is me - often! In fact the other day I searched and searched for something in my room and there it was, right in front of me when I sat down having given up. I think there is someone moving stuff about and trying to trick me. Maybe that person has your die cuts.
Take care and stay safe and well, Hugs, Neet 9 xx

  3. Ha! I take photos on my old iPhone, with no SIM card in it and mail them to myself to then post on my blog from my desktop. It works so why question it, right? Your desk looks fun as ever, and I love your pencil/pen storage too. I need something like that, if I only had wall space to mount it!

Happy WOYWW - NOT at the hospital today but with a thumping headache yet determined to WOYWW nonetheless! Best day of my week…

  4. You made me laugh with your tech issues, sorry, but I get so exasperated too when things out to be straightforward but so often aren’t! Thank you for being a follower too, don’t worry I often realise that I’ve been reading someone’s blog for years assuming I was a follower but aren’t...doh!
Do get some Micron pens, they’re not that expensive on Amazon, they really are waterproof, I can start painting with watercolour straight away and the ink doesn’t bleed at all.

  5. Hope you manage to sort out the battery situation, that certainly sounds like a power hungry camera. At least you managed a work around with your phone. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

  6. Unfortunately, I think the "tech issues" will only get worse! LOLOL As this next generation advances, so will all that stuff and we will all be scratching our heads! Looks like you have a lot of crafting going on on your desktop! Happy crafting to you and stay safe! Felicia #28

  9. Now that looks like a busy desk for sure. Hope you found the batteries, I hate it when I can't find stuff, drives me mad. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x18x

  10. I love all the happy colours on your desk! I love desks that have lots of pots of delicious things in them and I've tried it myself but it makes my eye twitch. I'm assuming you didn't get much snow at the weekend? We got enough for a brief play in Southampton but it didn't sound like it got very far west. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #10

  12. Whoa - slow down!! I email my photos to myself too! Years ago I used to plug in my phone to my pc but my ancient equipment won't play with apple, so as I do any serious internetting on my pc that's the only thing I can do. (Don't get me started on the cloud, I disabled all that ages ago utter nonsense). Batteries were the bane of my life too until we invested in re-chargeables. Really useful!! And yes, I can believe that your desk was tidy - how DOES that happen? Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx #8

  14. :) I do not know what kind of a phone you have but, I am assuming its a smart one and you have apps? if so, what I do is I shoot with my phone (my desk because, the depth of field issues when using a SLR) and then I open google photos on my cell phone which backs up the photos to a cloud then I open google photos on a laptop and save them to the desk top of the computer to edit them. (not sure if that would work easier than emailing the photos?)

PS I love that you have your Penny Black stamps out as art to enjoy in your space ~Stacy #33

  17. Sorry, thought I'd commented but I seem to have lost the plot with who I commented on!!! I did the school photo thing and changed my long hair usual centre parting to a side one once, looks horrid!

As for the photos from device to computer. I mainly use my phone for photos these days and rather than plugging it into the PC to upload the photos, I tend to use either:-

    1) Facebook Messenger - I send them to my husband and as a consequence he knows it's WOYWW - LOL. I can then get them off Messenger on the PC.
    2) or you can send them to Google Keep and access that on the PC that way.

It's a right pickle. Thought that was why in Blogger it seemed that the photos come out smaller but even if I upload via the direct lead to PC blogger seems to do the same???
    Thanks for the visit BJ#11

    1. With this phone I'm supposed to be able to just lie it next to the laptop and it 'magically' saves stuff! It did that when I first got it with my old laptop, which means I have everyone who has ever contacted me on my phone!!

  18. Thanks for your return visit - I did leave you a comment but it doesn't seem to be showing. So glad Jinx is as indulged as our two are lol! As soon as we got our new furniture, our kitties took it over completely. I have made another of the cat face squares and am now on my third. I've decided to make 6 of them in all, with 3 different colourways. The overall colour scheme is monochrome from cream to black with greys in between, with tiny colour accents for eyes and noses!

  19. Hi Spyder! Oh the woes of technology. At least we don't have to wait a week for the pictures to develop and then have to go pick them up! Even though I have I-cloud, which is supposed to automatically upload any pics I take to the cloud immediately, I still sometimes have to send pics to myself! Can you imagine blogs back in the 70's? The world is so much smaller now. You certainly have a lovely busy desk! I'm not surprised you can't find your new die - I go through that every day! Mittsy was delighted that you liked her but that you called her a dog - well, I don't know if she will ever forgive you for that! Meow! Have a great week, Lindart #34 (that's OK, I forgive you!)

    1. Ooh I'm sooo sorry Mittsy! My head was thinking as I typed, of all the silly dogs that I've looked after who lie on their backs with their feet in the air!  Of course I meant cat!! Mr Jinx sends his meows!!((Lyn))
