WOYWW # 142...

I was going to be very clever, knowing I'd be well late this week, and start my 'What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday', with pictures from earlier in the week, (I know that's cheating) of before I tidied up my craft room and finish up today, with how it looked 'after' I'd waved my magic wand, showing you a very clear and fabulously tidy bench with a few random makes for today's blog hop at Julia's Stamping Ground... but building up to John's mum's funeral, which was yesterday ~I'd like to think I was being optimistic and positive~well, of course that didn't happen. So for once this is my desk now, this moment in time.
We had a good day yesterday if that's the right word, full of very highs and very lows. Thanks to little Pam, who's in her eighties the flowers once again were amazing, June would have loved them. Now I hate to be morbid, no one likes!! In the two pictures above, who can spot the one thing I swapped?
Freebie is going to be a little late this morning, but it will be here. So I'd better go and draw it!
Thanks for stopping by.

So sorry, some of your earlier comments were deleted by mistake... I pressed the wrong button!

  1. Hi Lyn...yellow sticky notes for a punch...I think that's what you swapped...and as I have omly just arrived I have not been
We just had my uncles funeral, and know exactly what you mean about highs and lows...some of the speeches, you could say, had us in stiches of laughter and then we applauded, couldn't help it, some people just know what and how to say things...

    Luv CHRISSYxx

  2. The yellow ?punch has been turned upside down in the second pic :-)
    Glad all went well yesterday.
    A x

  3. What a lovely pile of stash oh and would it be the yellow punch by any chance hehe. the cards that are lurking look fabulous. hugs heid x

  4. I am glad that the funeral went as well as possible. Lovely busy desk this week...the thing that has changed is the swirl (present in the top picture and absent in the bottom!).

  5. Afternoon Lyn, a bit late for me this week! I love the creativity of your desk, its fantastic. I am not sure what you swapped, but the yellow punch has been added to the second picture and the yellow object (not sure what it is!!) is no longer in the second photo either!!

Take care, have a great WOYWW and a fab week, Luv Karen xx

  6. Nice flowers are essential aren't they. They can really give good cheer and I thi nk they help a a lot.
    xx 101

  7. It looks like the little blue heart punch is missing, and the yellow flower punch is either missing or upside down. Love those spot the difference things, thanks for some fun.

  8. Sorry about John's mom, Lyn. But I admit, I spent way too much time looking at both photos and the only thing I saw different was a pink handle in the bottom photo (far right side middle) that I didn't see in the first photo. Happy WOYWW from #9.

  9. How lovely to see such a mess!

Hopefully now you have had the funeral you can begin to move forward.

    Happy WOYWW Jakix #83

  10. You have a perfectly good excuse for not having got around with that magic wand.
Have a rest and a sit down with a cuppa, you deserve it.
Hugs and thanks for sharing - Neet 33 xx

  11. Yellow punch!!!! I just love your mess, Have a good week! Hugs May x x

  12. The yellow flower punch & a tray of the embellies has been moved. :) Glad the flowers turned out so well & that June would have loved them.

  13. Sorry for your loss. Funerals are always a bit sad but so worth that to honour and celebrate a persons life.
The highs and lows sort of balance don't they...and you are left with that nice sort of feeling that you gave them a good send off!

  14. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family ((hugs)) So you "cheat" on the pictures eh?, will have to keep my eye on you! HA! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

  15. I would say the punch and something yellow was switched. Have a nice day.

  16. Sorry not studied your desk well enough to spot the differences. Glad that the funeral went well and that there were some highs as well as lows- it was he same at my dsd's funeral. Anne x

  17. Glad things went as well as they could yesterday. thank you for finding the time to pop in today to visit and for you kind comments. You did not delete me as it has taken till now to get to you. I thought it was the yellow punch that moved. Hope you have a better and more relaxing week to recover a little. xx Maggie #11

  18. Hi I love your desk thats just how mine looked last weekend lol thank you for the comment you left on my blog hope you have a good week

  19. It sounds like the funeral went well. Think of it as a gathering to honor your loved one. Flowers do add something. You get a pass this week - for not clearing up your desk. Sometimes a messy desk is the perfect thing! Sit down, have a cup of tea and just run your fingers through all your craft things.

  20. Lots of crafty and creative stuff on your desk that's for sure!
The black and white and red (magenta?) card is really pretty! I will look to see if you have an earlier post about it!
    xoxo Karen #93

  21. Sorry I'm late getting here too... glad the funeral went ok. I know what you mean about good bits and bad bits... great desk, both shots!

  22. Aw, condolences, and well done..a good funeral isn't easy, but so much the better if you can do it. Hugs to John.
Your desk is a riot..what's the webbed tape for then? Huh? Huh?

  23. Sorry to hear about your loss but glad it went ok. Lots going on, your desk is full of crafty goodies. Enjoy this week's WOYWW snoop of the crafty & creative desks around the world. Take care Zo xx 81

  24. A little late visiting.. think you swapped the yellow punch for a piece of yellow penscore or sponge

  25. we kid ourselves about all sorts of things so why should our plans to be tidy be any different?

    apart from you will definitely lose the little scissors, for sure, in the landslide that is about to happen across right of desk to left of desk as we desk hoppers look at it;

you are not morbid, you are full of life, grieving has it's place in our lives right up alongside the celebrations,

    take care

  26. Yup, the yellow punch has vanished...

Sending you and John hugs on the loss of his Mum.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  27. Chill out and don't worry, you've had enough to deal with.
You do get the coconut for the best mess of the week and you should be proud of it.
Keep smiling and you'll get there,
    love joZarty x

  28. Aww lyn...a long tough week I am sure. Looks like you made up for it plenty by "arranging" your desk!
