Tom and Emma's Anniversary Card

This is a very quick card, mostly stickers, which isn't really me. It's a bit of a cheat really, isn't it!?! But Emma likes Forever Friends and 'simple' cards... and I don't think I could have done any simpler! It's her and Tom's first Wedding Anniversary to day, so I hope they are having a lovely evening!! I've done this post on the 'timer' because I'm not really here (I'm still in Seattle) so I still can't 'add' any real news...unless of course I can get my hands on a computer or I take mine with me and then, I may've already told you all the news there is and you know all about it, even though as I type this, I still haven't a clue! (That sounded better in my head, but I know what I mean!!) Catch you all soon...take care!

Halloween Y Fronts

I just had to take a picture of these Halloween Y fronts and pants. Only in America! They really do go completely mad about Halloween. Well....I couldn't resist and bought myself a pair of...scary spider sox! ha-ha, you thought I was going to say pants, didn't you!

Mason's First Shopping Trip

Okay so it's not crafty but this is the first trip baby Mason had in the car with his gran and grandad. A trip out to Babies R Us...only of course the R should be backwards! He looks so cute in his little hat!

What we did next...

We're still in Seattle well, we're staying in a Hotel, which is about 45 minutes from Seattle and about half an hour from Monroe, where Maria and baby Mason are now home. I'm still very surprised she was allowed home so quickly from Hospital after having a Caesarean. (Two days! Stitches out-home!!)
Mason was still looking a bit yellow, even after his hospital visit, (yep, we had to drive all the way back to the hospital the next day for his check ups...the ones the doctors over here usually do in the hospital before you leave...) the doctor didn't really (in my view) seem that worried about it. When Emma was a baby, (my eldest) she was put straight into one of those see through baby incubators with the light over, you know the kind, but no, not here... it saves money I guess, and I would have meant a longer stay in Hospital, but anyway he's now having a bottle to help top up his fluids and is looking a lot less yellow.
We've spent the last few days helping Maria and baby while Jesse has started getting back into his work. He does work from home but has to travel miles to see clients. had an odd feeling about all that, but I guess that's just me being mum.
Saturday we thought we'd 'do Seattle' and today will call in and spend time with Maria and baby, but not before we take a look at the place (if we can find it!) where she is hopefully moving next week!!!
The little wooden house (they are all wooded houses over here) where they are living now, is up for auction in two weeks time !!! So is all packed up and ready for the big move, which still doesn't seem a sure deal yet. But they don't seem worried and are all excited about the move to the 'cabin' in Money Creek! (Or is that Muddy Creek?) Frankly, the thought of being snowed in for months in winter, worries me silly!!

Space Needle. Seattle.

We had a great time visiting our daughter Maria, hubby Jesse and of course our first Grand child, Manson Rain. He's such a cutie!!
Most days we spent with Maria and baby Mason. Maria was discharged from Hospital as soon as she had her 'staples out' Just two days. I thought that was a bit soon after a Cesarean, but that's how they do it over there, which meant of course, she had to go back to the hospital the very next day and a couple of times after that, for all the normal Baby check ups. Things that in my day (god I sound old!!) would have been done while 'mum' was still recovering in hospital. But of course, they don't have the NHS over there do they and I guess cost makes them kick you out as early as they can!Their hospitals are brilliant but, I'm just not used to seeing a cash register! Still, it was an insight on how other countries do things... Glad it's not our way!
We had a couple of days when we went off to explore. Of course we had to go up the Space Needle again, can't go to Seattle and not go into Starbucks or go up the Space Needle!
First we took the Monorail and quickly made our way to the tower. It was a lot busier this time but it wasn't long before we were in the lift and zooming to the top with great views all round. I hate lifts and heights, but honestly, this was brilliant!

Pharaohs Birthday

Well not really! It's a birthday card for a forum buddy. Remember the other Pharaoh card I did? No? Oh well, never mind. Anyway, I've made another one because I suddenly thought, 'oh bother!' she may've seen the card if she visited my blog, and that will spoil the surprise! It'll still be a surprise because it's a different card! (Well, I know what I mean) I'm hoping this card will appear as if by magic while I'm driving on the wrong side of the road over in Seattle...watch out if you live there!!! But Mr Blogger was doing silly things the day I was doing all this and I had to delete a few posts just in case they popped up at the wrong time! Now, I'm not going to tell you the name of the font, but if you track down the last Egyptian card I did, there's a link to a font very much like it, not the same, but almost. Now if you want to win some stamped out images of the Pharaoh you can see on the card, all you have to do is work out the greeting!! Easy!! Email me the answer, (find that on my complete profile!) The first six correct answers will receive the stamped images. Open until the 18th October!
Bye for now!
