Most days we spent with Maria and baby Mason. Maria was discharged from Hospital as soon as she had her 'staples out' Just two days. I thought that was a bit soon after a Cesarean, but that's how they do it over there, which meant of course, she had to go back to the hospital the very next day and a couple of times after that, for all the normal Baby check ups. Things that in my day (god I sound old!!) would have been done while 'mum' was still recovering in hospital. But of course, they don't have the NHS over there do they and I guess cost makes them kick you out as early as they can!Their hospitals are brilliant but, I'm just not used to seeing a cash register! Still, it was an insight on how other countries do things... Glad it's not our way!
We had a couple of days when we went off to explore. Of course we had to go up the Space Needle again, can't go to Seattle and not go into Starbucks or go up the Space Needle!
First we took the Monorail and quickly made our way to the tower. It was a lot busier this time but it wasn't long before we were in the lift and zooming to the top with great views all round. I hate lifts and heights, but honestly, this was brilliant!
