This Weeks Wednesday Digi! CLOSED

I've seen quite a few on these 'making angel wings in the snow' digi's but none with a teddy, so I made this one a while back but for some reason my program wouldn't save him as a jpeg or PNG... I have no idea why. Maybe the scanner was cross with the computer for some reason! I've had problems for a while, but all seems okay now!
I've been so busy, I haven't even had time to nip into town to buy a new pen, so apologies if teddy has a few rough edges!  This is him in his first 'draft' as I said before, once I try to alter him in any way....the computer says  'no!' The 'snow' was made a bit more wiggly with more 'wings' and he had a black nose and furry cuffs...but the computer prefered him this way! So, what do I know!?!   Thank you for stopping by! Closed!
And this fabulous card is from the one and only Ike!!

It's An Altered Quirky Vintage Christmas!

Hi peoples! It's time for another Quirky Craft's challenge. It's Monica's turn to set the theme this fortnight and she would like to see...
 VINTAGE CHRISTMAS ALTERED PROJECTS
Can't wait to see what you come up with! Our sponsor this time round is STITCHY BEAR STAMPS, and I've used this cute little fairy asleep under the Christmas tree on my altered project.
Woh! This was a bit out of my comfort zone!  And my computer is still doing weird things...but I think it's because it's short on memory! (aw....bit like me!) Hi Peoples! It's time for another....have I just said that!?!
Okay, here's my make... I've turned an old dairy from 2004, never used, into a note book... A Christmas Wish List Note Book.
I've used Magic of Christmas from our sponsors and also some
vintage papers, which were free from a crafting magazine a few weeks ago.  I printed the digi image over that and glued it to the front of the plastic book cover and then re-punched the holes so the note book hinge would still work. I've used Distress Ink on all the edges. The ribbons are all left over Christmas vintage scraps. The tiny glass charms are really for wine glasses, but I thought they looked cute so added them too. The silver snowflake is on silver elastic and came off an old Christmas card. It's used to help keep the book closed and to mark the page (once I start filling it up with 'wish list goodies', that's every ones of course, not just mine!) I also had a go at covering a beer mat....not really happy with it  so I only made one, I've added a picture of that too. I've used Distress Ink on all the edges as well.
The Font I've used on the front of the booklet is called 'Christmas Card' You can Download it HERE
It was based on the hand lettered opening titles of the film 'It's A Wonderful Life'. I used it in WordArt text and coloured it red on the computer. The digi has been coloured using Promarkers. That's it I think! Thank you for stopping by, I'm not here... so this is on timer. Hope to add this to some...

WOYWW!? A Bit of A Space!!!

Haven't been able to join in with WOYWW as mostly there's been less and less time but more so... my computer seems to be very ill! It's so slow it took me two hours just to join in a challlenge last night! I'm hopeless at using other computers and of course 'others' haven't got 'things' I need to use! Never mind! I'm here now.... although I had to give up on this weeks freebie, my poor computer couldn't even 'see' my scanner. And no amount of yelling at it, telling it the scanner/printer was just inches away, helped! But two freebies (Wednesdays and my 800 followers freebie should be here later)
As you can see I have a very rare  'space' on my desk this week, owing to the fact I've just pushed it all back! There's a few bits left over from cards I can't show yet and another bit from a card I have shown you. I'm hoping to get posts done later while I have the chance to use a computer that works! OOps...  oh-oh.... it looks like this one is about to......no, it's okay, I'm still here! (Phew... ) So, what's on your workdesk this Wednesday? Pop over to Julia's stamping ground and join in!!!

Spyder's Other Corner Sponsoring [Pin]Spirational Challenges

It's sponsor time again! This week Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner is sponsoring...
PinSpirational's challenge this time is nice an easy. They've sent me a lovely picture of a cake with candles, although I would've loved a slice too! Can't beat a bit of birthday cake! Anyway, that can only mean one thing in my book, party time! Birthdays! One winner will win any five digi's from my store, regardless of price and another winner will win four digi's from Delicious Doodles.
Here's my card, thought I'd join in too with this party going puss! Well, actually he's run off with the birthday cake! I called him Cookie Cake Kitty
He's making off with a chocolate fudge cookie cake! I've coloured him with promarkers and as always, he's been 3D-ed . There's about four layers of him. The first one had an ear missing, then I just cut out a whole kitty but without the whiskers, then there's another without a tail, a leg and some of the candles. The last layer is just his upper body. I've layered it all on red card, then red gingham which you can download FREE from Activity Village (Link always on sidebar)
The doily and the red and white twine were freebies from Craft Magazines. The white die cut 'flower' I cut from foam and added a candi top to it.
The papers were freebies from CardMaking and PaperCraft Magazine last year. A booklet called 'Summertime Luxury Paper Collection.' by Jenny Ellory.
First time I've used these papers. They're double sided, which means... you have to choose which lovely side to use, and I hate having to glue down  a pretty colour on the other side, never to be seen! Anyway, I've used two sheets here as I really loved the cakes!
The font is a freebie it's callled Dom Casual BT download that HERE (some sites charge) I've also added, a little detail with white gell pen and a few dabs of Stickles Glitter.
I'm still having trouble with a bug on my computer. I've noticed today that things are quite right here on there blog either, so it hasn't been killed off yet, but does seem well and truely wacked and has at least stopped popping up adverts or sending me off to other sites when I'm typing, or flashing up some other things across my screen. Meanwhile, Hubby's put he's doctors mask on and is still looking into it!
Back to the challenge, here's the inspirational picture...so it's now up to you! Pop over and join in! That's it!! Thank you for stopping by! 800 followers freebie should be here soon, I'm sooo busy walking dogs I'm sure my legs are getting shorter!! Some of these might be a bit out of date but an hoping to add this to a few....

A Quick Quirky Reminder! (Baby It's Cold Outside) And 800 Followers!!

Hi guys, here's my re-done post for my reminder card for the Quirky Craft's challenge. (Hopefully the computer bug I had eariler has gone!) We're sponsored by Bugaboo and Crafty Ribbons! and the challenge is... Baby It's cold Outside with a Quirky twist, there has to be a drink to warm you up somewhere on your creation! (A tiny cup/mug or a large one, it doesn't matter as long as it's there!)
Here's My card.  I've used Poppi-xmas-cocoa over my own back ground papers (HERE) using the digi as a PNG, then coloured with Promarkers. The mug has been 3D-ed although I've added the second straw so you can see it, then when I did the inside I added the spare penguin to the sentiment, so it looks like he's holding it.
No one won the little guessing game I did last week as no one entered, but I can tell you the answer to 'what was the colour/s used to colour the mug'... 'Poppy' and a dash of Pastel Blue!'
All the layers are mounted on gold mat card. I've also added, pearls, Stickles Glitter, gold peel off corners, punched out gold snowflakes. The larger little snowflake is plastic and was once part of a Christmas Tree ornament. (Throw nothing away!) The Merry Christmas ribbon is from DoCrafts. All the papers are by Pink Petticoat.
Inside, you can see where I've added that spare penguin. The freebie font is called, Curlz MT and you can Download it HERE or Google the name, (some sites charge)
New Followers!! Alicia Somers with a fabulous blog and tons of Scrap pages to look at taylor d scrap n craft review.
and  Darcy Schroeder from Crafting with Darcy is my 800th follower!! Which of course means I need to draw a 800th follower freebie!!!
That's it I think! Now all I have to tell you is shoot over to Quirky Crafts and join in!!! Don't forget, there has to be a 'drink' on the card somewhere!!! This is on timer...  Bye For Now! Hoping to add this to some...

Happy Birthday Deb!

It's my sis in laws birthday today, and seeing her life these days, like mine, is nothing but dogs, I thought I'd do her a doggy birthday card, instead of one with cats.
Here's the card. I've used four bugaboo doggy digi images, put them all together in MicroSoft Word, drew in a back ground, with a few hills and clouds, printed them out coloured it all in with my ProMarkers. Then all I had to do was to hunt out some 'doggy' digital backing papers.
These came from PaperCrafts Inspirations Magazine Issue 48...and seeing they're on the Christmas issue #120 now, well....it was a few years ago! I knew I had them somewhere, it just took me ages going through my computer, way way out the back! If a computer had a cellar, these were at the bottom of the dried up well in the cellar...
September I won $25 from Bugaboo for being their top referrer! So I picked a mixture of lovely digi's and all but one of these little dogs I chose especially for this card.
I've edged it in black and dark green card, added a black frame around it, to make it look more like a picture and of course.... I'm so boring, but I've 3D-ed the little terriers to make them pop out. Also added three pearls and some Stickles glitter.
The font is a freebie. it's called Arfmoochikncheez, download it HERE. (there's no numbers) I used the Word Art, it comes out so you can colour it in if you want to. I actually 'filled it in ' on the computer in pink. I think that's it! Thank you for stopping by! Hope to be joining in with some challenges, but I haven't linked them yet.... agh! time for bed... it's nearly time I was up!

Baby It's Quirky Well Cold Outside!

My goodness, where have I been? No blogging since Wednesday!?  I know! but it's been wet! Luckily the dogs didn't mind (although their owners hate it!)and we still had fun.... even though one was so full of joy it rolled in some poo.... a little white dog...in a big pile of poo. I'll say no more on that! And, I never did get round to finishing off those fish for last weeks Quirky Challenge, seen in Wednesday's post. I suddenly realised I hadn't printed out enough fish the wrong way round to do that 'thing' I've done before with acetate. Never mind, because there's a new challenge starting over on the Quirky Challenge. So get over there! It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme and she has chosen...
Baby It's Cold Out Side...
but, with a twist! She wants to see....projects about the colder months of the year, so think snow, ice, Autumn or Winter, and they must include a hot drink or two! (maybe even with a snifter of brandy!)
Our Sponsors this time are the fabulous  Crafty Ribbons, and the famous Bugaboo !
Here's my card. I've used this super cute snowman from our sponsors called Snowman Cocoa and of course I've coloured him with my Promarkers and 3D-ed him by chopping off his arm and his body as well as his head! Even the mug had its handle hacked off!
The blue snowy paper is mine own, the backing papers were freebies from a magazine. They're called GingerBread Lane by Jennifer Ellory. There was also die-cuts and stickers. (yay!) And if you'd like some more freebies by Jennifer go HERE to PaperCrafts Inspiration Magazine Website and also HERE! (you may have to login) Go to their Face Book page and join in to win a fabulous prize. To celebrate reaching 20,000 likes on Facebook, they are giving away an amazing luxury craft tote filled with papercraft goodies to one lucky winner! Go HERE
I  love hot chocolate with either a spoonful of Nutella or a Cadbury's flake (or both!) but this snowman's adding Marshmallows! What do you like to add? Brandy? Whisky? Lashings of cream and sprinkles?
I've added gems, heart brads, stars, Stickles Glitter, White Gell pen, Snowflakes peel offs on acetate, beads on a wire plus a real red pompom to his Santa hat. Inside I've left it blank but have done a bit of dry embossing!
The font is a freebie, it's called Violety Crumble, download HERE
As you can see on the sheet on the right, I started  the card off in Word. Printed all the digi's I needed, and my blue snowy sky made to fit, also added the sentiment under the digi, then printed it all out. So I'm sort of giving you uncoloured 'sneak peek' of my next card, the little penguin with the stripy mug, hopefully it will be  ready for next weeks reminder post.
A Change to win some tiny bottles filled with Gems and tiny stars as seen on last Wednesday's post. (Might not be the same) I've already coloured the mug (with the penguin,  with my Promarkers but, who can guess what colour Promarker/s  I've used to colour it with? Email or answer in the comments!!
You'll see the answer next Sunday! (I'll put the right answers if there is any, in a hat and pick one out) Okay, that's it! I'm not here so hoping the timer will work! I hope to add this to some....

What's On My Worktop??

Morning, Woywwers!  Thought I'd join in this week, not so much going on today... just two walks with the dawgs! (see some of them and one who stayed last week in post below!) Here's my desk this Wednesday... the bench....well....not too much going on there! and on the other side...today's freebie and  couple of things I've been doing, plus some Christmas ribbons and some tiny tiny bottles filled with gems, beads and stars. So cute I just had to buy them!

I was conned into joining Google + In stead of insisting I sign in with my name, a pop up would appear every time I tried to comment on certain blogs and Youtube (I have a few things on there) but last time it asked if I wanted to comment as Spyder's Corner... which  of course I clicked....and the next second  I was transported onto Planet Google+ never to return again! Anyway, let's hope I can comment on everyone's blog now! I really didn't want to join, as it seems to want to share everything with everyone.
Well, that's what's on my workdesk this week. Come and join in, just click over to Julia's Stamping Ground! Thanks for stopping by!
Tiny jars on top of a small Useful Box...so cute!!

Tuesday....T with Elizabeth

I couldn't join in with T on Tuesday with Elizabeth last week because of buzy-ness! But Hubby John has just handed me his home baked bread, (yes, he made it!) still warm, and a cup of tea...so...even though it's nearly tomorrow I thought I'd take a picture of it....along with the reason why I haven't been doing much blogging.... first, the bread and the cup of tea!Yum!!!

And now the reason I've been busy and not blogging....some tails and tales on Tuesday! Brontë (a Red Setter) stayed with us, I nipped into the shower and she wanted to come too... so I told her to 'go find John', who'd already gone to bed... moments later I came into the bedroom and there she was, asleep on my side....but someone else was also asleep on the other side of John....you can't see him.... and neither had Brontë, who is scared of cats!
  Jinx the Lodger cat! BOO!

Whoooosh!!  Brontë was gone!! You evil cat Jinxy!!!
Moments later she was soon snoring in my chair, no harm done.
Probably dreaming of the days fun she'd had  with Jumble...
 ....and Tommy

It's Bonfire Night here in the UK...so far...it's been very quiet! Happy T day!

Quirky Reminder Time! Make Us Laugh!

It's time to remind you about my challenge over on the Quirky Crafts Challenge blog. It's nice and easy...Make Us Laugh! We're sponsored by Crackerbox Palace who are very generously giving our winners some fabulous prizes, for first, second and third place!
Well, this is my second card, which went completely wrong! I've been using hubby's printer, as mine has three brand new ink cartridges and none of them will work! (Computer says no!) So, I press the button in my room and then nip down the hall just in time to catch his printer shooting my printed sheet out onto the floor! Only trouble is, it's nearly our of ink and instead of a nice pale blue watery background  .... it came out...pink!
I made the backing paper on the computer too, using the same fishy in different sizes, and added a big fish over the top, then round the edge of the paper added three more big fish but they all came out pink too with streaks through them.  (argh!) I thought it was a shame to waste him, so have re-coloured all the big fish with my Promakers. I've 3D-ed him, which meant cutting off fins and tails and also pulling out teeth!
The font I used is a freebie it's called 'Thinking of You' and you can download it HERE from Kevin and Amanda. I printed it as a wavy line. The yellow paper clip was at first helping to glue down the layers, but I like it, so it stayed! There isn't that many layers, I've just gone round the yellow and orange with a black pen.The lilac layer is actually coloured in with a Promarker. In side you can just see some Pink Petticoat stripy digital papers.
New Follower! Hi and a big (((Wave)))) to Bixi Sparkes....who's already following unless there's two of you! and Alicia Somers from Taylor'd scrap'n'craft review.blogspot.co.uk/  That's it! I'm not here, so I hope the timer works this week! Have a great crafty week! Thank you for stopping by!
