WOYW...Wednesday? Nothing!

Hello WOYWWers! Happy Halloween! It's taken me all week... but at last, after months, I have a tidy-ish craft room...of course the hall is full of  piles of crap, but I won't mention that!  Hubby says he's going to change the opening of my door, so I don't have to squeeze in between the thing on wheels and the shelves behind the door that stop it opening fully. Moved a few things. Not sure I like my little useful boxes under the shelf... might change that back. Pop over to Julia's blog, Stamping Ground! and join in with the biggest blog hop ever! Catch you later!!

That was short...where's Lyn and what have you done with her?

A Spooky Pumpkin

Found this little pumpkin freebie over on Forgotten Scraps, but hurry it may not be there for long! First I sliced a bit off the front of the card, so you can see the colours on the inside, only no matter what, it's quite hard to get the card to pose so you can see that! I've used up a lot of scrap paper making this  Halloween card. First I 3D-ed the pumpkin. Running out of silicone/gel glue, so I rummaged through my 'glue and sticky things' box and used that 'Stick It!' silicone glue I swore I'd never  use again as it bleeds through the card and leaves a greasy stain.. Hence the leaves and the pumpkin's nose looks splotchy.
Found my bat punch, only it wasn't a bat punch as such, it was a corner bat punch by Martha Stewart and was right in front of my nose all the time, (well, a little higher than the top of my head) hanging from my Ikea rod along the wall.
Freebie  Papers. The orange Spotty and the brown spiderwebs are from. Summer Times Designs by Summer Driggs Boo-tiful-night-kit. My ink is on its way out (again!) so the colours may not be quite the right shade. I put these two papers together in Word, added the pumpkin, plus another, so I could 3D it, then after printing it, coloured the pumpkin with Promarkers. I added the gold micro glitter on the pumpkin, hoping to hide the stain from the glue, but I think I've made it worse.
The Ghost/pumpkin/bats paper is from  is from the Bearly Mind's Store
I've edged everything with Tim Holtz, mowed lawn Distress Ink. The rest of the papers are PinkPetticoat.
The Font is a freebie. It's called JI Skookumchuck download it HERE or just Google the name.
I think that's it!  Thank you for stopping by! oops...nearly forgot... our lodger cat's real name is Brono...nope, still going to call him Jinxsy! Hoping to add this to some...

Tom's Card!

Here's a sneak peek of the Christmas card design, Tom, my son-in-law will be sending out to family and friends this year! I cleared a space on my messy craft room worktop big enough for Tom to have a play with some of the new crafty stuff he'd bought from a craft store on the way down to spend Sunday Afternoon  with us, yesterday. Some Dream Weaver Embossing paste, a Christmas tree stencil, some gold glitter, a packet of cards and two sheets of gold and silver Merry Christmas peel offs. Armed with my craft knife and cake pallet spreader, he  made this  fabulous embossed Christmas tree card! Download the freebie Chocolate box decorative font I used on the picture HERE

A GingerBread Friday Freebie From Bugaboo!

It's still just about Friday, so I've made this card with the latest Bugaboo Freebie. This lovely Gingerbread Pocket! I was hoping to enter it into their latest bingo challenge, hope I'm not too late! Anyway, I've chosen to do...'starts with P' (Pocket, Pudding, (on the paper) and Paper) 'Button' and 'Flock or Flower-Soft' (I've used white flower-soft)  and I've also done the other way, 'Starts with P', 'Sentiment', '3 or more papers,' which means I've also managed to do...'Flock or Flower-soft' 'sentiment' and 'brad' (the button is also a brad)
The Card. I've 3D-ed the gingerbread, coloured with ProMarkers. Added a bit of detail using a white gell pen and a holly sticker. Covered with backing paper from Forever Friends 6X6 'Cosy Christmas' pack, three different papers on the out side and on inside.Glitter card, Stickles glitter, gems, ribbon from DoCrafts, button brad from a set from Fizzy Moon Celebrations brads. I've added glitter to it. The Snow Flake Corner  Die-cut is by Memory Box. The little gingerbread men are from my stash, which I've had soooo long their sticky backs were no longer sticky. The gingerbread man  in the corner was a 3D sticky tag, (with two gingerbread men) soI pulled them apart, fixed one on the front and the other gingerbread man on the tag, inside the card, then just added off cuts of the same paper. Everything was edged with TM Lipstick red.
The Freebie Fonts. On the inside is called Pookie download it HERE and the sentiment on the front is a freebie font called  The Ginger House, linked it before. Download HERE.
That's it I think! I really hate this 'new blogger' as I've said before when it first changed I changed it back. It really is rubbish! It keeps typing in small even tho' I've pressed normal... I have to go into the HTML and change all the 'small' to normal after I've finished typing! That must be it!! Blogger is telling me once again I have no space for pictures...so I'm having to delete a few! Have a fabulous Weekend...I was going to have my hair cut tomorrow, but I chickened out! Thanks for stopping by!

WOYWW?# Do I win the messiest Prize?

Hi guys! Haven't been over to What's On Your Workdesk  for a few weeks.  Those who visit often will know why. We had another family bereavement, the third this year. My crafty room has been in a real mess for most of that time, so I thought I'd scare myself into tidying it up.... hoping to do a before and after picture...but where to start!?!  Well, just in case you can't tell...  these are the before pictures-I still haven't gotten around  to doing the 'after'.... although you could be mistaken in thinking that this is the  after, after the storm! So! There's no excuse, if you have a nice tidy craft room, why not show it off? Hop over to Julia's blog Stamping Ground and join in! There's one thing good that came out of taking these pictures... I can see my reading glasses!!! Oh Joy!

It's that Quirky Time again when I wonder if it really is Sunday or am I still dreaming and it's Monday morning and I've forgot to go to work... (I did do that last week!) Anyway!! We have a new challenge starting over on Quirky Crafts challenge blog, sponsored by Robyn's Fetish. Don't forget to read the post! Loads last time didn't and missed adding 'stuff' to their fabulous creations, so couldn't really be counted! This fortnight  it's Caro's turn to set the theme and she has chosen...
A.B.C. which means Anything But a Card using Autumn Colours!!
Here's my make.  I've done a bit of recycling and used a black bag I had some pressies in. Cut it down a bit, and then covered it with some orangey/browny Halloween papers (by Bearly Mine, a mixture of bought as well as freebies, and made a Trick Or Treat Bag. Find them,  HERE and here... here and here (although they may all lead to the same place) On the front of the bag I've added BearlyAPumpkin   by our sponsor, which is  on sale at the moment $2.50 now $1.63 (Not sure what that is in pounds) and some punched out Tags using up some scraps, one of those is a PinkPetticoat  paper and the Boo paper is by....ummmm? Linked it before.....here's a card I made using the Boo papers HERE and the freebie papers can be found HERE That should keep you busy for a little while!
I've added eyelets and eyelash wool to black cord handles and a little silver coloured metel clip to help keep it closed.
The Font is a freebie. It looks like bones and is called HeadHunter download it HERE
Hope my Trick or Treat bag gives you some ideas. For more just pop over to Quirky Crafts to see what the rest of the team has come up with!

A Frostie Freebie from Bugaboo!! (CLOSED)

Yay it's Friday, and here's my card using the  Bugaboo Friday Freebie! Isn't he just too cute!?! So, don't sit there reading this, get over to Bugaboo and grab this cute snowman before he melts!!
My Card...Freebie  'Snowman Star' digi from Bugaboo HERE. (**If you're coming later, you'll find a different freebie here now) I've 3D-ed  him and the star, coloured with Promarkers. Added micro glitter. The papers are by Raspberry Road Designs Christmas Collections inside and out and the element 'Jingle bells' is from the Raspberry Road Christmas Accessories CD are both freebies from Quick Card Made Easy Magazine last month.
The sentiment was done on the computer. The shape is the same shape I've used inside the card, I just cut it out using my BigShot (with the words already typed on the paper)and then moved the die-cut up until it made that shape.
I've also added a gold peel off corner, gold peel off snowflakes and some eye-lash wool.
The font is a freebie, it's called KG Eyes Wide Open (I've linked it before I think) download it HERE.
The snowy paper behind the snowman I made on the computer and you can download that HERE free too! I put the snowy paper and the PNG Snowman into Word. Fiddled with the size, put the  snowman over the snow/sky,  copied another snowman, cut off his arms and the scarf behind him, then fixed over the top of the first using silicone glue. The tiny holly was made by a tiny Woodware punch.
That's it! Thank you for stopping by! Off to add this to some...

A Lilly Freebie From Bugaboo, freebie papers and font

First, sorry I haven't had time to do a freebie just lately, will do one as soon as possible. In the meantime, here's this weeks Bugaboo Freebie. I had it before so I meant to sneak it out early, but put tomorrows date by mistake, which is why it's only just posted! You can download this freebie all week here. *No Longer a freebie... but the link still goes to Bugaboos latest freebie.
The card. First I  played with the PNG image in PaintNet, as there was a tiny bit of the clear background in the middle where the leaves cross over, still white and not clear....(I know what I mean!) so once I'd made that bit clear too, I coloured it in PaintNet. Took the coloured digi into Word and laid it over the background paper. Freebie downloads from BearlyMine. But then went back into PaintNet with the background paper  and used the colour dipper thingy so I could colour the pocket using the same shade of blue as the background... (There's probably an easier way, but I haven't worked it out yet!) Then....I?? oh, added the 'With Love' on the pocket of one of them. Now this next bit is different ...I printed it all out on découpage paper. (same a brochure paper, 128gsm, pack of 12 from Do-Crafts, which I bought £1.19 from Trago Mills (Cornwall) when I was down that way a few weeks ago) Cut it all out, fixed it together using 3D foam pads.
The digi is the same size as it comes. I haven't made it smaller or larger, just to make sure I kept all three images the same size, as one of them, (with the sentiment) wasn't copied. (Of course I could've just copied three images of the digi with the sentiment and printed that out, but I didn't. (head filled with sticky dots) Anyway, I fixed them so that the leaves curled a bit and the flowers weren't directly over the flowers below them. Added the completed decoupage to silver miri board and then to blue card, and then added a white insert.
The Font is a freebie. It's called  Ancestory SF download it HERE or Google the name.
In my first attempt at this, I coloured the images with Promarkers. It wasn't too bad, (the Promarkers do not bleed through the découpage paper) but, the pocket being such a large area to colour, looked as if I'd used water colour paints. Not 100% pleased with the printable découpage paper. The printed ink colour has bled a little in the centre of the lillies where the yellow meets the black but maybe it would be okay printing out a 'real' decoupage sheet rather than a home made one! That's it! One card made entirely with freebies! Thank you for stopping by. Hoping to add a few...

Purrrfect Pumpkin

Here's my second pumpkin card of the week. Another little Halloween card made using Bugaboo's Halloween peeker cat ~also seen hiding in this scene here too!
I've 3D-ed the pumpkin, coloured everything with Promarkers. Papers are all Pink Petticoat. (Sorry for using the same colours again...but I like them!)
I've used  Black card first, Woodware fish skeleton punch, Martha Steward cobweb boarder punch, Xcut Nestling Die-cut, black card-candi, purple and black ribbon and some carpet non-slip stuff! All stuck together using photo and silicone glue.
Click to make bigger
The outside Font is a freebie. It's called Skullphabet. Download it HERE
The two fonts on the inside  are also freebies, I've linked before. The words 'Happy Haunting' has been done using Head Injuries download HERE  And the little Bat and Pumpkin come from a DingBat font (so cute!!)  called  Evilz  download HERE
Since I've been having to use the 'new look blogger format, the 'normal' sized font is tiny and I have to use large...is large the new normal now? Wish it wasn't... That's it!  Short and sweet for once! Hope I have time to add this card to some...

A Turkey's not Just For Christmas! (Bugaboo Freebie)

My two month sprint (it did go fast) stint as a Bugaboo Guess Designer ended at the end of September, but I still wanted to make this card using this weeks,  Freebie Friday image for their Anything Goes Challenge! You'll find Turkey Pumpkin over in the  Bugaboo Store! Especially for those of you over the pond, in the USA,  celebrating your Thanks Giving next month, this fabulous Turkey, will be just the job! Us over here in Britain could save him for Christmas, or send him to family living over there for their Thanks Giving, as  we don't do thanks giving here,  I should think finding a card to send would be near-on impossible...(well, there's always MoonPig I suppose!)  You can download him  free all week here. There's more to hunt out in the store
Here's my card.  I've coloured with Promarkers and 3D-ed the pumpkin.
The papers behind the Turkey  are from Crafts-On-The-Net, and are actually Easter papers. It's a Pdf file but I've squished it down very small! You might not find these, but there's loads more!  The main backing papers in and  outside the card are freebies by  Shery k designs
The Ribbon came with a CardMaking and PaperCrafts Magazine some time ago.
I've also added a witch's head at the bottom. Well, there she was, bodiless on my desk, already coloured, left over from a card I made a few weeks ago HERE.  Didn't want to waste her, and it looks as if she's saying the sentiment, which is...Thank Goodness! Turkeys are not just for Christmas...and good to go any time with a nice white wine. Happy Holidays!
The Font I've used is a freebie. It's called Troutkings BTN click to go to the link or Google the name.

I've used my new Nesting Die-cuts by Xcut, which I bought while we were away,  in Trago Mills £3 cheaper than at home. I think that's going to be a very useful shape. Like the fact too, they come with a magnetic storage mat.  I've also added, black Card Candi, a dash of white gel pen and some cutlery brads I'm sure are by Woodware.

It's A Magical Quirky Moment!

Evening! It's time for Quirky Craft's to have another challenge!! Thank you to everyone who joined in the last one. Loved your monsters!  This time it's Diane's turn to set the theme and she wants to see something...
 Magical!
so we'd like to see, Fairies, Wizards, any Magical Creature you can think of ! AND!!  just to make it a bit harder...
Stars, Glitter and Silver on your entries!
Very important, because if Diane can't see stars, glitter or silver on your creation, it won't be counted!!
This week we are sponsored by...
Here's my first card.  I've used one of my favourite  Stitchy Bear images The SteamPunk Fairy. Coloured her with mostly lilac and lavender Promarkers, Used bits of my Memory Die-cut, PinkPetticoat starry backing paper, black and silver card candi,   purple gems, mirco glitter on her wings, stickles glitter on the edges of the ribbons and the papers, black card, silver miri board and black and purple ribbon!
The Font on the front is called Spinstee and the font on the inside of the card is calledKnight Templar.

My second card, I've used a wizard cat from Stitchy bear's  Jacare's Halloween Bundle HERE
I'm really not too happy with how this one turned out! Everything that could go wrong went wrong. The Promarkers bled over the lines, the glue made the silver board frizzle up. The ink ran out on the pumpkin papers and I dropped the micro glitter, so it covered  the whole card! And...I should've added some black to the card at the beginning, but forgot and it really does need more black... I think I might do it again! (better!)
I did a bit of silver embossing on black card with  stamp and ink (haven't done any stamping for ages!) for the corner embellishment, but all papers  and fonts are the same as above. I'm not here at the moment, so this is on timer. Please excuse any woobleness wobbliness and spelling mistakes. The new blogger format is really rubbish! The pictures jump all over the place! Thank you for stopping by. Hoping to add this Fairy card into a few...

Thank you

To everyone who has called in, sent emails, hugs, commented and even sent cards and prayers, wishing myself and by family every kind of love and comfort after my dad suddenly passed away last Tuesday, I would love to say a very big Thank you! You are all amazing. Things are not going to be, and haven't been the same for most of this year but in 'Blogland' I've always found it to be a magical place where people are very kind and wish everyone the happiness they dream of and deserve. Thank you for following, Thank you for joining in with some of my silly games and challenges. Thank you for liking some of my not so good freebies and some that weren't too bad! Hopefully I'll be back to 'normal', if I ever was 'normal', as soon as possible..
Some of you have asked about Jinxy our lodger cat. He is still with us, it's been nearly a year now. I think he's decided...he is home

Dad passed away last night.

Get Well Dad

My dad had to go in to hospital while we were away last week, (small op) and of course, he's had a heart attack. (How many times has this happened to us this year? 3.) Doing okay at the moment. So to keep busy while we nipped home this afternoon I made him a Get Well card...only hope the nurse isn't a 'dragon'!
Go HERE to find the free blue background paper I've used behind the Bugaboo dragon, Clyde.
I have it saved in my PaperCraft Inspiration Mag downloads folder as iblue025, Google that and it turns up on a few Flickr pages, also as a webpage background, so I should think it's ok to share.
I know, the card opens the wrong way (shhh!) no one will notice!

I've Scene it, Mummy! (And some Freebie Words)

Hi bloggers! At last I'm home and in my craft room! It was Great to come back and find I'd won or came in the top three of a few challenges with some of my GDT Bugaboo cards! But!!! My Bugaboo GDT thingy has come to an end :( although I still thought I'd add a card I didn't have time to put on the timer, it's one of last weeks new releases from Bugaboo. It's called Scene-it Mummy-scene and at the moment it's $2.50 instead of $5! (not sure how much that is in English money though! Go HERE to see what the DT created!
I've added a Halloween poem I made up about a hundred years ago, which I came across while clearing out the attic a few months back, typed it out loads of times, scanned it into the computer and printed it out. I've added it at the bottom of this post as a freebie for you. It might come in handy!  The 'Boo' freebie paper I've already linked a little while back HERE, when I used them with one of my own digi's on a Halloween card. (I used the Halloween words on that card too)
I've coloured the grave yard scene with Promarkers, mostly greys and purples, bit of green and for once, I've used a purple rectangle card, instead of a square one. Then I've edged it with some Stickles 'Starry Night' glitter.
As  I've said before, I came back to find Blogger had at last acted on it's threat to change from the old format to the new one. I guess most of you have been using it for months, but I kept changing it back! I still don't like it!!
