It's Wednesday already!! And (dot dot dot) My craft room is still tidy-ish!! (Well, there's a bit of mess on the floor) and, no, I'm not going to show you. I'll just take a few really close up shots, from over head or sideways, which are bound to be blurry coz I'm short and the bench isn't!
Been clearing out the attic this week so 'What's On My Workdesk this Wednesday are a few things I found up there, which I made years ago when my girls were first at school. Word books, to help them with their reading and spelling, seeing I'm so rubbish at both! I made loads of these, the teacher kept some of them. The idea was, if they go to the right book they can find the words to make a sentence. (secretly of course I really made them for me, so I could sneak a look when a five year old asked me how to spell abominable snowman!) Every thing's covered in sticky back plastic and there's slots for the words to slip into.
The animals (before ProMarkers) were made to stick onto a plastic covered board to help build a story about a farm. (stating the obvious there really)My Computer!! Luckily it's better now, thank you to everyone who wished it well last week. But on saying that, the add-on hard drive is making a bubbling noise not unlike an old hot water pipe, as I type... er, not sure if that's good or bad!
So apart from what you see, a bit of glitter, embossing power a knitted snowman and other 'bits' left from making a card, that's it from my desk this week. Want to join in?? Then pop over to The Stamping Ground and say hi to Julia, queen of all things woyww!
Thanks for stopping by!
Sorry you missed the one day freebie, but he was here for three! Watch out for the next one!
Thank you, Lyn!
ReplyDeleteI don´t have a craft room, but last night I was dreaming and I saw myself in a messy craft room... when I woke up I thought: "although I don´t have a special place, that's the way it will look if I do" (LOL)

ReplyDeleteI was saying how wonderful you are to recognise the needs of children and meet them, so many adults think they just know what's best for Kids without ever asking them.
come to think of it, those kind of adults treat everyone that way ,
hmm I think the word is patronising, you don't patronise you enable.
Love those word books (wish you had been the mummy of one of my pupils) thanks for the free digis- love Roody. Anne x
ReplyDeleteI love the animals on your desk .. so cute ...and the word books are brilliant. I think a simple version might help my foster grandson who is thought to be autistic. He has just gone to main stream school and is working so hard with help ...bless him.
