Cards made By Emma

Over the last couple of weekends my crafty mess, I mean, room, has been invaded by mischievous elves, aka, Tom and Emma (s-i-l and daughter) making their Christmas Cards. So I took a few pictures. Emma likes her card's nice and simple and cute. (adding backing paper is very rare) Tom is still finishing his off. Here bought a fireplace stamp from Ebay and is still busy cutting them all out. It's a master project! So here's some of Emma's finished Christmas cards...
Penguins and Little Santa's on Hammered deckle edged cards

Little Penguins on little cards...

...and more little Santa's on Purple Papermania cards. The backing papers used here came from a 'Christmas Paper Pack' (6x6 100 sheets) by Crafts-Too and Woodware punches cut out the oval shapes and the tiny snowflakes.

A Bit of Polar Bear Sparkle

I thought I'd use one of my own digi for a change! And here he is. Polar Bear with Pressie. Very quick simple card, not too much going on. I thought it might end up in the bin, but I think it turned out ok in the end, although I'm not too sure about the red Stickles glitter around the edge or his blue nose, but Tom had my Black Promarker!! (He's brought it back, and he and Emma have been finishing off their Christmas cards this afternoon)
I'm not quite sure why, but when I first printed the digi out over some blue spotty paper the clear background PGN image didn't work the way I thought it would, or had done in the past and just printed it out normally, so the image was still mostly hidden by the back ground paper.
Then I remembered I usually do this printing paper and digi together in My Craft Studio. (or similar) So that's what I did, (see small brain, I always forget things, I need a post-it note stuck on my forehead!) Anyway, it worked the way it always does, with the image printed over the blue paper as you see in the picture and this time they came out with the spotty back ground behind the digi but leaving the png digi still white, so he can be coloured with ProMarkers or anything you fancy.
The picture above right, is not the way I wanted it and on the left side, is the way I wanted it, each with an extra 'white' digi to use as a 3D. (It's taken me years but I'm slowly getting there!)
So that's what I did. When you want to do a bit of 3D-ing with digi's make sure you 'copy' all you need at the same time, as you'll never get it the same size again. well, I don't! (Clever people of course, use the sizing box...)
Not really Christmasy papers, as it has butterflies and dragonflies down one side, but I liked the spottiness, for a back ground, thought it looked a bit snowy! It was saved on my computer in My Craft Studio file as pdfpaper1 (which didn't mean anything) so after a 'search' found they were originally saved and came from my Robyn Fetish file and found HERE in their store. Polka Dot Fantasy. ( $1.75 for 8 different papers)
As you can see I printed out another Polar Bear the same size onto white paper, coloured him with Promarkers, cut him out (minus his pom pom) then fixed him over the top of the image printed on the blue paper, with silicone glue to give him a 3D look.
It looks like the rectangle behind the polar bear is fixed on too, but no, it's all printed straight on to the background papers.
The font is a freebie. It's called Snowpersons (there's little snowmen's heads on the letters!) You can download it HERE (or just Google Snowmen free font) I've added eye-lash wool, Christmas Red and Diamond Stickles glitter, and red gems on the snowflakes.
I came across a few challenges, I wanted to add him to, so I hope I'm not too late for some of them! (Think I might be!) That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!

Snowy and A link to Debbies Freebies

Just a very quick card made with my favourite Penny Black Snowman, Snowy, and to remind you it's my challenge over on Quirk Crafts Challenge Blog and it's SNOW! Very easy!! I stamped Snowy with black ink and heat embossed him with clear embossing power with glitter, so he sparkles a bit. I needed to make five quick cards, but, this is probably too quick! Not much going on, so I'm not very happy with it. Which is why I punched out some tiny snowflakes to see if they would liven it up a bit...no, not really! And, for the first time in ages I stamped and embossed the sentiment, straight onto the card, and you've guessed, it went wonky, so that's why there's a punched out sentiment, covering the mistake and trying to hide a heat cured corner!!
The Papers were a freebie. I've saved it as Debbie Moore Christmas Papers #8.....but where did I get them from??? I can't remember! While I was searching I found another link to some more of Debbie Moore's Freebies papers and decoupage sheets, so, if you haven't already found them, I hope you find them useful!

Rocking Horse Christmas Card For Mason

Just made this little Christmas card, which is going off to some one very small called Mason Rain, using Craft Creations blank card, Scrapbook paper (SR155P Christmas Trees) and the little Decoupage Rocking Horse Mice. Aren't they cute!
Hoping to enter this card into the Craft Creations Challenge. You have to use their 'stuff'. But!! I've missed the Christmas Challenge and the next challenge says, anything but Christmas! (bother)
I've had the little Mices for ages and have been dying to use them. All my cards come from Craft Creations, (left over form the 'wedding' three years ago!!) All I needed was some nice Christmasy paper, which my local, (not very Crafty) shop had!
The decoupage sheet also came from them and was made for a 'longer' card as there's a few bits and pieces I didn't use.
Tip...only use a sharp craft knife to make sure you have nice clean cut for all the little fiddly bits. I was careful to cut them all out, only to forget to cut out the tiny bit by the reins and didn't notice until I had the silicone glue speared on the back! So a bit of cheating, I dabbed that bit of white with a pale yellow ProMarker to match the back ground (bet yer couldn't tell!)
Always worth a trip over to Craft Creations, and subscribe to their newsletter as they do have freebies, and everyone likes freebies!
New blog background was doing silly things ago this morniing, (having just a small box in the centre. I played with the word 'center' in the code (something I'd never try a year ago!) and it put the pattern back in the right place by repeating the pattern, but was still hard to read the posts, so once again, I've changed it. It's quite hard to find something not too busy with a black background. I think it's time I learn how to do my own! A nice lot of spider webs would be great!

WOYWW Pile It High!! (anywhere)

Oh!!! Good Morning woyww'ers, sorry if you're confused, I linked a bit wrong this morning! (Lack of sleep!) I seem to have two What's On Your Workdesk Wednesdays. Something to do with the timer and thinking I'd lost my post! This is the right link now! (I think!)
My crafty space was tidy for about five minutes Sunday Morning, hubby even said so!! I should've taken a picture then!
Here's a sweep of my Bench.... Whisper Pens out for the first time in years...
Yesterdays cold tea
and turning round for another sweep very carefully as I stood on a chair to take these, I'm not that tall, here's my window desk, taken about 1.45 this morning...
I must throw that old tin of fake 'snow' away! ((it's so old it's rusty! The tin not the snow...it still works!! I just tried it!))
So you can guess I'm probably still in bed, if I actually went to bed...if not....I'm still typing this! As you can see, this week, I'm using the 'pile it high' method... instead of my usual 'push it back until it falls on the floor', style...

More cups of old cold tea...

So, want to join in??? Take a picture. Hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and link your blog! Bye for now, my bed is calling to me...
Actually...I've just got up... breakfast is calling to me now...bacon sandwich...bacon sandwich... (you'll get porridge and like it!) Hopefully I've sorted out the link...

Here's the card on my bench I posted Sunday/Tuesday, a few wanted to see a close up!
Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW? (The wrong link)Pile it high...

So, want to join in??? Take a picture. Take the RIGHT link and hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground ! Bye for now... *blush*
