It's WOYWW Post 725 ....My First One In Months

I hadn't realised  that it's been  soooo long with me not posting anything. Not even on WOYWW!? Hadn't even realised it was Wednesday!! S0 thought it was about time I did post something. (This might be long!) You see, there's been sooooo much going on. The Boiler leaked making a nice  palebrown patch on the bathroom ceiling. The cable out to Hubbie's shed was in danger of being pulled down by  next doors wonky fence, and was reasting on my rather large Jasmine. So I spent hours cutting the cable out of the Jasmine, which is now, just a branchy stump. 😕

Then I reversed my van into a low wall, just a little bump but on the good side, it only took a weekend to fix, but then, on Christmas Day evening going home from a lovely Christmas time with family, a girl on a motorbike swerved across the road straight in front of me before even getting to the traffic lights, causing the new car to be smashed in on the passenger side.

I filled up the van with the greenery from the Jasmine, plus garden waste that wasn't taken, only to be told by the man at the tip gate, 'can't come in here, you're in a van.' Unforturnetly, vans pay £16 for a permit...(which I still haven't got by the way!!) and the car, was away being fixed for nearly three months!

Googly eyes for WOYWW ATC's Paints for...?

The lights in the garden, pond and garage kept fusing, so can't use the freezer. Then sadly Mr Jinx passed away and then....well...never mind, but let's just say, I have now been sent a panick alarm to press as I was confronted in Tesco Car park by said young lady four months after the accident, and her mother... with lots of f words, very scary... saying it was all my fault and finishing off with, 'we'll be round your house!'   So, now...I have an alarm to press if they ever come near me with instuctions to dial 999 straight away.

What the postie just brought.
The next problem is... John's bikes...they're too heavy for me...so how on Earth do I get them to  an MOT centre?  Their batteries are probably flat anyway...

So! I'm here! typing this and....wel-l-l, I've tried my best to jiggle my crafty space about...really wish the walls were made of rubber so I could squeeze one more thing in! (My dolly trolly is in the bedroom at the moment)

I'm ok when I know that the things I've got, have a home but what do you do with new stuff, stuff you've never tried before?? Where there is definitely nowhere to put it/them!  I know....I should use up some of my scraps...or throw them out....the paper/card in the 'Darkened Corner' has been evicted out to hubbie's shed! as I have a small bookcase that just fits in there so  much nicer, (going to paint it and cover it in something steampunky I think, where, I'm hoping to keep a few of my newbie goodies. (Should be here any minute!)

Only half the card left
I've been watching 'Ceri The Crafter' on YouTube all these months and decided I'd have a go at Gelli Printing. At last I now know what Mod Modge is for (although I call it Modge Podge) I had an unopened jar for more than a year, and now, after only a few weeks...it's nearly empty!
Mod plodged with tissue

Pictures show what my bench looks like now but I have soooo many things in my head I wanna do, I don't know where to start, I mean??? What do you do with gel medium, mine's white, but I think I need a clear one??   and there's heavy, regular and soft...the mind boggles... well, mine does. One more thing, since Jinx passed, the little cat that lives at the bottom of my garden, who used to look in through the window and watch Jinx getting cuddles, has now been brave enough to come in and meow (very loudly) for food. Slowly she's letting me touch her, but she hisses and spits and runs away. There's a boil on her head that need looking at! (or not, ew!)   I try my best to brush her as her fur is a bit matted. Her owner has popped a box of cat food over the fence but says as soon as she sees them she runs off again. She's about the same age as Jinx, 17, so no spring chicken....not that I would be feeding a chicken cat food  and Dreamies although, did you know, a chicken will scoff down a live mouse, if given the chance! Well that's it from me...a bit of a long one....and I'm soooo late, but I have been away ages. John is now buried very close to his dad and uncle. I didn't know where I should put him, and while I was watching Ceri The Crafter on You Tube one of Johns video's popped up...He was talking to the camera about putting down the Christmas Wreaths....talking about the church and how you can  just see the pubs they used to visit through the trees. This is odd too. The family in the next row had saved a plot just above John's dad and uncle...which they no longer wanted, so??  That's where John is now. Fate or what?  https://youtu.be/8eu694LAwOQ

That's it! Yes...I'll do a freebie....later! OOh!! Door bell's just gone, that'll be my new Gelli Press whatknot!! (That's why there's paints waiting) Have a Happy WOYWW! Thank you for stopping by!

ps.the little cat, sneaked into the living room...snoozing on one of Jinx's blankets...bless her! She's deaf so she's not aware I'm this close.

  1. Lyn, I have thought of you and prayed for you often over the months. What a wonderful, if accident full, post. As for people getting nasty, scary indeed. I have had an unused gel plate for ages , it’s a bit like blank page syndrome- but I will use it! What are you using Mod Podge for - as in what projects? It was something I used to use all the time as my main glue. The only problem I had with it was if two surfaces were together they stuck. I lost several projects because of this. Someone advised me to paint it over with water based varnish, which seemed to do the trick, but I don’t use it now. I was so upset over the ruined projects. She is a pretty little cat. Not fun to try and get hold of her for her abscess though.

I didn’t know chickens would eat a dead mouse 😳 sending you much love. If you would like an ATC just send me your address. Happy WOYWW. Angela #16

I have been thinking of you in this stressful time and am glad that you’re doing well despite all the terrible accidents and poor Mr Jinx. I’m also glad you’re doing a bit of crafting, keeping busy helps.

  4. So pleased to see you Lyn, what a time you've been having. I'm sure we are all guilty of having too much stuff for sure and finding places to store them. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x8x
