Reminder. Quirky Crafts Christmas Challenge!

I surprise, or maybe that should be scare myself sometimes, 'specially when I (look in the mirror..?) No, manage to get a card finished!
It's been soooo wet this week, Hubby has Man Flu, I've had another one of those scans, well it's been a year, fingers crossed I'm not back in Hospital like last Christmas Eve. We also have dogs staying and they all got very muddy! ... then the tumble drier broke down, (Not that we use it to dry the dogs!) Luckily, even with man flu, hubby mended it! but then spilt his red wine all over my papers! Never mind.
So, to cover myself, just in case I haven't finished my card....(I'm typing this before I've finished it..) I might add a little thing I made last year to either hang on the tree, or act as table place names using a Bugaboo digi image.
Anyway, the challenge is easy! Any Thing Christmas.
Come and join in over on Quirky Crafts, with my Christmas Challenge. We're also calling for some new members for our Design Team. You can either add DT to your entry when you join in the challenge or send Cazzy an email.(Details over on Quirky)
Right. Here's my card for this weeks reminder. (It's finished!) I've gone blue. (well, it has suddenly got cold!)
This time I've used Mixie from That Crafty Place.  I printed her out a couple of times after I changed her to a PNG, then scanned in a bit of the blue snowflake paper and placed her over the top of it (Saves colouring in the back ground). I've mounted all the backing papers on silver mirri card, added matching Stick-on Ribbons, tiny cardboard letters, loads of Stickles Glitter, white eye-lash wool, peel-offs, and tiny gems.
All the papers, ribbons and those little round diecut letters come from a set called Winter Wonderland by TrimCraft/Dovecraft. (There's also tags and tiny shaker toppers too, but I've had them for years so they might not be that easy to find now but look out for their new Winter Wonderland designs.  (Must get me some!)
I've also added some peel-off stars and snowflakes. (I've cheated a bit, where you can only see half a snowflake, I've cut it in half. (No one will know!) and it does mean, if you only have two and you want four...  (obviously you only get to see half but it does save a few crafty pennies)
I decided to only use a few different ProMarker blues to colour my fairy, then added the Stickles to give her loads of Christmas sparkle, I've also 3D-ed the frilly bit of her dress so it pops out a bit.
Hoping to join in with some challenges; every week I think this but by the time I find a spare hour, I've usually fallen asleep!  That's it I think! Thanks for stopping by!! Always lovely to hear from you!

Merry Happy Quirky Christmas!

Happy, Merry? I never know what to say...I think I usually go with Happy New Year and then, it has to be Merry Christmas! Anyway, get your Christmas creations over to Quirky Crafts Challenge blog and join in my challenge, Any Thing Christmas.  The Challenge started yesterday, but as usual, I'm running very late...well, only one day! Perhaps if I hint loud enough Santa will bring me a new computer and printer!! (Ones that like each other and don't fight!!)
I added an oldie  creation of mine last night using a Bugaboo image to the Quirky Blog, but have just managed to load up my new creation.
Here it is.  I've used Gift Giving Cedric from one of our sponsors Digital Delights. He's quite cute, isn't he!
I finally managed to print out four of him, my computer and printer just would not work most of last week, so hubby got the sledge hammer out... Anyway, I coloured him (The elf, not hubby) with Promarkers,(I found them!!) and then cut him up so I could 3D him. (I've now got a new tube of silicone glue... I wonder how long it will last before it all goes solid!?) I've added some extra stick-on presents, loads of Stickles Glitter, red gems and a bit of holly as well as a snowflake button and ribbons. The papers were free from a crafting mag. They're called 'Me to You'  I've layered everything on to green card.
The sentiment was done on the computer. The font is a freebie. It's called Curlz MT. just Google it and you'll find it somewhere. (Better not link it, I get moaned at!)
I'll add a picture of the inside later as I've added a pocket to hide Christmas tokens or money, but didn't have any... right...that's it for now...must go take out more dogs!!! Here's some of them I'm walking this afternoon! Go and 'LIKE' my page!! Bye for now! xx

Going Crafty with a Quirky Feather....again!

I actually finished this card about 6o'clock yesterday morning... found the camera and surprise surprise, the batteries worked... but there was no SD card in it, and the camera's memory only allows you to take three pictures. (How annoying is that!) But, believe it or not, (and you wouldn't if you could see the mess I made making the last card) I found a SD card under a Very Useful Box in my messy X-Craft room.
So here I am, only a day late (two days now!) this time to join in with Quirky Crafts latest challenge reminder, 'Put A Feather in it' or something like that. Still plenty of time to enter.
We are sponsored by, the lovely and fabulous
CRAFTY RIBBONS so there's loads of fabulous prizes!
Here's my second card... told you it was better than the first one (posted below)...well, I think it is! Still a bit late with the post, but I am so busy with life, dogs, bathroom refits and other things I can never find time. (Which I've said about a million times!)
I found these penguins by chance, already coloured and mounted on silvery card- (still haven't found where I put my Promarkers) -waiting to be used, so all I had to do was find a nice lilac card to  match.
I mounted everything on silver holographic miri card, added white eye lash wool, tiny clear/silvery gems, silver peel off snowflakes and a Merry Christmas.
The feathers are purple too, but they look blue in the photo, as do those little flower buds. (who said, 'the camera never lies'?) I dabbled loads of Stickles Glitter glue over certain bits to make them stand out.
I've lined the inside of the card with the same silver card and lilac papers, giving it a bit more weight so the card doesn't keep slidding down, or as I like to say, stops it doing the splits!
I think that's it... Don't forget to pop over to Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog and join in with anything crafty as long there's a feather!! Easy!! Thank you for stopping by.

Going Crafty with a Quirky Feather

Okay.... it's nearly midnight, (two weeks ago) I'm hunting for something that I may've printed out years ago so I can join in, as Design Team members are meant to do, with the current Quirky Crafts Challenge. It's easy, all you have to do is add a feather to your master-piece.
As I've said before....I've no craft room as such...unless you count the pile of boxes in the hall, the bedroom, the iron board in the living room, the mess in what was my craft room and the place where my old (steam driven) computer is balancing now. I also own a printer that hasn't printed properly for over a year, I'm in search of  a camera, which most likely if I find it, will only have a battery life of about 10 seconds (or no SD card)...but I'm optimistic...and now, please forgive my smelling, my spell-check doesn't wok. Shoot!!
Shoot again! I've just realised... where the hell am I going to find a feather at this time of night? Hubby remarks he knows where there's a whole load of them...his pillow. Night night.
So... now by the glow of our outside security lights (which come on whenever our cat, Mr Jinx walks by)  I have found, a card, some glue, some backing papers with feathers and some with Christmas parcels in pink and green, (so that's now become my colour theme) I've also found a printed out Bugaboo coloured in Snowman!! (which is lucky because I can't find my Promarkers)
Week Later. Oops...me thinks I missed last weeks challenge, but my card is now finished. (Five minutes ago) I'm feeling so guilty, Sunday afternoon, after walking dogs,  I attempt to make card number two. Great, I find some more Bugaboo digi's already printed and coloured. Yay! Can't find the sillycone glue.(remember, my spell checker isn't working so that's how I spell it until I can find the glue... still haven't found it. This means I can't do 3D. I have foam pads, but the sticky has gone they're so old! Tip...Buy  when you need them, and use them up!
Well.... here's the first card. I added anything I found, odd bits and pieces really. Pop over to Quirky Crafts and join in... there's still a week left! Anything crafty, just add a feather! Now all I have to do is clear up the mess I made making it! Second card will be here...soon! (I think it's better tan this one) Both will be over on the Quirky Blog sometime soon. (That'll surprise them!!) Thank you for stopping by!!
