Quirky well Spice Up Your Life with Colour Girl!!

The next challenge started over on The Quirky Crafts Challenge blog on Sunday- so I'm a bit late! (I had no ink!) This week it's Monica's turn to set the theme and she has chosen...
Spice Up Your Life With Colour- Girls!
The Design Team  are using the files from our sponsor The Cutting Cafe  so that means we want to see lots of colour and girlie things girls! (and guys, if you wanna join in too!)
This is right out of my comfort zone, seeing the last foot wear and clothing I bought were a pair of waterproof trousers and walking boots, designed especially for long walks with dogs in the wind and rain!! (but my boots have got red laces and the trousers some purple detail!)
Here's my card... I decided, after much thought! to make a 'shop' card and then add the little dresses and handbags to it!  I coloured it all using Promarkers. The 'Shop' sign comes from a sentiment (Shop Til You Drop) The sign 'Girls Only' and of course the dresses/ handbags are all from our sponsor The Cutting Cafe
There's a little bit of a shine to the window and door of the card as I've used recycled acetate to act as 'glass'.
Inside I've used papers from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine from waaaaay back
The card also has a back to it... which you'll see on Wednesday as I thought it would make a 'different' Wednesday Freebie! There's also another sentiment from Cutting Cafe inside.
That's it  I think! Thank you for stopping by, even though I've been a terrible blogger lately, there's just not enough hours in the day and we were one short this weekend when our clocks went forward...Sorry the cards a bit late, I'll still be adding to Sundays DT examples over on the Quirky Craft Challenge Blog even though I only finished it Monday night! just in case I have time to join in with a few...

Quirky's Quirky Cupboard Reminder!

I'm a bit late tonight to join in with the reminder challenge over on Quirky Crafts. The theme is, cupboards, and shelves and things like that! In the week Cazzy reminded me, 'we hadn't used the lady' supplied by our wonderful Sponsors, Crackerbox Palace... and I thought...er?? How am I going to use a picture of a lady if it's a cupboard challenge? So I put her in it... well why not, she's not going to complain! (oops, update, Cazzy said, 'Lyn, don't use the Lady..." well, when you think about it, that makes sence! So....no body look at the lady!) Right...onwards and upwards...
Here's my card. I've used the same cupboard as last week plus the lady...(which you mustn't look at) You've heard of the old woman who lived in a shoe? Well, this is the lady that lived in a cupboard. I did have a few sentiments typed out ready to go on the front... one was...."After drinking from the little bottle labelled 'Drink Me'.. .Alice couldn't get out of the cupboard." the other was..."Mary loved her new cupboard so much.....she moved in!"  And one more..."No one ever found Lucy's hiding place....they were too busy eating her birthday cake."
The frame of the cupboard, one drawer, one door and the teapot and doily are sort of 3D-ed, although I've squashed them down a bit too much.
The card is made so you could if you wanted to, use the back or the inside as the front...
I've added gems, ribbon, stickles glitter, ric-rac, flowers, (tiny ones with plastic centres and a larger one with a metal brad as the centre) plus a die cut corner by Memory and a die cut 'Happy Birthday', which was free with a Crafty Magazine this month.
The gingham paper on the front of the card is from a 6x6 stack called Wild Rose Studio 'Ginghams'. The other cris-crisy papers are from my stash.
The freebie font on the inside is called 'You Are What You Eat' and you can download that from www.dafont.com
That's it I think, thank you for stopping by! I hope to add this to a few....

Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner Sponsors C.R.A.F.T.

It's time for another challenge over on the C.r.a.f.t. Challenge Blog  sponsored by me, myself and my little digi store, Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner! There's the Inspiration Picture for this challenge seen below. I can't wait to see what you and the C.R.A.F.T fabulous Design Team, come up with using some of my Digi's! They asked to use...
Fishing Cat, Skating Bear, Merry Christmas Polar Bear and Little Boat! (so pop over and have a look!!)
Here's the card I made with #3943 Sea Horse. I thought I'd stick with using a lot of blue and some under the sea charms I had with Craft's Beautiful Magazine last month. At the moment the inside has been left blank but I might add a sentiment later.
The  seahorse I used as a mask
To start with I printed out two seahorses so I could use one as a mask. One I coloured with different shades of blue Promarkers and blended the colours, then covered it with the roughly cut out seahorse  mask and sprayed  it all over with Midnight Blue Comic Shimmer Mist. (I use an old shoe box for this)
I removed the mask and Hey Presto the Promarker coloured seahorse came out without the Mist spray squirting all over on it!
I then mounted that onto dark Blue Core Colour Card after roughing it up a bit with sand paper. The blank card was also covered with the same dark blue core card, and then some Docrafts freebie paper, Spring Green Collection, only mine came out blue as my printer's running out of ink!
I also sprayed that paper with more blue Shimmer mist.
The Ric-Rac ribbon was pink so that was coloured with a dark blue ProMarker and more Shimmer Mist too. (It's gone a bit Purple.) To finish I added beads, fixed on with Collall All Purpose Glue. (I'm using this even more than their Photo Glue now) The're sightly different colours between the beads because I added Glossy Accents to the ones near the seahorse and not the beads down the side. There's also three different colours of Stickles Glitter glue too and a dusting of dark blue micro glitter! All in all, a fun challenge!
So, all you have to do now is go and join in! I'm offering five digis as a prize and as you all know, anyone using any of my digi's are always in for a chance of a freebie, if they enter their creation into a challenge and especially if I use it on the blog or in the store! Back later (I'm not here again!) to add more pictures, links and correct all my mistakes!

Promarkers cos they are just the best way to colour anything There's a vid of me buying them on this blog somewhere!
And, Comic Shimmer, because it's fun and messy!
But I don't use it as much as I like.

It's A Quirky Cupboard Challenge!

Yes! There's  a Cupboard Challenge  going on over on The Quirky Craft's Challenge Blog. It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme and she wants to see cupboards, shelves or dressers, and they can't be empty - what's in your cupboard? We're sponsored by Crackerbox Palace and they have supplied the team with some lovely images to work with and the winners of our challlnges some lovely stamps!
Here's my card. I decided to do a bit more than 3D my image, and tried to create a crafty cupboard.
I've even added 3D drawers so I could put things 'inside' them. I've also cut through the card so you get a little peep of what's inside....ah, you've guessed.... another cupboard!
I've added a brad spoon, a key and scissors and a few tiny bits from my stash. The backing paper is by PinkPetticoat as I thought it made good 'wall paper'.
Every thing's coloured with ProMarkers. The pots and boxes on the chest inside the card also come from our sponsors.
I've also used a little bit of that Core'dinations, ColorCore cardstock and roughed it up with sand paper. I did have a bow in the corner, but that was changed to some tiny flowers instead. The little green stars are plastic, the tiny flower 'handles' are from a roll of ribbon.
I've put the drawers on a bit wonky, like mine... so full of crafty stuff they don't shut properly.
The sentiment on the front also comes from Crackerbox Palace.
Inside I made a 'picture' sentiment using a freebie font, which you can download HERE. It's called Tempus Sans ITC
Also, those of you with eagle eyes might spot the 'paper' fixed to the door on the inside dresser... it has tiny fish on it, this is also from our sponsor.... left over from This card, which I made a while back!
To hide the cut edges of the 'hole' I've framed it with a bit of left over dresser.
I've had a lovely day today spending time with family in the very warm and sunny  garden! (I just hope that's not our 'summer' gone now!) Lovely chocolate birthday cake, flowers, chocolates, a hand made lavender heart hanger, the DVD Gravity, new walking boots from hubby and a rare visit from my brother! Plus birthday money but I had to promise not to but 'glue' with it! That's it I think! Thank you for stopping by!! Hoping to add this to some...
 Challenges!
(This is a stamp, but DT members were sent Digi's)

It's A Quirky Secret Garden Reminder!

Another week's gone by and it's time for A quick Quirky Crafts reminder to come over and join in with our Secret Garden Challenge, thought up by Monica. We're sponsored by SAMAFLORA  and UNKY who has supplied the DT with some lovely images.
Here's my card. I've used Hanbo and kept to using the same colours in my flowery paper by Dovecrafts, reds, greys and blacks.
I coloured the once pink and white flowers with a red Promarker so they would match as well as that tiny bit of red edging around the border and of course the digi image.
I've added  loads of Stickles glitter glue to the papers and the image, plus black and grey pearls as well as black  eye-lash wool and red ribbon. The bow was added with a dab of gel glue over a knot of the eye-lash wool.
The dangling black bead wrapped in wire was once an earring. (I knew it would come in handy one day!) I've also decorated the inside of the card with more papers from the same set. (It's quite an oldie but I think you can still get it)
The Font I've used inside the card is a freebie. It's called HongKong and you can download it HERE
I've added a punched out sign, which I think might mean Happiness....or it might not! (and it may be upside down, sorry if it is!) then I punch it out again using a scalloped circle.
I also added a bit more black eye-lash wool down the side of the card and a vinyl butterfly on the front. They're sticky but you can peel them off again.
I'm not here so this is on timer, hoping it works because it took ages to upload the pictures, and why is it the size of the font is always in 'small' when I've told it to do 'normal'??? And it won't change, not unless I go into the HTML and change all the 'small' to 'normal', which takes ages!! Maybe blogger has decided the new normal is now 'small'.
Anyway, moan over! Hoping to add this to a few challenges as soon as I get home later tonight! Don't forget to pop over to Quirky Crafts and join in. Hope you've had a fabulous weekend. It's been lovely and sunny here in Southern UK....Thank you for stopping by!

Sssh! It's a Secret Quirky Garden Party...of sorts!

Evening peoples. It's March already and guess what I forgot?? My Blog-anniversary in February. Never mind, I'll join it to my Birthday coming up soon, so look out for freebies!!
It's Quirky Time again and here's my card for this fortnight's challenge. It's Monica's turn to set the theme and she has chosen...
 'The Secret Garden'
I would've taken my pictures outside in my own 'secret garden', but would you believe it.... it's raining. again! And the sky is grey...but there is a bit of a blue corner over in the west, so fingers crossed it'll brighten up later!
This week's challenge is sponsored by SAMAFLORA who make fabulous flowers and UNKY  who have given the Team some fabulous digi's to work with.
Here's my make. This time I've used  Braided hair big eyed flower fairy and coloured her with ProMarkers, covered her with lots of dots from my Quickie Glue Pen and then sprinkled some green micro glitter over her to make her sparkle.
The Papers are freebies from CardMaking and Papercraft Magazine (6x6 pack) and so are the cardboard embellishments, sentiment, bunting and other wotknots, which match and came with them. They're designed by Teresa Collins and are called 'Fabrications'. I love the way the paper all matches even though it's all quite different.
The paper flowers are from my stash, as was the Burn Orange Eye-lash wool. (love it, not used it before)
Inside, I've used more of the same papers and added a few of the off cuts (after cutting it to fit the card) as not to waste them. They are so pretty! The Corner Die Cut is by Memory-Makers.
The font I've used is called P22 Bramble Wild  and you can download it for free HERE. Or just Google the name, although, due to Copywrite some sites do charge..
That's it I think! I'm not here (as usual) so I'm hoping Mr blogger's timer will work, he's been very mean about loading my pictures today and printing everything in small! (even though I've put in 'normal' cheek!!....so said ' size doesn't matter!?!)  I'm hoping to add this card to some fabulous challenges. Have fun and don't forget to come and join in over on Quirky Crafts!! Bye For Now!
