This fortnight, over at Quirky Crafts, we're sponsored by Crackerbox Palace.
I found a cogg die-cut already cut out in some other backing paper (it has writing on it) not sure where that came from, but the colour fitted in well, so I added the bird paper (printed smaller) behind it. Then punched out those little birds....but my punch kept jamming, (Grrrr) so I ended up using the inner circle from a cogg die-cut and layered them on circles coloured with the same colour Promarker I used on the house.
The blue brads are to make you think they're fixed to the card that way, but there's a 3D fold pad behind them.
I was going to 3D the fairy- but run out of time (Have to be up early in the morning and it's now...just gone one I should be snoring!) so decided there was already enough layers.
The little sentiment 'Dream' comes from a sheet by Craft Creations, which I've been using a lot lately. Very useful! Must get some more! I've used one of my favourite card shapes, where you cut half the back off, turn it round and then fix a smaller card on the front. (still not sure what they're called.) I started trying to load these pictures around eleven o'clock tonight and they've only just up loaded, blogger must be very busy! Well that's it for now. Thank you for stopping by! And sorry about my big mistake! I hope to add this to some...
It's a Song and I'm home! Three weeks sitting on dogs... and a whole week with no blogging. That must be a first. The dogs we've been looking after have their 'mummy and daddy' back and any minute now, I'll be in my lovely bed, but, no peace for the wicked, I must get this DT card out as it's really late this time.
I started off putting the little Santa over my own Snowy paper, colouring him on the computer and then printing him off about four or five times so I could 3-D him. I also printed the 'Let It Snow' sentiment under him at the same time.
The large snowflake is recycled, although the original gem was smaller. I had a sheet of silver edged die-cut sentiments by Craft Creations, (They're going to be very useful!) and added 'Let it Snow' and a silver edged snowflake. The other tiny snowflakes were punch out with a Woodware Punch. I used the white card waste from the sentiments, see, said they'd be useful! (I throw nothing away!) Then I decided to add that corner die-cut and last but not least, Santa just had to have a fluffy pom-pom!
The main paper, or card I've used, coz it's very thick, came from a TV craft programme some years ago (One of the first things I ever bought!) and this is the first time I've used it. The colours just seemed to match (so glad I remembered I had it!) I covered the blank card with the green wizard card first and then cut out a wiggly 'frame' from the dark blue card and fixed that on using 3D foam squares along with the topper.
Hi guys! Here I am with my second DT card for the latest challenge reminder over on Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog! I didn't quite have time to finished it and add it to last weeks Quirky post, as I'm still away. I've another two weeks of sitting on dogs!
The Challenge over on Quirky Crafts has already started. It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme. And she has chosen... Frame It!!
Happy Anniversary Emma and Tom! Goodness doesn't time fly! It doesn't seem that long ago I was showing you pictures of the wedding and then all the wedding invitations I made (That were featured in a crafty mag!) and then of course pictures of baby Niamh when she was first born!!
All that was six years ago! It was a lovely hot sunny day....not like today all wet with thunder and lightening! (although there were a few sunny bits!) Anyway. I was thinking I'd see them this weekend but can't! Still sitting on dogs!! Luckily I started making the card a few weeks back, but didn't finish it until today!
Evening Peoples. I'm a bit late again. Here's my 2nd Quirky Crafts DT card for the Autumn Leaves Challenge, (added Monday) sponsored by Stitchy Bear.
Everything was coloured with Promarkers, although the background was coloured on the computer. I've used up some of the scraps left over from last weeks card and a couple of sheets from 'Wellington' and 'Neighourwood' 6x6 paper stacks. (Green Oak leaves and oak leaves with acorns, (plus the pumpkin paper and autumn leaves from last week) I've edges all the papers with brown ink, used a small Woodware punch to cut out the tiny leaves, also added a bow, some eyelash wool, Stickles glitter glue, and some pumpkin buttons (with the backs cut off) all fixed on with silicone glue.

Our 20th Challenge this year over on the Quirky Crafts Challenge blog, (which started yesterday) is set by Monica. Fall, or Autumn as we call it here. I was late again and didn't finish my card til Monday, so if you scroll down you'll see I was almost on time
and had actually started my card (printed out the digi!) and this is how it turned out! It's a nice easy challenge so we hope to see you there!
Although Stitchy Bear sent us some lovely papers to use and my phone downloaded them, my old computer couldn't
find them so with time fast running out, I opted for some leaves and *pumpkins papers (*saved as jhosFord-cutepumpkin-bg8 and luckily already printed out!) which I found whilst
hunting through my folders. Most likely freebies from Scrapwow years ago.
I've also
added a stamp by Hero Arts (E2322) along the top of the card using an autumn scene in aged mahogany Distress Ink,
which I also used to colour the larger punched out leaves, plus orange and
green Promarkers. As you can see I've left the inside blank with just the leaves backing paper. I think that's it! Only one of these pictures has Glitter on it...bet you didn't notice! Thank you for stopping by!
Okay...I'm out of time again. So....just it case I don't get back, I've taken pictures of my DT Quirky Craft's card as I've made it. This Challenge is Monica's idea and she'd love to see, Autumn themed creations with falling leaves and all the colours that go with that!
Here's my third DT card for the Quirky Summer Memories Challenge, which is in it's last week...
The die cut sun...well I have no idea where that came from! I do have a sun but I'm sure it's bigger than that! (Never used it! Or perhaps I have and can't remember) There was a smiley sun drawn in in the background but for some reason I cut it out. (why?) I have no idea!
