ATC Swap. Poppies, Remember

Here's my ATC's for last months Swap over On the CM&PC forum. The other swaps you'll find here, or just scroll down to Monday's post (Bloggers being a pain!)
The decoupage poppies are from a Country Diary calendar, I think was a freebie from CP&PC Magazine (check out their freebie download papers anyway) about two years ago. (2008 for 2009 most likely) I've just used a tiny bit of Xmas Red Stickles Glitter. I did the sentiment on the computer and of course the font is a freebie, called AdineKirnberg-S, which I'm sure I've linked before. (bit small so you'll have to boost it up to 22-24, instead of 12)
While blog hopping I found this lovely Calendar using the same poppies but from Joanna Sheen's CD. And here's a video link if you'd like a look 'inside' Joanna Sheen's Country Diary Calendar CD
(I love the music!)

WOYWW? It's A bit of a mess...

It's WOYWW again. As you can see by my slightly yellowy pictures taken late last night, I'm in a messy state again. This is the dining table, my craft room is just a teeny weeny bit worse. We went Christmas shopping yesterday. First had to stop off at a tyre place to get my car a new one, as it was flat as a pancake the other evening. (The tyre not the car!) There was me wondering why it would hardly move, either backwards or forward and thought maybe there was a pile of snow in the way, but it turned out to be a puncture. Of course it was only flat at the bottom, a brand new tyre too.
Anyway! Shopping. I just had to buy a few crafty things and of course, (nearly everything was half price) most of which were dumped on the table, so I could have a play! Also on the table (bottom left) my disastrous DT card left over from last Sunday, and top right, the cut out penguin, which was going to be second DT card... in case I didn't get the first one finished... but I changed my mind. Thank you to Sue for linking me last week! If it hasn't snowed I should be gone and this will be on timer. So, if you've just strayed here from some other place and are wondering what on earth I'm showing you a load of stuff piled on my table for... pop over to Julia's, Stamping Ground and you'll find hundreds more, be they a tad tidier, just like it. Craft rooms that is.... Thank you for stopping by.

Sorry You missed this weeks freebie...
there's be another one on the newest Wednesday post!

Guess The Caption...

Okay... This was one of my (very bad) cartoons from 'way back when'. Use it as a freebie if you like, but I thought, seeing I'm out for most of the week and can't do my normal postings, I'd put a few things on timer. This one is 'Guess The Caption' Very Easy!
Ok.....answer? When this went out (in one of the papers) the caption was:

"Shhh! I'm trying to hear what the Actress is saying to the Bishop....."

November ATC Swap from CardMaking & PaperCraft

Just a tag late with this, knew I'd taken the pictures and thought, (with my very small brain) that I'd posted this ages ago but... no sign of it anywhere. Of course in the past I've found things posted wayyy back in 2009 by mistake, I probably put in the wrong time and date... so, maybe it is there somewhere... anyway, here are all the lovely ATC's sent to me for the Swap over on the CM&PC Forum...

Aren't they great! Where's mine?? Aw.... somewhere in 2009 I think!

It's A Quirky old World

The New Challenge has started over on
(a wee bit late... but you don't want to hear how I messed up my card do you?! No!) This fortnight's Challenge was set by Caro, and she has chosen...
'Around the World!'
Caro says, feel free to interpret this in anyway you chose...travel, Bon Voyage, anything from a different country etc and seeing it's coming up to Christmas we don't mind seeing a few penguins or polar bears! (In my case, it's usually pink elephants!) We all look forward to seeing what you come up with. Don't forget this is a mixed media challenge, so any craft project can be submitted as long as it can be interpreted as... Around The World!
In a way, I'm quite glad I messed up my first card, because if I hadn't, I wouldn't've made this one! And this one is sooo much better! All the papers I've used are by Kiss This Designs, which I downloaded as a freebie last year. The image of course comes from the fabulous Mo Mannings I used two Woodward punches to make the 'Luck' sign, which I fixed onto acetate just to give it a bit more body. I've used Promarker to colour and dusted loads of micro fine glitter wherever it would stick...but I'm now thinking I might add a bit more Stickles Glitter too! New Follower Margaret Jones (((Hi and a Big Wave!!))) Thank you for following!

How Many Punches? Who guessed?

Okay, I did a little guessing challenge the other week on how many punches did I use on my (Black and White with one other colour) DT Quirky Crafts Card? The answer was ten! There was eleven, another leaf, but that dropped off and wasn't in the picture. (camera shy!) And here's a picture of them.. (aw aren't they cute)
There was one person who got it right! Who? Dawn, from Dawn's Crafting! Email me and I'll send you some 'punched' out shapes!
