Mum and Dad's Anniversay Card

It's my Mum and Dad's Anniversary today...they've been married a very long time! I used another Forever friends 3D set. Well, they look so cute, don't they! I made it by printing a Pink Petticoat pattern straight onto the pink pearl card and trimming off the bits that the printer didn't quite reach. I used my Quickutz for the lettering. Can you spot the mistake?? It's the last D...it's upside down...and the U is really an N and I was running out of pink card, I did have, after I played with the letters I'd cut out 'Mum & Pop' but I don't think dad would've liked that! The glittery bits along the bottom was made by a sticky rub-on thingy, which I added glitter to. I made the gold anniversary peel-off silver by colouring over it with a silver pen. Inside there's Knicker-blocker-glories papers. I'm sure mum told me that dad bought her, her very first one, aw...nice! (Or maybe I dreamt it!) I forgot to take a picture, so I'll pop one in later. My Weekly Followers Blog Candy

I thought I'd better do it properly! And as you can see, I've been playing with my new toy! I made this Candy Banner, took loads of pictures and then couldn't decide which one to use...so I used them all!
Just to recap, Blog Candy every week (Saturday/Sunday) from now until the end of September for one lovely random follower. Woodside Wonders

I heard this 'Windows Live' is supposed to be really good for blogs and setting up your posts and putting in your pictures! (They lied!! allegedly) I've been trying to load things into my blog for hours and have at last gone back to the old way! It was my third try and at least this time Blogger didn't go to error or crash. This time I could see my blog page with this new text on it but the words just would not go where they are here (and even here isn't really where I'd like them) What's made me really mad is...where's my Google home page gone!!?? First thing in the morning it's all coming off!! Internet Explorer is just too damned (excuse my French!) slow!! My computer has both (Why?) so that's what it chooses. It's still trying to load in the background now, little wheel spinning round and round, like a little hamster.
Anyway!! (Sorry rant over!) obviously all the mistakes are mine, I just wish it was easier! (We're not all computer wizards y'know!)
No cards today just cars! John just loves old cars, probably because we've only ever had old cars and these cars makes our car look a bit newer! We've spent the later part of the day looking over some of these little beauties... back tomorrow...with cards!! Promise!!...oh yes...and the rocket card...

Sunday Evening...After all that moaning yesterday, look what I've just done using Picasa...it was on that free CD-Rom I mentioned a few posts down... (sorry been out all day, will post tomorrow!! Ps...click on pic to make it bigger!

Dragonfly: ATC. and Blog Candy!

Sorry! You've guessed, there's no space rocket tonight, but I did print it out, so all I have to do is cut round it, add a few 3D stickers and Bob's your uncle... (who is Bob, doesn't anyone know) but I did finish this ATC. It's taken me ages! The main image was a freebie over on June's lovely Blog a few weeks ago and she had a challenge to alter it in any way. Of course slow silly cloggs here forgot and then couldn't think how to finish it. I wanted a mirror reflection in the centre to look like water, but ended layering silver embossing power and then stamping into it with a dragonfly stamp from Paperartsy. Not quite how I saw it in my head ...but then by head's full of sawdust and strawberries most of the time.

Sadly, I've also got another picture of the wasps nest. When my dad rung me to say he'd be round first thing with his smoke gun to 'see to' the wasps, I actually heard myself trying to put him off! Then I remembered the child I knew who was attached by a whole nest and only last week someone in the next road had to be taken to hospital as they suffered a bad reaction with just one sting. Anyway dad was very determined and as he used to be a bee keeper has a few 'helpful' gadgets. As he approached the hedge armed with his smoke gun and his magic wasp killing puffer, I warned him they were angry and wouldn't take prisoners! He said, 'They wouldn't worry me!' and as I warned him again, the first attack wave flew straight out at him! In all his years (he's 83) he said he'd never known such an angry mob and assured me, they had to go. Anyway enough of wasps...they give me the hebegebies!!! (worse than spiders do!)
