Evening everyone! yes, I am...going round in circles, so seeing it's my turn to set the theme over on Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog I thought it would be nice if everyone else was too! That's my Challenge. I want to see circles on any crafty project you create! They can be embossed, die-cuts, half circles, whole circles, tiny circles, BIG circles. Any
kind of circle; circle shapes, circle cards, lots of circle's or just
one, as long as there's a circle or circles on your creation, (and
yes! Dots are circles too!)
This fortnight, over at Quirky Crafts, we're sponsored by Crackerbox Palace.
The Design Team (and guests) have been given a few digi's to play with. I chose this little bird house with leaves (also comes as a stamp) and the tweety bird. (I've flipped one of them around the other way)

Although it's not very clear in the main pictures, I've started off using backing papers with a circular patten. (You can see that clearer on the inside picture) All the papers are freebies from Sherry K.Designs
(you'll find more freebies there and a few to buy too!)
I found a nice thick piece of brown/tan card from my stash, (was looking for something completely different) folded it (scored it with my bone folder....yes, I found it!) and then cut it down in size to about four and a half by five and three quarters inches. (Why? So I could use the cut off bit to fix the ribbon to.) Covered the card in the circle patterned paper after inking the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I found a cogg die-cut already cut out in some other backing paper (it has writing on it) not sure where that came from, but the colour fitted in well, so I added the bird paper (printed smaller) behind it. Then punched out those little birds....but my punch kept jamming, (Grrrr) so I ended up using the inner circle from a cogg die-cut and layered them on circles coloured with the same colour Promarker I used on the house.
The blue brads are to make you think they're fixed to the card that way, but there's a 3D fold pad behind them.
I've flipped one of the birds the other way then added a few more circles from the same paper set. I printed out the little bird The 'Home' ribbon is from Papermania and those round letters spelling out 'New' came from a mixed set by Laura Ashley.house a feThe brown ribbon under it, is recycled. Can't remember where it came from but it has the words Royal Jelly on the other shiny side.w times, coloured with Promarkers and 3D-ed it.
In side the card, I've added the bird paper again (a little bigger this time) and the circle pattern again, which is also a little bigger and that lovely die-cut came free with an order I made a little while ago.(must get that die!)

Anyway, before I bore you to death... that's it, finished. Easy! So
don't forget to join in over on Quirky Crafts. I'll be watching out for
you! Sorry if the pictures aren't quite as focused as they usually are,
I had to use my phone, as once again, I have no batteries for my
camera! (Yep... I checked the TV remote....wrong size!) That's it! Thank
you for stopping by!
