This Weeks Wednesday Digi! CLOSED

I thought I'd do another "Fold it in half and make a scene" digi. I need a better name, but you know what I mean! Comments would be lovely. Then at least I know someone finds them useful! I'm not here, so any problems email me and I'll send it to you ASAP. After dog walking I'm baby sitting and then... off out for an evening meal. Yummy! Thank you for stopping by!

Let's Have A Quirky Time!

Evening Quirky fans! It's new challenge time over on The Quirky Crafts Challenge blog. Cazzy has been busy setting up the new theme and this time she has chosen...
It's All About Time!
We are sponsored this challenge by The Cutting Cafe who have kindly supplied us with some of their files to work with.
Here's my creation... okay...my printer's been out of ink for a while and new ones haven't worked but at last the computer said 'yes' and it allowed me to print.
Nervous that it would stop at any second and start chewing up the paper and spitting out black ink everywhere, which is what it's been doing, I decided to put all the things I wanted to use on my creation into Word and layer them up in there.  This is quite layered up with card (Black, lilac and lavender) but the actual digi's are flat, including the sentiment.
In my Quirky file was also a Bugaboo image, Stella sipping her Martini on the Rocks, which I felt just had to go on too.  So it did. (Cazzy might get her big stick out) but the beauty of that is...it too is part of the one print out. (actually, when you think about it, it saves on glue!!)
I had a tiny bit of tape measure ribbon so that's gone on too and also added a real paper clip and a couple of brads.
I've added cog die-cuts and embossed clocks onto some silver miri card, there's also a clock charm, which I'm sure came from Crafts Beautiful Magazine a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately, the printer packed up after only two printings, so the inside was made up with what I already had and the bits left over.
The card's had a tiny bit sliced off the front so you can see the silver clock embossing on the inside.
The sentiment and all the papers came from Cutting Cafe. Any colouring, there's not much, was done with Promarkers.
That's it I think! So all you have to do now is nip over to Quirky Crafts, go and make something, and then come and join in! Easy!! Thank you for stopping by! Hoping to add this to a few ...

Another Happy 80th Birthday Card

Here's my second Happy 80th Birthday card of the week. (or maybe the week before by the time you get to see it!) Now you've seen both, I'm sure you'll agree this one's nicer... I love the colour, and the little LOTV Image (which was part of a set of digi freebies from a Crafty Magazine) and so was the already typed out sentiment on the right on the inside.
The computer genterated sentiment is the same as the one in the post below, but just a bit different. My printer has not been working  for a while so when it printed these out in grey I was really happy, as I'd be really stuffed without a sentiment on the front!!
I made one of these open out both ways cards...Big card with front cut in half turned round and a smaller card fixed on what was the back on the larger card... I  still have no idea what their real name is. Tell me if you know!
Like the card below I've also given these white flowers a Promarker make over, so they go with the papers. The papers I hadn't used in ages (years even!)  but I wanted something that matched and fitted the 8x8 larger card. They're by Papermania. 50 sheets, 8"x8" called Amethyst Infusion. Both the corner die cuts were hiding in some little drawers, so they just had to go on. At the bottom of one of those little drawers I found 'Just Purrfect' already stamped and embossed and then I found some patterned parchment paper and last, the LOTV image, a little girl with her cat. I've added a line of acetate to the front card just to help it stay up when open.
The lady that asked me to make this card for her mum, not only breeds dogs, she also has a small cattery too, so there had to be a kitten or a puppy on there somewhere! Inside I've used a Woodware 'paw' punch. I layered it all up, added the ribbon....not really in the right place. I usually have it under the top card. I've added a little bit of Stickles Glitter and some lilac gems too. That's about it I think! Later, I also hope to add this card to a few ...
Challenges!

An 80th Birthday Card...

Looking back I seem to have made a few of these. (Cards for 80 year olds) This one I made for a lady I met through dog walking and Facebook. (I sent her this card when her little doggie had puppies!)  It was her Mum's 80th birthday and she asked, 'Please make me a card' about two days before... I stayed up most of the last night making it, trying to get myself into the right 'mood'.. Went to bed...my throat raw still coughing and splattering, then suddenly woke up and decided it wasn't right at all! So scrapped that (this one) and made another one in about an hour....(which she loved so much more!) such is life! (I'll show you that card in the next post. First this one.
The white flowers, are by Papermania and have had a ProMarker make-over so they match the backing papers. The papers are called Fairy Belle Collection, by Jodie-Lee, 24 sheets, 6 double-side designs/ 4 sheets per design, which came with a stamping set too from Simply Cards And PaperCrafts last year. I hate sticking down double-sided papers, don't you!?! Both sides are equally lovely.
As there were bird cages and birds on the papers I used my Tim Holtz's bird cage Die-cut plus some of his flourishes too. I've also used a Martha Stewart lace border punch and a Woodware tiny leaf punch. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.
I've added stickles glitter to go with the shinny pinky/lilac mirror card and gems, plus a bluey card and a lilac card for layering. Everything's been edged with Vintage Brown Tim Holtz ink.
The sentiment I did on the computer. It's not been stuck down so I can remove it if I want to use the card for something else.
The font I used is a freebie on most sites, I've linked it before, I can't link them anymore, it's called, Abbeyline so just Google the name. Inside I've used more of the papers but left it blank. (I've since peeled off the sentiment inside, as I used Photo Glue it came off easy!)
I think that's it!  Coming up later will be the other card I made...completely different, but about the same size. (8x8) Thank you for stopping by!! I'd love to enter this card into a few ...

Happy Birthday Tom!

It's son in laws birthday today...one with an 0...no, that's not right, that'll make him ten...I meant it's four with an 0. So here's the card I made.
Hope he likes it. Cogs because? Well he has a racing bike, that has cogs. The little camera charm is because he loves taking pictures and has one of those super cameras. The clocks on the backing paper... ? The hands look like arrows... he's in with the local Archery Club...Hmmm, oh yes, he has to keep time (like we all do....I never have enough) And Chickens? They're excising chickens and they're all keeping fit! Up...down...Up... Tom's a Personal Trainer. He has weights and stuff...although I've not seen a skipping rope... The stamped image is by Penny Black of course. I still have no printer....it eats paper so I couldn't use a digi and my only black ink pad is bone dry, so I was so-so glad to find this image already stamped out, ready to use, it's just perfect! The gold and bronze card has been embossed with a clock embossing folder and a cog embossing folder. I've also added screw brads. Love them.
Inside the card looks like this. It says Keep Your Pecker Up... and Down and Up.... The font I used is called Violety Crumble. Google the name. It's a freebie on most sites.
It's one of those 'cut the front panel of the larger card in half, turn it the other way and then sick a smaller card on the bit that was the inside' cards. (What are they called?) I like doing these. I also love the cogs, especially for men's cards.

I've added a strip of acetate to the front of the smaller card with Happy Birthday fixed to it. I was going to leave it off, but it does stop the card from falling over. Hope you had a fabulous Birthday Tom!
Later I hope to add this to a few ....

Spyder's Other Corner Sponsors Robyn's Fetish!

Over on the Robyn's Fetish challenge blog there's a new challenge with a great theme going on, which Spyder's Other Corner is sponsoring! It's...
ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE OR RECTANGLE
Easy! I went for a watering can shape, definitely not a square or a rectangle...well, not really! Go here to get the freebie watering can template, which  I made a few weeks ago. (you might've missed it)
I've used Hedgie with his watering can (again!) I know...but once I'd cut out the watering can shape he was really the only one I could use.  I've added a handle to the watering can. There's a bit of Velcro in the middle so the two halves closes up or opens, to make it easier to lie flat to fit into the envelope.
I  printed Hedgie onto acetate, then gently heated up some clear embossing power, which I threw over it as soon as it came out of the printer, this makes a nice bit of texture to his spiky coat. I then coloured the thin paper layer that comes attached to the acetate, (probably meant for an overhead projector) then fixed them together.
The papers are freebies from a crafting magazine.
Now then, I don't know if there's something wrong with Blogger seeing I've been awol for ages, but I've typed this post out  a hundred  times and it keeps disappearing or the sentences jump all over the place!!  In fact, if I try to delete something from above, most of the buttom bits disappear too! So I'm going to press the Publish button and then add the links later!
Pop over to Robyn's Fetish to see other creations, there are some really good ones!! I've added a few here..

Spyder's Other Corner Sponsors C.R.A.F.T.!

Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner is  sponsoring C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 258! And I'm giving Five digi's of your choice to the winner. It's nice and easy, it's...
Birthday!
This challenge also has a Blog hop, so go and join in and win some prizes!
I've made a card for this challenge too using Spyder's Corner Shop and two of my Hedgies!
Using the computer and a PNG image of Watering Can Hedgie I added him on the front of the shop, flipped the shop upside down so the back was the right way up...(I know what I mean!) and added Sunflower Hedgie, then  printed it all out and coloured with Promarkers. I added a little bit more 'grass' along the bottom, cut out the shop window and added acetate, cut out part of the door window, left a little bit, to make it look like a blind. I found a little garden spade and fork from my stash and made a shop sign.
The font I've used is called Curlz MT, Google the name, most sites have it as a freebie  (I can't link them any more, sorry, I get emails telling me not to!)
In side I've added some flowery backing paper and some pink gingham, which was free from crafting magazine PaperCraft Inspirations I've linked them before, you can still find them HERE then I added my own flowers over some flower pots backing paper I found, which I cut off in strips to make look like shelves.
On the back is Sunflower Hedgie...who looks very happy having just bought  a flower birthday present for his friend...
That's it for now. I have no idea why I'm writing in this font, probably coz I copied a line from Jo's email! (It's called Kristen ITC but the way, it's a freebie on most font sites. Anyway!! Come and join in with the challenge and the blog hop, more information over on C.R.A.F.T! Thank you for stopping by!
