Morning! It's Wednesday again, nd my computer has decided it wants to download every thing including the kitchen sink, even tho I only closed it down less than four hours ago. Do you get that? Download the latest Java or Acrobat reader, even though you thought you downloaded the latest version only ten minutes ago! Agghh!! Welcome to What's on Your WorkDesk Wednesday....and as you can see... my picture is a shameful one, banked on scaring me into the sudden need to tidy it up and then show you an 'After' picture with it all nice and tidy....  Sorry, not going to happen!! This is my mess... I'm in there somewhere, standing on a chair taking this photo, still in my sleep T shirt with Jinx the lodger cat trying to push me off it. He won by the way, but not until I moved the chair out into the hall.... So that's it, the world can see I'm the messiest crafter in the whole wide world...and I don't care...
But here to distract you from the mess is a silly picture of son in law Tom, with baby Naimh (Neve)  and... The Lodger cat, Jinx. He just HAS to been in the picture some were.  ( I mean the cat)  Happy WOYWW!

It's Really Quirky, This Supernatual Love

Over on Quirky Crafts, Cazzy has put on a reminder about our latest Challenge, another week to go. It's all about Supernatural love... and I was thinking, seeing Nikki from Limited Runs is one of our sponsors, I HAD to use one of my old favourites,  Mad Madison with her Axe. And just when I thought I couldn't think of another way of using her, I thought of two ways! Here's one of them! 'I love you to pieces.....The Tinier the better!'

Madison's been 3D-ed... well, her head and half her body and the axe head have been 3D-ed, coloured with Promarkers, printed PNG Madison straight on to the red tiny heart paper and then added to the card. All papers are PinkPetticoat.

 I've added some eyelash wool, four heart brads and a few punched out hearts too, plus glitter to the edges of the card as well as  Madison's bow, axe and the front of her dress. The tiny black ribbon was recycled from a top and Glossy Accents has been added to her eyes. 

Inside I've used Madison again. This time a little bit smaller over the same red heart papers and also pale green heart papers, this was then all printed out together. (It looks layered but it isn't)

The Font is is freebie.It's called, very appropriately, Head-injuries  (It takes me ages to plan all this you know, I don't just throw it all together willy-nilly !) and you can download it HERE! Quirky Kind of Love

You saw my first DT card for the challenge over on Quirky Crafts on Sunday, now here's my 'second DT card' for the same Quirky Crafts Challenge...

  'A Supernatural Love Story'. 

 And, watch out, there's a third coming up later! This time I've used three digi's from our other sponsor, Doodle Dragon Studios!  Love Dustin's images! And he's offering a $10 gift voucher for our first place winner and a $5 gift voucher for our third place winner too! How fantastic is that!?!

My Card: All the papers are from Pink Petticoat. (plain as well as patterned. All the hearts you see are either punched out of card or paper. I've covered the backing paper with some Glitter glue too, to give it a bit of sparkle, can't really see that here though.

 The three images I put together in Word, moved them about to get them where I waited them. Printed the devil cake demon twice, so I could 3D him and coloured with ProMarkers, there's also glitter on the dragon's wings and the hearts. 

The Font I've used on the front of the card is a freebie it's called Snap ITC  and you can download it HERE (I love it when some of these fonts actually work on Blogger!)

What was it?! Answer !

 Well, you are all clever clogs!! Most of you guessed what this was yesterday. Chocolates. A packet of Revels, only one day over their 'sell by date'.  They'd been in a vending machine and I think the sunlight may have got to them too! The only chocolates in the packet that hadn't discoloured were the Maltesers, and I ate them!! Yum! (So there wasn't any in the picture)

Morning WOYWWERS! Hope you're well and fighting fit! Not on my desk today (as it's too messy) but on the dining table, still sorting out papers, drawing this weeks freebie... and eating some cereal. Picture's a bit dull and yellow as it's dark out side. This is what it looked like around midnight...  I also took a picture of these... loved the colour and texture. I haven't changed it in any way. It is as it is! Any idea what that is?

A Quirky Supernatural Love Story

Hi Quirky fans!  I'm home from dog sitting... although I passed on the sitting bit, as they did get very muddy and pong a bit! They had a bath, or rather, four buckets and a watering can, so are all nice and sweet smelling as two hairy dogs can be! But enough of that!!

A new challenge has already started over on the Quirky Crafts challenge blog and it's Daire's turn to set the theme this fortnight. Her first theme as a Quirky DT member so get over there now and join in!!  For this challenge Daire would love you to create something on the theme of...

  'A Supernatural Love Story.'

Let your imagination go wild! (Okay... within reason!) You could make anything crafty you like, doesn't have to be a card. You could have a go at an art journal page, or a bookmark, a tapestry, a scrapbook page, atc's, fat pages, even cake decorations if you fancy, we don't mind! I'm boring, I made two cards, which was quite clever really seeing I haven't been in my craft room for most of the week. The second card you can see tomorrow... when I've finished it!

My card: First I covered it in black card and then scraps of five different PinkPetticoat black and white backing-papers, black hearts, black spotty ribbon, and a beaded heart topper, which I've had for years and only just opened the packet of six..they'd been waiting for this challenge all a long!

 The digi, which I've 3D-ed and coloured using four or five different grey ProMarkers, comes from the one and only Nikki, Limited Runs one of our sponsors this time (Our other sponsor is Doodle Dragon Studios) His name is Gooper and you'll find him in with a few other ghoulish toys!

The Freebie Font: is called Love Letters. See, I don't just throw these cards and posts together you know, I plan them all out, so even the font matches the theme... and if you believe that... then I'm a pussy-cat's tail!

It's A Tweetie Birdie Thing!

Was playing with this, not too good but had a suddenly phone call, mum had a 'funny turn' at her flower club meeting, so spent all last night and into the early hours in the hospital A&E... Oh no...last year repeating
itself!
Happily, mum's okay and even better, she doesn't know yet, she won one of the demonstrators exhibits!  Sounds nice over the phone.
 I'll take a pic and post it here later! Right, might be awol just for a bit as we're dog sitting again. Their owners have gone to Iceland to see the Northern Lights, how fabulous is that!! And I too have a hospital thingy later. So, hopefully once I'm set up, I'll be back here and you won't even know I was gone!

It's WOYWW all ready...

OMGoodness we're half way through February all ready, I missed Pancake day...oh well, never mind, and tomorrow's Valentines Day! I'd better do a card!  Not much crafting done this week, mostly dog sitting. Mr Jinkx our lodger cat wasn't happy, we took the dogs home, and before they were even in the drive he knew, and hid!  Happy WOYWW! My lovely embossing folders have arrived! Clocks, Keys and Cloggs, should come in handy! The Keys folder had some freebie Core Color too. Thank you IKE (Go over to her blog right now, follow so you don't miss any of her fantastic stuff, her bloody Valentine is unbelievably love-ly!!) who won a prize but sent me her code, as the postage from England to Greece was waaay OTT! The other thing on my desk is a new pink folder, I dropped a folder in the week and all my Pink Petticoat papers...(yes, all those papers are printed out Pink Petticoat) spilled out every where and the folder was all bent and mooshed up, so I'm in the middle of fixing them into a new one... might colour code them too, how sad am I?... I need to get out more! So, that's what's on my desk this week!! Hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!!

Oh goodness me I hope I've spelt that right!! What's it say Lyn? Hopefully, it's equivalent to Congratulations or Wishing you happiness, and Fat Choi, means, sudden and huge increase on your property! Or basically, Happy New Year in Chinese. 
Over on Quirky Crafts, Cazzy has added a reminder about our Stamp it, No Digi Chocolate and Cream Challenge, three lucky people are going to win same lovely stamps!
 Here's my reminder...what d'you think?  Actually, at the time of typing this I haven't a clue! I'm making all this up  as I go along! Coz I'm not here and haven't made the card yet!!
   Well, I'm back in my craft room now, most of the week I've been dog walking so haven't done much crafting but decided to stamp on some cream pearl card with two of the stamps I received form our sponsors, the chocolates and the word Yummy, then!! (yay) my embossing folders I'd ordered (via Ike's code, thank you!!) arrived in the week, so I thought I'd use the keys embossing folder, with something like the words, 'chocolate unlocks the key to my heart' but on reflection...that didn't make sense...or have anything to do with 'stamping' as I'd have to do that on the computer. 
So, I had another think... still used the keys folder, coz I'd already sanded the chocolate coloured 'core color card' and came up with a stamp I actually bought while over in USA, with people either moving or going off somewhere, (There's no name on the stamp) 
Then I added the sentiment from our sponsors, 'When the Going gets tough, the tough eat chocolate'  
 I think it works (It was either that or another Tilda!...I did actually have one coloured!) I couldn't make up my mind which way round to do the card, so I did both, you choose!!  See you over on Quirky Crafts!
 

 

WOYWW??? Craftimess and a Carrot eating reindeer...

Morning Woywwers!  I haven't really been doing much since the weekend... so here's the aftermath of my last make.  Stamps, ink, shrink plastic... abit of embossng I didn't use...then, I've left a little green gap because I am expecting some goodies, (embossing folders) in the post, but they haven't turned up yet and I was hoping to put them in that little green (rare) space! Ike won a voucher didn't use it as the postage would be more than the prize, so asked if I could use it! Yes! Please!! Fabulous! I doubled checked and yes, I could use the voucher code, so goodies should be here by now.  So to fill that tiny gap, in the next picture I've filled it with...

an ATC made by Ike using one of my Digi's (I love Carrots!) she sent it to me!! (Ages ago... I posted about it but, it disappeared, vanished! along with my Spyder has Spyed post as well... (where do they go?) So I'll do them again before I forget. Isn't it fantastic!?! It even has little orange beads where the carrot has been eaten by the reindeer, and a little collar with a bell! It's all 3D-ed as well!  Here's a bigger Picture of it, so a big thank you to Ikes' World I'm going to put him in my store...

Latest Pictures of Niamh

Little Niamh (Nieve) is  just about five weeks old now, sitting in her car-seat ready to go out exploring the World... Thought you might like to see her wearing her latest fashion growbag, I mean, baby-grow, which her Nanny-Lyn bought her. Last weigh in 11lb 2. She's going fast! I loved the little mouse on the front, I might just have to draw one for tomorrows freebie!

Chapters four and five are probably a bit slow, will shorten them later...but I'm quite pleased with chapter six.... although there are monstrous demons in Ettie's bed, so be warned!! Quirky Craft's Challenge has started over on the Quirky Challenge blogg right now! Hope this has gone live, coz I'm not here and I've left it up to Mr Blogger! It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme, she's been very busy, we have a NEW Sponsor, Crackerbox Palace and they are generosity sent the Design Team members some fab stamps to use and will be providing all three prizes for this challenge! You can use any chocolates stamped, drawn, made of Fimo, die cuts, punched, hand cut or maybe real chocolates on your project! No stickers! And to use the colours chocolate and cream. AND if you stamp your chocolates and sentiments we want to know the make and name of the stamp, with pictures of the stamp too please! Tell us what you did, how you made your chocolates. Remember!

NO DIGITAL IMAGES ARE ALLOWED 

 Here's my creation, but trust me, we have some super designs made by our lovely Guest Designers! (and the rest of the team)

I've used all the stamps from our sponsors, (inside and out) plus Jam Tilda from my stash! I've also used Die-Cuts, from Tim Holtz, Xcut, Woodward and Martha Steward punches, to make flowers and butterflies, nine brads, some ribbon,  a pin with tiny beads added and a Shrink Plastic ticket, which was on a freebie sheet from Paper Craft Inspirations Magazine last year.  The strawberry chocolate has been 3D-ed. On all the stamps I used Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo Distress Ink, clear embossing power and zapped them with my heat-gun.

I used an 8x8 card from Papermania 300gsm. The papers I've used are My Minds Eye 'Signature suite'. A bargain I brought back from USA three years ago. 12x12 60 unique designs, three sheets of each design, $24.99 down to $6.88 and my real favourite, 'The Mariposa Stack' 48 sheets12x12 half with glitter and foil, aprrox £15 from The Range, about two years ago. The cream and brown card is  Bazzill Basics and also some cream hammered conqueror paper, left over from the wedding, over four years back, so, I've really been digging through my stash! To colour the sentiments, Tilda and the chocolates I used Promarkers. All that's left now is for you to pop over to Quirky Crafts and Join in! Hope to enter this into some

A Very Quirk Sneak Peek...Freebie CLOSED

Happy Ground Hog day...yep, hubby's put it on the Telly! Here's my sneak peek of tomorrows Quirky Craft's DT card for their new challenge, starting tomorrow ( Sunday) evening.  This one will be a bit different. Tell you all about that tomorrow, but it does include something I had in the post all the way from...USA I think, somewhere (I've forgotten) it had foreign postage stamps! which I shall keep and use on something one day. This card's not giving anything away! 

Now then on to the FREEBIE! Where is it Lyn?? I've hidden it in this post (For newbies run your mouse over the words, and you'll find the link) , I've put it in here somewhere 4 you to find. It's called 'Walkies' and is the drawing I made for my Little Dog Walking Business,  card and Website header (that'll show you the picture) which was meant to start off last year but because we had such a rotten year, and then Sis in law bought into a BIG Animal's at Home business, with a posh animal ambulance AND everything, so I just kept mine going as it was. Then I suddenly thought, the drawing would make a nice little digi for a card... so hunt it out, it's here somewhere! And then it'll be in the STORE, ~ it won't be here long!! Ewe Valentine Ewe!

Happy 1st February!! Here's a quickie Valentine's card I made using last weeks Bugaboo freebie! Happy Valentine's to Ewe! Sorry he's gone now, I meant to post this in the week and forgot!  Foxie has taken his place and he's just as cute! I'll try and make a card with him later!  The sentiment on the front comes with him. You'll find him in the Bug Store now.

My Card. All Pinkpetticoat papers...I think they're really Christmas ones but I liked them and never used them before, so thought I would! (coz I can!).
 I've also used my new CraftsTwo die cuts, square scallops, nice, like them. Also bought me some Pinflare Gel, non silicone... Mmmm? What's happened to it? I'm going to have to moan, it's doing the same as the StickIT glue does, showing through the paper/card (It's thicker than paper but not as thick as card) Have they changed it, cos it never used to, at least it's not as bad as the StickIt glue, but then those digi's were coloured, because this was a sheep, I've left him/her white with a bit of Promaker Pastal Blue around the edges. The sheep's head has been 3D-ed, hope you can't spot the splodge of gel glue staining his face! :(
Anyway, moan over, I've used micro fine white glitter on the wings, think I should have use clear, would've sparkled more I'm sure. I've added punched out hearts, fixed on with a Quickie Glue pen or similar and ribbon from my stash! Oh and one Heart Brad...

 The Font I've used on the inside is a freebie, it's called DaddysGirl, Download it HERE or Google the name! The + sign is a diamond and there's a few other little quirky bits too, that you can see in the picture, click to enlarge.
