Giv'us Some Quirky Red Red Wine!

It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme over on the Quirky Crafts challenge Blog and see would like to see, anything about wine (wouldn't we all!) She would love to see wine glasses, wine bottles, people with wine glasses, (holding them, not wearing them...) grapes, etc. but also, it could be any project with wine or red colours.
Our team have made some great projects, so pop over and join in! Our sponsor for this challenge is...
Here's my creation. Sorry yes I know, it's late and that's a bugaboo image but well, it went so well and for some reason it was sitting in my Cracker Box folder on my computer begging me to join it up with the sentiment and the grapes and the bottle of wine all from our sponsor, so I did. Only trouble was, my computer thinks it's out of ink, but it's not so I decided to print to hubby's computer in the room next door, and like hubby, his computer and printer were snoozing....and no amount of prodding and poking would wake either of them up!
I wanted to put everything together on my computer and then print it out onto my last bit of nice glossy photo card. My last bit of glossy photo card... yes, you can see it's all going to go wrong, can#t you!?!...hmmm.
After failing to print nine times... it suddenly printed...agh but I'd forgot to resize it on that last try and it printed it out the full A4 size....but never mind...I think it'll make a great sign for my sis-in-law to hang on her office wall
My next attempt worked just right, this time printed on some matt photo card/paper 235gsm. It's all one print, the little boats backing paper is by PinkPetticoat, Bugaboo image and the sentiment, grapes, wine bottle, not forgetting the words on the wine bottle, which I nearly did, all come from Cracker Box Palace our lovely sponsors (all coloured on the computer) I then snipped the corners with a corner punch, folded it over and that's it, done...and normally would've taken about two minutes.... not seven hours!
So now it's your turn, all about wine but could also be any project with wine or red colours!! Thanks for stopping by!!

This Weeks Wednesday Digi CLOSED

Okay, I thought....what shall I draw?!? Has to be quick because I'm up early in the morning and as always...I'm doing this at about ten to midnight. And then an owl hooted...well, since the huge cedar pine tree was chopped down just across the road a few years ago (naughty people weren't allowed to, and some say they/ or someone had it 'ringed' to make it unsafe and therefore okay to chop down..) there's not been any owl noises at night so, on hearing that woo woo...I decided to draw you a Christmas Owl...although he looks a bit like a robin, anyway, NO sharing on ANY sharing site just download to your computer...of course....I could've been wrong... it might have been a pigeon I heard! CLOSED!

Me and My 'New' Doggy Van

Seeing it's National Doggy Day today,  I thought it was about time I showed you what was keeping me from my craft room and blogging and a few of you did say you'd like to see it... My van is now fully functional, signed and so far has a fabulous cage inside ready for taking dogs out walkies! Quite some time ago I showed you my little drawing of a dog, cat, mouse, rabbit, puppy, tortoise and a parrot, which I'd drawn for my business cards, well...with a bit of jigging to take out any 'pixelating' (probably not spelt right) I've used the same image on the van too!

John helped a lot with fitting in an electric fan in the roof and driving to Surrey to get our ebay win of a transport cage. It wasn't the font I really wanted but Russel at  The Sign Builder said it was a bit too fiddly and chose this font instead. I quite like it now and I'm very pleased with it! Right! Anyone for walkies!!
Yes me!! says Tommy dog!!

Stamp on it Over to the Quirky Post!

Yes, I know I'm late... but I can see by looking at my ratings, no one's noticed! So, a big thank you for popping in today! Here's my DT card for the Reminder of the latest Quirky Crafts Challenge, Put A Stamp On It! It's not as hard as it sounds, honestly!
Anyway! Here's my effort, but please pop over to the challenge and see the fabulous makes by the rest of the design team, they have all worked so very hard this reminder and made some incredible projects!!
I've used a scalloped card, thinking it looked more 'stampy' and these posting penguins, called Dear Mr Claus from our sponsor Stitchy Bear. Then coloured using Promarkers. I die-cutted the first picture with my snowy background (chopping off a few feet!) It's a little faded, as once again, I'm running out of ink! Once cut out I then added more 3D layers.
I've also added stickles glitter glue, Christmas ribbon, a little Father Christmas envelope with a tiny stamp on it in shrink plastic and a Christmas flower. The flower and leaves I cut from the Christmas paper stack I used, which was another freebie from Cardmaking and PaperCraft Mag a few years back. They're 'shinny' papers, called Berry Merry by Jennifer Ellory.
I've used three different background papers, no, four, counting the flower. There's a border punch down one side, which has little holly leaves and then the banner paper, which I've used in its entirety inside.
The inside I've left without a sentiment at the moment but have added the stamped out Santa Envelope I use on the front (which was also a freebie from a mag)As you can see, it shrunk down quite small. I had to chase that little beggar all over my craft room with the heat gun!
Well I think that's it!! Thank you for stopping by! As always, later hoping to add to some challenges...

Quirky Well Put A Stamp On It!

Hi guys! Yes I know, I'm late again. (Shhh! Don't think anyone noticed!) No camera, no printer and no time!! Never mind, I'm here now to tell you all about The latest Quirky Crafts Challenge, which started on Sunday Evening.
It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme and she has come up with... Use a postage stamp: an image of a postage stamp, posties, postage stamp dies, punches,  letters etc etc... Looking at the other DT members fabulous cards and creations, basically, think anything  we use for writing...(It's wot people did before emails!)
Here's my card...added to the Challenge page late Monday night. I've used "Letters Home" and a few postcard images "Postcard set 2"
   from our Sponsors, Stitchy Bear.
I've 3D-ed her, just a little bit, so she pops out and gives a bit of a shallow around all those letters she's not writing! I coloured her with ProMarkers, then used some of the post cards (made them very small) along with some punched out stamp shapes to frame the image..I've left it blank at the moment. Might add a sentiment later.
The paper's I've used are called, Prima Botanical Collection; a 6x6 freebie paper stack from Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine some time back. They also came with a stamp set too....wonder where it is!?!
I cut the white 8x8 card blank a little larger than the 6x6 papers so I didn't lose any of the background pictures; stamps, letters and other scribblings. Also punched out a few stamps shapes and some images from the papers too, just to fill up some space around the digi and also inside the card.
The inside, I've left with out any wording, I've just added more of the same papers. That's it for now... thank you for stopping by even when I've not here! If I find time I will definitely love to add this to some ...

Cooking Up Something Quirky (with ribbons!)

Aw yes... I know...I'm late again. (It's 2.30 Monday morning!) But by now you know I'm always late! New Challenge time over on Quirky Crafts has already started, so get yourselves over there to see what it is and have a look at what everyone's made!
It's Cazzy's turn to set the theme and it's all about cooking! Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and  Crafty Ribbons are our sponsors, so some yummy prizes up for grabs!
Here's my card. I've used 'My Little Cook'  from Robyn's Fetish, I turned her round to face the other way, printed her out a few times...(yes, my printer's been eating my paper again!) so I could 3D her, which came in handy as I picked up the wrong colour for her face.... so just 3D-ed another one over it! (Should've made her a wobble head!)
Freebie Papers are from a crafty mag, if I can find a link I'll add it later. The 'sweet' sentiment was also part of a freebie recipe set from a crafty mag.
The bunny cup-cake ribbons were  from Crafty Ribbons one Easter, I won them and still have loads of bunny ribbons left, fabulous! (Well, if you put two bunnies together....) I've also added  Diamond and Xmas Red Stickles Glitter.
Inside, I've made the image  smaller and used her facing the way she usually is and printed her out with a sentiment using a freebie font (free on most sites) called Violeta Crumble, just google the name. I've also covered up a few smudgie bits were my printer started eating my paper.... (honestly, feed it cheese sandwiches and it's still hungry!) with words cut from other papers in the set. That's it for now, must go...I'm gettng up in a minute!! Hope to add this to some ...
