WOYWW?! #656-Evening Version-And Happy Birthday Niamh!

Evening everyone. Happy belated Christmas! It's Wednesday (just) and time, nearenough, for What's on your Worktop Wednesday, wonderfully hosted by Julia of Stamping Ground! I've had a bit of a clear up as you can see from yesterdays post...and you can actually see the floor- not that I'm going to show you the floor!

Instead I'll show you Birthday girl Niamh, already to go off to Warner Bros. (The Harry Potter) Studio Tour, London. Her broom stick's waiting out side!

I think this the tidiest my workbench has been this year! In the picture you can see I've just started this weeks Wednesday Freebie, scroll down to last post to see the finished digi.

The next corner has my owl mug filled with cold tea, some gifted Ikea jars from my daughter, a Papercraft Society box. (Show you what I made later)  and one of those turn around crafty hold everything thingies. They were all the rage years back but were a bit out of my price range then.

Here's a close up. Guess where I spyed this!? In my local Crafty Charity shop, just before Christmas, for £4. The little drawers have magnets on the inside ends so they don't keep popping out when you spin it round. Not sure what's going in it yet, as I want to clear up this corner a bit. At the moment I have my pencils and pens in Ikea hook over tubs, which were fine when I had the bigger craft room years back, as they were higher up the wall, but where they are now they just get in the way.
This picture from waaaaaaaaaaay back when I was in the bigger spare room. You can see the tubs were higher up and so not in the way. I did try and make a Lazy Susan carousel thingy for one of the very early WOYWW anniversaries, (it was rubbish by the way!)  so I guess I've always thought I needed one! That's it for now. Now to get into Stamping Ground! Thank you for stopping by for the very last WOYWW of 2021. See you in 2022! Stay Safe!

This Weeks Wednesday Freebie CLOSED

Hope you like this door. It could be a fairy door, a magic door or a secret door into the secret garden, it's up to you! A comment would be lovely! No sharing without the watermark please. Don't forget to show me what you do! Thank you for stopping by.

T for T Tuesday, Tea, Tree, No Time and T'other Things

Happy Belated Christmas every one. Sorry, I've been awol all over Christmas, as I was not only up to my eyebrows in Christmas Stuff and Family going's on, Poor Lady Pam has not been well. She's now being 'accessed' (I think I mean assessed!) in Hospital. I'm not sure how that works, but she's hoping for a new mojo and a large portion of brandy covered Christmas Pud with cream, as she missed out!
And! And!! And!! ! I not only managed a threeway video link with Daughter in Winchester, (herein England) but also, youngest daughter in Skykomish, which is about 50mins from Seattle USA and is under a weather warning of very deep snow at the moment. The snowy top picture was taken last year... so, no way as deep as it is now! Well, it is Tuesday, so I'm hoping, if I'm not too late, I'll add this to T stands for Tuesday, and Other Things over on the Altered Book Lover, aka BleuBeard and Elizabeth's.  First, The Christmas Tree from start...still in it's box up until about five minutes ago. Pressies all gone!

I'm not sure the box will last another year, but the tree's still going strong! I put less than half the decorations I normally put on it, so no red, gold or green stuff this year, but I did buy a half price Christmas Gnome while we were out today...bet you can't spot him! (He's near the bottom, on the left of the finished tree, and grey.)

We've just got back from a really long walk... first through woods and then...

along the cliff edge. Cold and Windy and a quick look around the Village... lots of knitted things on post boxes!

                              And... a quick 'selfie!'

Back home, nearly dark, John's cooking up some left over beef and adding roasted veg and two Yorkshire puds, covered in gravy, served up on our (1997 to 2007) old plates (we had wallpaper that matched! The girls chose it!)

And now, a few more pictures of snowy Skykomish..

 I think the road's blocked!

The dog's call Bandit, he's loving the snow while my grandson and son-in-law are trying to get into the house!

My untidy craft space from last week, complete with a cup of Hot Chocolate of course! (and the found lost key!) Nothing much has changed! Will 'tidy up' later. Hope you all had a lovely T for Tuesday, a Fabulous Christmas and are looking forward to a New Bright 2022!!

Here's a quick Computer Coloured Merry Kissmas Card!! (By Me!)

A Late WOYWW #654 and a T for Tuesday too

Happy Wednesday...(although it is Thursday... and almost Friday, but don't tell anyone!) It was WOYWW? but somehow it never got posted. So, here's my mess, I mean my crafty bench/room, hall.. everywhere, is just a heap of stuff...I'll show you that and then you can pop over to Stamping Ground and see some real crafting. Why not join in! It's fun!

The grandkiddies stayed over and wanted to colour in some of my past digi's. Niamh used the computer to colour in and Oliver, seen at the top, used some alcohol markers I  bought from 'The Works'. Of course he wanted them "BIG' nanny" (the digis that is)where Niamh, resized hers.

Meanwhile, I was trying to finish some last minute cards but no matter how many times I stamped this tree, it wouldn't stamp... but then, can you see what I ended up doing? Stamping on my stamping platform.  I forgot to add the paper!

Then, having another look at my four step card... I'm thinking 'Harry Potter.' It's Niamh's Birthday just after Christmas and she's going to The Warner Brothers Harry Potter theme Park and this would do nicely with a door cut into the stairs, with Harry Potter peeping out! Has anyone already done that?

Here's the work top, at last. It was worse. I've been hunting for the front door key since Monday, so moved some stuff. I know I had it in my hand on the way out, but what happened to it when I came back in? I even made John move the car forward incase it was under there!
I looked everywhere and....? Look... I've just spotted it in the photo! Plus Hot Chocolate of course (Cookies already eatten!)

I did promise some puppy pictures last week... so here's Duke and Dexter, with John giving them a treat! Dexter's the puppy, he's six months old.

And last, Mr Jinx chilling out in the spare room... I'd just changed the bed once the Grandkiddies had gone home. Anyone would think I'd made it just for him!  That's it from me. And, seeing I'm soooo late I'd like to add this to T for Tuesday and WOYWW #654! Stay Safe!

No making Bunny stew! Let me know what you do! Thank you for stopping by!

A Pop out Santa Four Step Card

Good morning/Afternoon/Evening to all you crafters. Today I have some Christmas cards... wayhayhay?! yes I know, calm down, because there's other things on my list... like... dusting (What!?) and tidying up and getting the tree down from the attic and...and... Well, here's One Christmas Card. There might be another one tomorrow. Started doing a flip and flop  card, (I mentioned this before)  but..it didn't flip and was a flop, soooo I used already stamped out Santa from that- very lucky find from a Charity shop  (The kind that normally sells old boots, Christmas cards and socks) and made this pop out step card instead. The next cards I make will have to be my own design, as I'm so rubbish at following instructions! (and I don't take all week to make them) This card took me all last week!

I'm quite pleased with it now, so I'm hoping the family members who'll receive it, will recycle it back to me, if they are going to recycle it! Not to worry if they don't, (I've taken pictures) I'll just send them a bought one next year! (with a candle on it...and a bit of holly) The card closes down to a 6x6. I used 250 gsm card for the base, probably from Dovecraft. The backing paper is from 'The Works.' (£3, 12x12 double sided) The tree is embossed then fussy cut, also from a freebie magazine (last year...or the year before)  along with the very tiny die cuts to decorate it. I've also added Nova drops, Stickles, Gems and Wink of Stella. The Santa, (second hand as new, originally a freebie) is from three years ago. The Santa's bag is from a freeie from this year ...actually, I fell asleep when I was fussy cutting it out, can you believe that!? I know we had dogs and Grandkiddies over to stay but falling asleep, mid cut!!? I mean?? Luckily I'd coloured in, using my Promarkers, another  four or five so it can still be used on another card, if I hide half the bow!  I throw nothing away!

 This is the inside

In Sam's Tutorial (How to Make a Four Stepped Card) her card stands up very nicely, she most likely used 300gsm, so I added another blank card to the back of this one, using matching papers, and a sentiment from the same Christmas 12x12 pad, so it stands up very well. (and there's plenty of room to write a message; I may add a white circle diecut  to write on) The 'silver' Merry Christmas sentiment on the front, was also a 'freebie' from a magazine as is the die cut stocking. The Ho Ho Ho's are sequins. The little mouse and the tiny hearts, are Lawn Fawn.

Grandkiddies have been colouring in some of my digis. (We want them BIG Nanny, not little...) just as well Hubby had filled up the ink! I'll add pictures later. That's it... hoping there's not too many smelling misttoks on this post (I did manage not to fall asleep on the keyboard!) I'm finding typing in the dark with this laptop (new last Christmas) is a lot easier as the keyboard lights up and I can see all the letters and numbers, instead of having to best guess! (Note to self, don't buy a silver coloured laptop next time!) That's it! Thanks for stopping by! Stay Safe.

WOYWW? #653 Not A Lot!

It's Wednesday again! Happy WOYWW day! And welcome to my...umm? Bench!  I've not been crafting. Nearly all week, I've been playing with cats and dogs instead. This evening I decided not to sit in the arm chair and fall asleep as I'd been out on a greet and meet this afternoon, in the pouring rain. Hubby said I was mad but still came and stayed in the van. I know the older dog very well but they have a new puppy! Pictures coming up at the end of this week! Now, there is something on my bench, as I said, instead of falling asleep-I knew I had  loads of A4 stamps and other freebies from magazines waiting to be sorted out...sorry about the bad pictures... (That's a hint! New camera needed!)

Well...they are sort of sorted out, but they're not really as I want them....yet.

I've still not finished my clay gingermen... I'm waiting on the tiny screws to fix into their heads, (Ouch!!) a couple of them are so pleased they have magnets instead!

And look what arrived in the week! No! It's not Aladin's shoes! It's a sleigh from  Cindy!!  Thank you so much Cindy, I'm going to paint it and then add papers with red and gold to it.
Actually, here's Cindy's card she sent, I think the colours will look fabulous on the sledge when it's made! Now, I'm off to finish tidying up, we have some dogs visiting tomorrow, feeding someone elses pets and getting my Christmas cards posted! Thank you to whoever linked me last week, sooo kind! But I was very late and my post hadn't been posted til the afternoon. So far, this week,  I have managed to 'get into' Julia's after a bit of jiggery pokery!
Well, that's it from me, see you all over on the Stamping Ground later!! Thanks for stopping by!

Its Time For T for Tuesday.

Hi T For Tuesday Peoples! I wasn't here last week, well I was, but you couldn't see me...I was buried under a pile of slowly growing paper,  card, those little red strips that come off double sided tape, glitter, distressed inks, magazines (I'm addicted to them)....and a few dogs... yes, I know, I'm retired but sometimes you've just gotta have a dog! I'm even going out to meet and greet this afternoon... in the rain...very wet rain! Anyway... Its T for Tuesday and this is what I've decided to add for this week; of course my mug of Hot Chocolate vis Hubby's mug of Coffee (he had the sheep, I had the Santa with the straws plus a spoon as there's also a chocolate flake in there!

It's still about food... Here's Kittle, the cat...whom I'm looking after this week, having her breakfast!

And here's  Boudie, one of the dogs we looked after last week... Jack's gone off chasing another dog!

A little Later, Here's Jack, he's only a puppy! Snoozing at the pub! Completely @*ackered!

Back to eating again... we braved a night out....lovely food and company.

One last picture.... no craftying done this week... waiting on my 'Made to Surprise thingy!!' So here's my latest Charity Shop find instead! Happy Tuesday! Stay Safe. Thanks for stopping by!

WOYWW!? #652 A little bit of santa and a cheeky cat

First!! Happy December!! Then, Afternoon all you crafty  WOYWWers!? Yes I'm late. (I think I'll make that my middle name) Honestly, I go out with two dogs yesterday afternoon. Go down on the beach. Cold, but not too bad, had Hubby with me. It was getting dark, so we thought we'd head back. It's strange how my van heads to the nearest dog friendly pub, whenever hubby's with me! Later, we took the pooches back to their house; they were zapped out. We come home and then... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! What happened? I was snoring  the rest of the evening! Anyway, I'm now where I should've been about 7o'clock this morning! I got started on this weeks freebie and as you can see from the picture above, I was invaded by Jinx. He's sitting on my drawing! You can guess what he's saying. "Feed Me!!"

And then, these came from CraftStash. Papercraft Society Boxes! (I now have four) These were Half Price!! (part of their Black Friday deal) So I had to have two! One's by Helen Griffin and the gnome one is by Olga Direktorenko. The boxes are just piled up on top of my earlier desk, before I cleared it, pushed it back, to do the drawing, which of course made Mr Jinx think I'd cleared the space for him.

I showed these stamps last week I think. I got them from the Crafty Charity shop. They're not all there but then, after looking for some freebie downloads I found the whole set as digi stamps by, none other than Helen Griffin! I love these cute little critters, and Santa.

But.... now this next bit is even weirder!! Sam Calcott was busy showing us how to make a Flip Flop card and was using a Raymond Briggs Santa Stamp from a 2018 Papercraft Essentials Magazine.  I can remember picking this mag up.... but after hunting for it, remembered I'd put it back! (sigh) Now the next day, I did a bit of shopping and was heading for the Charity Crafty Shop, when a little voice in my head said, 'have a quick look in there'. (another charity shop) I nearly didn't, as it only usually has clothes and china and old socks...and even big knickers, but as I opened the door, there, on the first shelf, all on its own was the same Raymond Briggs Santa, complete with all the stamps, papers and foiled die-cuts! I didn't do a double take, I grabbed it thinking I must be dreaming!

So, I've been doing a little jig ever since. No wonder I'm so tired! I've coloured a couple in, and hopefully will put them out later in the week...just have to get the flopping and the flipping bit worked out, only I think I've mastered the 'Flippin' bit already! That's me done, pop over to Stamping Ground and join in, so we can see 'What's on Your Worktop Wednesday!' Thank you for stopping by!
