It's WOYWW 4th Anniversary!!

IT's WOYWW WEEK!!! Happy 4th Anniversary!!  No, there's no ATC's showing on my desk, but!! Anyone who wants to swap,  I'm making them and finishing them off as I sleep!  On my desk this week is that papier-mâché 'pot' from last week, it did work, it's very hard and just  waiting to be painted and made into something.  (Now thinking I might build something 'useful' with more of the 'stuff!') You can see the papier-mâché that's left in the poly bag. It must have been in there for 4 to 5 weeks and is still soft and gooey and ready to use. I'm not here.... taking Compo the wild cat to the vets very early so might not get linked Back later, so hop over to Julia's Stamping ground, and join in!!
You can see the papier-mâché that's left in the poly bag.

Gnome Digi and Compo The Cat: CLOSED

This was the 'hidden' Gnome from last Sunday, but he didn't get many people looking at him and he's feeling very sad, so, seeing I'm not here, (I'm actually trying to catch a wild tom cat that's been living in a compost bin at the bottom of next doors garden for the last 5/6 weeks. Long story, anyway, I've ended up feeding him and he is looking so much better and needs a home, but before the cat home will take him he has to be 'none' so, that's where I'll be, taking him, to the vets! (wish me luck!) which brings me back to gnomes, I found a box of them in our shed (I made them, years ago!) so that's why I did this gnome, but not many of you found him....so, when I get back later today, I'll do you another freebie... so he is only here for 24 hours. No sharing on shared sites please!!!  CLOSED

Walkies with Frank.

I thought you'd like to see Frank! The Doberman I looked after Sunday while his camping family went off to a theme park for the day. We took him for a nice long walk, run, along the Beaulieu River and through the woods, and of course, we stopped at the pub before walking all the way back! He was a very good dog. He always waited for us and always came back when I called him, not bad, seeing he'd never meet us before. Here's a picture of him posing! He loved watching the boats! And here's another at the pub! We quite often take George and Rufus here too.
George and Rufus

Happy Belated Birthday From George and Rufus

It was George and Rufus'  (the Airedale's I often dog sit/walk) "Mum's" Birthday over the weekend, so I thought I'd better make a card!  I was a bit busy dog looking after another dog, called Frank, (see next post, laters) a Doberman, so I'm a bit behind posting this card! Never mind, it's here now!
I've used Bugaboo images, (these cute little dogs from the wizard of oz) and all the paper has been made using ProMarkers in different pinks, even the flowers. I've 3D-ed the dogs, added more candles to the cake, also added the sentiment, slightly curved, to the digi's, then moved it all around on the computer  to fix them together before I printed it out. There's a few pink gems and some spotty brads.
Inside I've used the same images again, but this time cut the cake down, so it looks as if they've eatten it, as George and Rufus eat everything!
Yep, nipped of with my underwear and sox a few times!) I've even punched out the bit where I've added to Sue from us, so it looks like it's been chewed too! The paw print is a punch with dark grey Promaker behind it. And the icing on the cake and on doggy's muzzles?? That's Liquid Applique. It fluffs up when you zap it with a heat gun. I've also added some Stickles Glitter...
The Font is a freebie, I've linked it before...it's called BadDog! or  go HERE (I like the skull font on that page too!) or Google the name. Don't forget to go hunt out the hidden freebie which has now been added to Sunday's Quirky Sneak Peek! If I have time, I'd really love to add some ...

It's Nearly all Quirky Black and White!

Evening Peoples! It's Quirky time again and this fortnights challenge has been thought up by Doris and she would like to see a black and white creation, but with only a hint of your favourite colour! Easy! (Yay, I can do that!)
We have three sponsors this time. Crafty Ribbons, Limited Runs, and Robyn's Fetish!  So loads of prizes! We also have two new guest designers who are staying with us for the next two months. Find out how you too can become a two month guest designer here. We've only just added this so go add your name to the list! You'll be near the top! We also have two challenge winners joining us as guest designers this week too! And they have made some fantastic designs! Go See!!
Here's my card. I couldn't resist this digital Whoosie Owl from Limited Runs .... and yes, once again, Madison had to be in there, somewhere.....waving her axe!
The papers are from Dovecraft's 'A Hint of Pink' by Kate Knight. (which I won some years back, so it may not still be round) Anyway, it's mostly black or very dark grey and white, with a hint of pink, which went very well with a pink feather I've had on my workbench all week! I've also 3D-ed the little owl and added some Glossy-Acents to his eyes (which you can't see) and used Promarkers to colour him. There's also a bit of mock stitching, using a white gel pen.
Inside I've added a little envelope to hide some birthday money. (A BIG Thank you to Joynana who sent me a whole bunch of them ages ago!!)
The feather has been waiting ages for me to use (it must be years old!) and this just seemed to be the right time!  (I promise no pink feathered Owls were harmed in the making of this card!) I've also added 5 black brads, 3 white gems, 2 black and white spotted buttons, 1 Woodward paisley brad, some black mess, black eye-lash wool and a row of black sequins, and some grey ink to smudge it up a bit!
The font I've used is a freebie, it's called  JeffreyPrint JL, download it HERE or just Google the name. Well, that's it I think, I'm not here so I hope blogger has loaded this! I'm out all day with a Doberman called Frank! I've been walking dogs and feeding cats all week, taking over sis in lws job and driving her Animal Ambulance, which is great fun and I don't think I'm going to give it back to her tomorrow when she comes home! Thanks for stopping by! When I get back, I'd love to enter this into some... Scroll down to hunt for the hidden freebie gnome!

Stick Ladies, All In A Row!

I been playing with this weeks freebie, all done on the computer, so it's all a bit of a cheat but very quick and I haven't used any crafty stuff. I guess it would be better if I'd made a whole family of stick people, then it could be sent as an email, when you're away somewhere nice, from all of you. Well, it's no good sending post cards these days is it? They don't
usually arrive until you've been home a fortnight!
The Font I've used is a freebie, you'll find it HERE, it's called Balloonist SF. If you fill in the pop up, join their Mailing List,  they'll send you a free digi every day!

WOYWW

What's on my Workbench this Wednesday
Happy WOYWW! Here's mine. I've been playing with some papier-mâché, (that blob) which I had left over from trying to make those seahorses a few weeks back (They weren't good so ended up making acetate ones instead) It's all mashed up and gooey... and once it's dry it should come off the jar. If it works I'll make a better whatever it is, it might be a pot! Other stuff is what's left of a card I made for S-I-L's birthday. (Hope he liked it)  and the gingham card on the right, was a DT recipe booklet I started to make, but I've mislaid the stamp I needed to use and forgot the challenge called for paint! So that's what's on my work-desk this Wednesday. All a bit boring really! So here's a silly picture of What's On My Sofa too, our lodger cat, Jinx.  Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground if you'd like to join in too!
Jinx our Lodger cat with 'friends'

Another This Weeks Wednesday Digi CLOSED

This is this weeks second digi, although you'll be seeing him as the first. Scroll down for the second one. I've called him Combo as he reminds me of the cat at the bottom of our garden, who lives in next doors compost heap! For the last month I've been feeding him and he's looking a lot better! Please comment if you can! Please don't share on any shared site.Thank you for stopping by!

This Weeks First Digi CLOSED

Since her hubby passed away suddenly at the beginning of last year she started on a whole new career. I want a Pet Ambulance now! So I've been busy feeding cats and walking dogs all day! (really tired! No staying up til 4 in the morning today!)  And, this is what I look like right now! (only fatter!) Anyway, here's Stick Girl for you! Scroll up for Compo Cat! CLOSED

Happy Birthday Tom!

It's son in laws birthday to day, Happy Birthday Tom!!  I thought I'd make him a card with a nice sexy lady on the front this time, instead of a bear, or a monkey from past years, in fact two sexy ladies!
This is one of Kenny K's digi images of course and as you can see I've flipped one of the images the other way.
I've been using my embossing folders, in side and out, and cog die cuts again. I do love them!  This time I inked over all the embossing using a Furry Grey ink,
(Had to get an animal in there somewhere)
I've used metal brads, and well as screw brads and a spanner brad and a charm guitar.
I've coloured her with  ProMarker, using mostly greys. (The card she's printed on wasn't too good (it was, coz it wasn't cheap!) it bled over the edges, which was a bit of a pain! So, after extra careful colouring near the edges, all was okay!)
The papers were a freebie from Simply Cards and PaperCraft magazine, a few months back. Prima Botanical Collection 6x6 paper stack. Probably not really a 'mans' type of paper (coz there are flowers and chirrups cherubs too) but they are all quite dark or light, with prints and other things and have 'graphicy' type patterns and once I'd embossed and inked them, you couldn't really tell what's on them!
I've also coloured a card die-cut T  (for Tom) with a black Promaker.
The sentiment was done on the computer The font is a freebie. It's called Rock, download HERE! It has  musical instruments in the gaps, well, you'll see what I mean!
New Follower (((wave))) to Any Old Craft which I found the other day when I was blog hopping, some lovely cards, so go see! And out the back and in the dark Krisha! But with no link, strike that!! You'll find Krisha  at Krisha's Keepsakes! Hope to enter this and add a few more...

100 Years Old Card

Ooops, no actually, the card isn't that old, it's only a few hours old, but it's for a hundred year old gentleman, (I was asked to make it) So, my attempts of tidying up my crafty space have gone right out the window again, and I'm now in twice as much mess. (Yay!)
Here's the card. It's 8x8. I've used a mixture of papers, My Minds Eye, The cars were a freebie from a magazine and the Prima Botanical is a 6x6 paper-stack which came free from  Simply Cards and PaperCraft a few months back.
Most of the embossing Darice folders came from Crafter's Companion and the little clock charm came with a set from Craft's Beautiful. I've used lots of different shades and plain/embossed mirri/matt gold card for the cog's
and just built them up around the sides. I embossed the clock paper with a clock emboss folder and then attacked it with some TH Vintage Photo

The Font  I've used is a freebie, (I've linked it before) it's called Amazone BT DOwnload it HERE
That's about it. Thank you for stopping by!

This Weeks Wednesday Digi CLOSED

Here's this weeks Digi. You always know when I'm running late, I do a bear!  I know why, it's because in my head I have this cute little bear and, by the time he gets put on paper and than scanned into the computer and then fiddled with in there, CLOSED he comes out not looking the way I want him to look! I've called him Teddy Flower, but if you can think of a better name, let me know!  He comes in both Jpeg and PNG and I've put them both in there for you to download. No sharing on shared sites or other places please, just save him to
our computer, but links back here are always welcome!

It's WOYWW Time Again

Down below is my desk after the weekend painting....nothing but mess there, and turn to the other desk...up the top... I've been hunting for these drawings/maps I did to go with one of my stories, and I found them. (yay) That's what's on my Workdesk this Wednesday! What's on yours? Nip over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!

It's A Quirky Magic Paint Job!

Here's the 'other' card I made and added to the latest Quirky Crafts challenge... Myth and Magic and you must use paint Challenge.
I covered a blank card with some medieval looking backing paper (use your imagination if you think it's not!)  then painted it with some metallic paints I had as a freebie from a magazine sometime ago, (thought it was about time I used them!) They were very nice and left a nice sheen on the paper and of course, I made a nice mess!
Once more I coloured the stamped image from our sponsor, Crackerbox Palace with Promarkers. Stamped the sentiment with black ink and covered it with clear embossing power and zapped it with the heat gun. Added flowers punched from more paper covered in print and painted then sprits with some Cosmic Shimmer. I've then used a little envelope punch from Woodware and folded up some money to hide inside. That's it! Go and see what the other DT member's have made over on Quirky Crafts and join in!

It's All Quirky Myth and Magic!

It's that Quirky time again and it's Daire's turn to set the theme so you know it's gonna be different. This time it's
Myth and Magic and you must use paint on your project!
The sponsors of this challenge are the fabulous:  Crackerbox Palace   who sent the DT some lovely stamps to play with!
So I got nice and messy painting this castle with acrylic paints straight onto the card and adding the sentiment to look like a flag and then added the dragon on dollops of 3D silicone glue (Stamps from our super stamp sponsors Crackerbox Palace ) They were stamped in black ink, covered in clear embossing power and then zapped with the heat gun. Then I cheated and coloured them with ProMarkers. (The paint was covering up the lines!) I've added a couple of brads for 'handles' and then gone around the whole thing with a black Tempo marker pen. I'll tell you about my second card tomorrow (if I have time, as I'm walking six dogs!) but I've already added it to the challenge blog. That's it for now, sorry for being awol, but I'm sort of working on something else! Thanks for popping by!
Will add Challenges later

This Weeks Wednesday Digi CLOSED

The pigeons  in our garden have been for ages, trying to make a nest. Stupid birds that pigeons are, they first chose to build it on the shed, where it just slipped off and then, on a very tiny apple tree, (in a pot) and then in the rose bush climbing near the shed. It's a good place they think...near the pond, the apple tree, and the bird table. (For snacks) The sticks and the eggs kept falling to the ground, and Jinxy the Lodger Cat thought it was a good place to sun himself! The Pigeons, have now gone next door.... I've often thought we should be kind and either make or buy a pigeon house for them. Their ideal home, would be in a rose bush that grows apples too. So this weeks freebie is just for them! Thank you for calling by!!
The lovely card was made by Mo, Twinkletoes2day!!

*** We have seen baby pigeons, so they must have been successful somewhere! (The baby pigeons never stay long )

Happy WoYwW!? #205

Morning peoples! Happy WOYWW. Hope it's sunny where you are...we have the rain back. Never mind! I'm in the middle of sorting out same paints for something that's coming up in a challenge. I like to play with the paint and then scan it in and print it out, then I think it looks less messy if using it on cards or other things, and,  you get to use it again and again if it's a 'good' one.
On the left is one of my baskets filled with freebies from magazines! I really think I should use them up, or at least have a look-see at what there is. Completely forgotten! So, that's me done, I'm a bit late as pictures would NOT load up, and my computer kept crashing, but not as late as last week! Well, that's What's On MY Desk This Wednesday, what's on yours? Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join in!! Thank you for stopping by!

Which cover Help me choose!!

I've been on my computer to night 'playing' with different colours and pictures I have saved, as I've been wanting to make a new cover for one of my story's, as hubby wants to put it on Kindle. This one is called  The Fire Stone. (Really??) The first book comes in two parts and I've very nearly finished Part One! So thought I'd add links here to the beginning and you can nip over and have a read! You don't have to join to read, but to vote and comment you will have to. Anyway, I know I waffle, but I think it's coming along okay... Thank you to those of you who have had a read and emailed me and thank you to those of you who have even joined so you could comment, follow and vote! So, which cover do you like best 1 at the top or 2 at the bottom. Or the old one on the side bar... or none of them!! I can't make up my mind!

A Late Quirky Reminder!

Here at last, better late than never, but as my teacher used to say, 'Better Never Late' Here's my take on this fortnight's challenge reminder over on Quirky Crafts! (yes I know I shoulda bin 'ere yesterday, but Is bin waylaid all over the weekend!)
The challenge is to use a main dark colour and a bright colour and not to use square (or rectangle)!!
So,seeing I have no round cards, I've cut a square card round, embossed the black card with 'manly shapes' using a 'Darice' folder from Crafts Champions. I'm using this little guy again from Stitchy Bear Digi Stamps, coloured him with Promakers, then fixed it all on the front of the card using 3D gel glue, added some swirly die-cuts from Sixix (very old ones!) and then added the sentiments, which I made on the computer.
The font is a freebie it's called Ackident (seeing it looks like he's had one!)
The odd shape of the topper, helps to keep the round card upright!
New Follower, (((wave)) to someone out the back and in the dark with  no link or picture,Catherine Nunez sorry to take sooo long to say hi! and that I can't link you but thank you too for being the first to join in my NEW blog link on my side bar! Thanks for stopping by!!

WOYWW #204 (just)

Hellloo woywwers. No Internet for me for what seems like ages!  Honestly, didn't I flap!! It's Wednesday again.... (Only just!!) I think I've only ever been #1 once on the WOYWW list when Julia posted early, and I was still up, but I don't think I've ever been last!! But you never know I might be! I'm trying my hardest!! Last weeks seahorses were used at my mum flower festival, seen in post below and my desk this week? Not much different from last time as I've been doing other things and got way-laid...(what does that mean?) Will stay up all night to visit this week.. or fall asleep trying!! Have a great crafty week!!
