What's On My Workdesk This Wednesday...??

A box! Not sure what used to be in it. Cigars, Port, Jellies Babies, who knows? Sister-in-law gave it to me. We're cat sitting her cats for the next fortnight, while she flies off to somewhere sunny. People are always giving me boxes. Usually Cardboard and usually empty. But this one looks interesting!! I want to do something with it. Paint it, embellish it, stick things on it and keep little crafty things inside it. Coz it's nice, in't it??
I love the little catch. I might take that off first, and put it back when I've finished. But first, I wanna collect 'things' to go on it. Not sure what yet. Any ideas welcome!
So this is what's on my desk this Wednesday, at One in the morning. What's on yours? Pop over to Julia's blog Stamping Ground to see what's on everybody else's workdesk... If you haven't done it before, you'll be surprised, in fact, you'll wanna join in too! I'm at work. This is on timer and Hubby said he'd link me coz he's at home... (hahahaha...I won't put money on it!)
New Followers (((wave!!)) tabitha4cm and America Kuhn both out the back and in the dark with no links but I think this might be Cards by America fabulous cards and a House Mouse Fan!! Thanks for stopping by!

  35. Ooo vintage decoupage images is what I would put on the outside. On the inside, hmm, well I would probably do some of my delicate crafties, or maybe special stamps, just not sure. Love the little mousy, he is too cute, thanks Spyder!

  37. Poor bird is right...but since it was filmed on the West Coast the bird must be a member of SAG. I'm sure it was only play acting, since there are unions involved. I'm also sure that your box will be gorgeous as everything you do is! Have a creative week girlie!

  59. Hi Lyn, I am sure you will create something wonderful on the box. I think some of Tim Holtz little metal frames with family pics on it would look nice for a vintage look.
By the way my Hubby is blaming you for me going to the market and getting a Haggis (LOL)
    Keep Well, Chris

  60. Lyn,

I've never seen a cigar box that beautiful before. I wonder if it was an old jewelry box. It has a gorgeous clasp on it, too. Being a lover of wood, I can't tell you I would paint it, but I love it. Sorry I didn't visit last week. As you read, I was in crisis mode. Happy belated WOYWW from #10.
