Just Take One Stitch At A Time...

Thank you to all those who entered last weeks Ribbon, Lace and Bows Challenge. It's the A teams turn this week over on One Stitch At A Time, and the challenge couldn't be more different if it were covered in marmalade moon cheese and wrapped in octopus poo! The challenge for this week is a pretty hard one, I think, right out of my comfort zone. It's... dah dah!!!

Military

I was given Susan's (Crafty Chaos Designs) lovely Blue Denim papers in loads of shapes and shades but had nothing military to add to my card at all, so this is what I did with them. My first thought was a tank...but somehow it got changed to a boat...the rest of the A Team have come up with some fabulous makes, using images from the Stitchy Bear Stamps Store so pop over and have a look.
Then after thinking really hard my small brain had a picture of Rolf's Harris' song, Two Little Boys, playing with their toys and their wooden rocking horses, you know the story as it repeats itself as they grow up to become fighting men in the army (I always cry buckets!!) So, I did a doodle, first with two little boys, then a boy and his little sister and their toys. They all got ripped up (that's the cards not the children!) and I came up with what you see now, in the second card...
There is a deeper meaning to the little snippet sentiment I added, but you have to be kind of weird like me to get it I think!! I'm odd like that!
Pop over to OSAAT and join in, I'm sure you'll all come up with something amazingly brilliant! The Font i've used is called DayDream, it's a freebie. (even though some sites want to charge you for it) There's a link on one of the posts below. This is on timer...so I'll be back later to add links and add more pictures. Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.
