Distressing, the Next OSAAT's Challenge!

The Challenge has already started over on
On Stitch At A Time,
so get your skates on and zoom over to see who won last weeks challenge, who our top three are and who ate all the doughnuts...
This Weeks OSAAT's Challenge is...

Torn, Distressed and Shabby!
Aw well, yep! That describes me!! I'm sitting here wearing my very torn and worn jeans and I haven't seen a comb this morning!! But you don't want to know that!!
The DT members have all come up with a variety of fabulous makes, so pop over to One Stitch At a Time and have a go!
Now then... I only have one little container of Tim Holtz distressing ink in Vintage Photo brown... and as you can see I didn't use it! But I did use Cow Girl's Up (Stamp With C.J.) image 'Checked Faerie'. You can find her and loads of other images in the Stitchy Bear Store.
I shrunk her down to make her a little bit smaller and coloured her with just one colour, Pastel Blue, with my Promaker. The tips of her wings were dabbed with blue ink. Once everything had dried, I added a thin line of glue with my Quickie Glue Pen around her wings and sprinkled on some micro fine glitter.
I did have a go at using the Tim Holtz distressing ink, but well, didn't really have anything to go with it, so just had a 'play' with the image as you can see by the picture. At one time she was brown, pink, 'normal colour' and also green, as well as being a lot bigger and very tiny! I put lots of her and flipped her over (she didn't mind!) and put her on one of my own backgrounds, but didn't like that. I was just wondering what to use when....luckily yesterday, my CardMaking and PaperCraft Magazine turned up with a free 'Kate Knight' paper stack, and I found a nice blueish flowery paper, which I ended up using on my card.
I've torn and inked the edges of the blue paper with a mixture of blue inks from my 'Color Box Petal Point Pigment Option Pad 'Mist' (Yep, copied that off the lid!) fixed that to a slightly larger and darker blue card, and then attached the ribbon and little angel charm (It was supposed to be a butterfly but I can't find where I put them! So, just pretend it's a butterfly) I made the flowers by rubbing the same blue inks on some paper, punched them out and then rubbed them over with my large 'balled' embossing tool, just to make the paper curl a bit. The little butterflies and tag were made in the same way. Not as torn or distressed as me but not too bad, considering I don't usually do torn or distressed!! (Although I did wag my finger at it a few times!)
The tag reads, Spread a Little Fairy Dust and was typed out on the computer using a freebie font, called Curlz MT and you can down load it HERE or HERE Quite a favourite font this, keep seeing it everywhere used commercially too.
I'm off to find some Challenges now, so catch you later!!
